Wisting is a Norwegian crime series. It looked good. They were trying to catch a serial killer with the FBI. Halfway through the first season, the case was solved and the Americans (led by Carrie Anne Moss) left, so then all the cast was Norwegians and all the dialogue was in Norwegian, and Norwegians (or at least these Norwegians) aren't all that interesting. It was the folly of trying to combine two novels into one television series. Also, I fear that the Schwedenkrimi wave has finally crested and begun to recede.

This is really tragic and absurd. Several of these people were expressly told by the government they could vote, including having their registration cards sent to them. One woman could barely read or write, got her card, and thought she could vote. A guy got hauled away by a SWAT team in his underwear. All to find this phantom fraud everyone's been yelling about.

Yes, these were people who were convicted of terrible crimes. They had done their time. They didn't deserve this.

Freder, Inga, and all those others like them...

I say the President of the United States, while POTUS, can wave his hands over a pile of documents and say "Abracadra, these documents are unclassified." and presto, chango, they're unclassified and there's nothing that anyone else in government can do about it. In fact, he can even skip saying abracadra.

And you're all saying"But he has to follow procedure! of "That's a misreading of the law!"

Okay, simple. Quote teh law that describes the procesure the President of the United States has to follow to declassify a document. SHould be easy. You all insist there is one.

There's a big wide internet out there. I'm sure you can find that law. Not some VIP (in his own mind) saying he has to do it "The RIght Way!" or else it doesn't count. The law, a ;aw, a reallive actual law.

Well, actually I'm sure you could find that law. If it existed. It doesn't. But you insist it's out there- so find it.Meantime, Ill stick with the Abracadabrra or similar methods workfor PORUS.

But not for SECSTATE. SECSTATE has no declassification authority. Rules and regulations apply to all SECSTATEs. Well, apparently all who aren't females named Clinton.

What happens when DemoncRATs contro; all 3 branches of government? Freedom gets restricted. laws are passed that require you to show ID that you're over 21 to buy whipped cream.

Remember- if you pull the lever- or color the circle- or punch the card- or whatever- for a DemoncRAT at any level of government- you're voting for Whipped Cream Control! You're voting for the nanny state run amuck.

Tragic and absurd is a bit over the top. I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase, “ignorance of the law is no excuse.” And, of course, we’re taking their word for it that they were ignorant of the law—I’m sure they’d freely admit that they knew what they doing if they did. Right?

If they can prove their cases, then leniency may be in order, but let’s drop the hysterics over Florida actually doing something about voter fraud.

This is really tragic and absurd.

Perhaps. But how does it compare to a year in solitary and possibly years more behind bars for trespassing? Especially when others who have committed the same crime aren't even prosecuted?

I agree, the person handing out voter registration cards to ineligible people should have been the one dragged off.

As for felons, change the laws if that’s how you feel, but you seem to think that the laws don’t apply if liberals don’t like them.

Is Ukraine ever going to stop shelling that Russian held nuclear power plant, or are we all supposed to pretend that either the Russians are shelling themselves to create huge problems for themselves because they are dirt stupid, or is it that creating another Chernobyl is justified for the glory of Ukrainian?

Pennsylvania Abruptly Changes Voter Registration Form, Combines With Mail-In Ballot Application

"In the middle of the election cycle, the Pennsylvania Department of State has suddenly changed its voter registration application form to include a mail-in ballot application.

The applications used to be on separate forms, but this seemingly small clerical change is creating logistical headaches for county election directors and causing voter confusion.

Registering to vote and seeking a mail-in ballot are two different actions requiring different responses in the county election offices.

...

As election officials, we asked [the state] to wait until December. This is going to take voter education and explaining how the new form works,” Miller said. “There’s a big election coming up in November. I think everybody in Pennsylvania knows that. And all we wanted to do was wait until December to let us keep our offices going the way that they’re going. Not having to teach our staff new ways of doing things, and voters new ways of doing things. You know, keep things the same at least through November.”

Jonathan Marks, deputy secretary at the Pennsylvania Department of State, told The Philadelphia Inquirer the goal of the change is to simplify the process, so voters don’t have to fill out two forms.

The Epoch Times asked the Department of State why it didn’t wait until after the election cycle to change the form. The department did not respond by press time.

In addition to combining the voter registration and mail-in ballot applications, the state also changed the gender identification options on the forms.

Voters may now choose male, female, or nonbinary/other.

"And, of course, we’re taking their word for it that they were ignorant of the law"

They registered to vote, their applications were reviewed and approved, and they received registration cards. They shouldn't have registered, but we're not taking them at their word -- the government gave them their cards. Some were visited in prison by government officials about the new law allowing felons to vote. Their votes should not count and they should get a slap on the wrist, rather than being paraded out as a justification for all this effort to find systematic fraud. Or is this the type of election-turning fraud Trump supporters have been screaming about for two years?

"As for felons, change the laws if that’s how you feel, but you seem to think that the laws don’t apply if liberals don’t like them."

I'm not even talking about whether they should have been eligible to vote. That said, Florida did change the law to allow many felons to vote.

Ok. So let's FOIA the docs then.

Nearly two years after the 2020 election, some voters in Baltimore just received their mail-in ballots. Still cheating after all these years.

But not for SECSTATE. SECSTATE has no declassification authority. Rules and regulations apply to all SECSTATEs. Well, apparently all who aren't females named Clinton.

That's not true. SECSTATE must follow the process to declassify documents and has authority for SECSTATE documents. Each program has a classification guide which states what is classified and how declassification can occur. These class-guides are update periodically, and what was a classified item may no longer be classified after the update. I've worked programs where this has happened.

The process we used was to Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) had to review the document, fill out the form attesting that the document contains no classified info, and can be declassified. This was the process for SECRET documents. TOP SECRET/SPECIAL ACCESS PROGRAM documents could never be declassified.

It all depends upon the nature of the documents. The classification training emphasizes about not over-classifying documents, but that happens all of the time. Often, it's CYA action, often because of doubt. Some classifications are coverup illegal actions.
