"A former co-worker of Chris Cuomo made a sexual misconduct allegation against the former CNN anchor..."

"... who was fired Saturday for misleading the cable network about the extent of the role he played trying to mitigate the sexual harassment accusations that took down his brother, former Gov. Andrew Cuomo.... The disclosure came as an outside law firm was probing new documents released by by New York’s top prosecutor Monday that suggested the younger Cuomo was more involved trying to control damage to his brother’s political career than he previously said. The woman who leveled the unknown accusations against Chris Cuomo, 51, was a former 'junior colleague' at another news network, according to Debra Katz, the accuser’s lawyer, the paper said.... Katz... told the paper her client 'came forward because she was disgusted by Chris Cuomo’s on-air statements in response to the allegations made against his brother, Governor Andrew Cuomo.' Specifically, Katz reportedly cited a March 1 broadcast where the anchor said 'I have always cared very deeply about these issues, and profoundly so. I just wanted to tell you that.'"

He should use the AOC defense...
"Who are you going to believe? ME? or Your Lying Eyes?
AOC cast doubt on whether rampant smash-and-grabs are actually occurring.
"A lot of these allegations of organized retail theft are not actually panning out," Ocasio-Cortez said in an interview with The Washington Times last week.

i mean, SURE,
Shelley Ross thinks that Chris Cuomo felt her up...
But WHO is she going to believe? Chris Cuomo? Or her lying eyes and nerve endings?

Note to women. If you did not complain at the time then you welcomed the attention at the time.

If there's no police report at the time, it didn't happen.

Democrats like their men rapey and their women submissive.

It fits long held societal patterns that they are trying to take the United States back to.

Equal protection under the law is anathema to them.

Who didn't know that it was going to be some well-aged 'MeToo' bullshit that was the coup de grĂ¢ce that has been hinted at for a couple days now?

CNN wouldn't fire Chris Cuomo after his brother's protective shield fell away, simply for his being a dumbass political hire. They wouldn't fire him for committing inexcusable breaches of journalistic ethics. But let the execrable Debra Katz come along with some "disgusted" sexual harassment tool that she scraped up at another network, and bam, Fredo is gone. Amazing but predictable.

Chris shoulda been fired when he got filmed breaking quarantine and threatened the guy who filmed him. CNN was complicit in his misbehavior then, giving him a "coming outta the basement quarantine" faux special show, and CNN is complicit now, and CNN is gargbage with or without Cuomo.

Since his brother is now a powerless has-been, why do they need Fredo at all?

Sure he was one of their top rated presenters but top rated on CNN is the bottom for any other station including the Dubuque public access channel.

Maybe this is one small step towards a return to respectability if the 80s

It sure is bizarre how people hooked-up with NewAgers all seem to be having ethics problems.

The reason the mainstream left Democrats accuse conservatives of all sorts of evil is because they can’t see past their own corrupt behavior. Most of their accusations are classic projection. I am mostly confused by their decisions when they take down one of their own for corrupt and evil behavior. Are they believing that the Cuomo brothers’ behavior is an aberration in their liberal community? And what exactly is the tipping point when their behavior goes from acceptable to punishable? There is an inscrutable calculus at work in their pretzel logic minds that eludes me.

I don't care for Chris Cuomo, I'm not shedding any tears for his firing but his helping his brother while wrong is on a human level understandable. There is always a pattern to these sexual harassment allegations and charges, they are almost always done years after the fact and not contemporaneous to the alleged complaint. There should a statute of limitations that is fairly short, perhaps three years to either charge with a crime or file a lawsuit for damages.

In retrospect New York made a huge mistake by not voting for the Homo instead of the Cuomo. Ed Koch would have been a far better governor than Mario Cuomo plus without the father it is far less likely Andrew would have ever been elected governor and Chris would have more likely been a realtor. That CNN survives at all is probably due to the fact cable companies carry them and thus they get a certain amount of money per cable subscriber. One would think out fairness that OAN and Newsmax would also be required on the basic subscription. Or unbundle cable and let the subscriber pick and choose what channel they want ( my choice).

Fuck off, Fredo.....I'm not doing the battered wife syndrome.

The word "misleading" is misleading. It suggests that CNN really didn't know (or at least suspect) that Chris was using his position in the media to help his brother cover up a brewing scandal. That sounds like willful ignorance and doesn't pass the smell test.

More probable is that his actions met with the approval of his bosses as long as they worked and could be kept quiet. Once neither of those things were true, he became a liability and could no longer be protected. Notice for instance, how quickly this harassment claim showed up after his firing.

Could you at least try and pay attentiion?

CNN will soon come under the thumb of Liberty Media major shareholder John Malone who has already designated Discovery CEO David Zaslav as the leader of the combined Warner Bros Discovery after WarnerMedia and Discovery merge in a $43Billion deal.

Zucker sees the writing on the wall and is already pretending to be all about "integrity".

What I read is that Cuomo gave her a hug and simultaneously gave her ass a squeeze. She's married and Cuomo did it while her husband was right next to her.

Historically the way people resolved this was by slapping the shit out of men who act this way.

Or the husband punches them.

But since we're all refined now, for a lot of people I guess violence to a low-level sexual assault is off the table. I can see why she wouldn't call the police. (Which of course you might do if somebody got slapped and fisticuffs broke out).

A lot of women believe in calming men down, not escalating situations.

When I heard the specific allegations, I totally believed her.

But the term "sexual misconduct" is so vague, my first impulse was that maybe he was innocent.

I feel like a lot of "sexual misconduct" is in a dating situation where there is miscommunication. What this seems like to me is a case where an uppity up thinks he can do whatever he wants with the little peons.

Really I think it's fine to just bring back the slap.

Through his politically motivated actions and decrees, Andrew Cuomo was complicit in over five thousand preventable COVID deaths. Later, he conspired with Democratic propaganda organs, The New York Times and CNN most conspicuously, to unjustly blame those homicides on President Trump. However, Andrew Cuomo lost his governorship over allegations of "inappropriate" but otherwise harmless touching of (allegedly) adult women.

Chris Cuomo used his position at CNN to discover the identities of several anonymous persons who have accused his brother of improprieties. Some of those persons may have been contacted by Cuomo or his operatives in an effort to discredit them. such use of (an alleged) newsroom's editorial resources for personal gain or advantage is a violation of journalistic ethics, however soiled and threadbare those ethics have become. For that ethical lapse, Cuomo received an "indefinite suspension", which could have been lifted in a matter of weeks, according to Brian Stelter. Whether that suspension involved any reduction in pay or benefits was never made clear. Nevertheless, Chris Cuomo lost his lucrative CNN post to allegations of "inappropriate" but otherwise harmless touching.

It seems that inappropriate touching is the only capital crime in Oceania.

That and Goldsteinism.

You know what's Never Happened, in the History of the World?
it's Never Happened that a man would cop a feel, ONE TIME IN HIS LIFE
if you're going to be copping feels, you're going to do that fairly regularly
if you're going to be copping feels In Public! What are you doing behind closed doors?
