Depends on who she was. If she was Trump supporter, expect the media to slander her relentlessly. By the end of the weekend, she will be claimed to have eaten puppies and children. If she turns out to be a counter-protester and Democrat, only then will she be turned into a martyr.

Who was the woman who died? Anyone hear anything? What an unnecessary tragedy.

Anderson Cooper just said that the rioting Know Nothings are leaving the capitol and "heading back to the Olive Garden and Holiday Inn".

Leland said...

As I read elsewhere, people are claiming Trump never fully denounced protesters when asked during a debate; curious, has the press identified the woman shot at the Capitol as a Proud Boy?

(WARNING: VIDEO IS OF A POLICE MURDER)

They straight up killed that woman as she tried to look over a barricade. President Trump absolutely should hold the DC police accountable, as she is far less culpable than the wife-beaters and druggies that are the saints of BLM.

Yes, I know that the garbage living on Capitol Hill would much rather throw this pig a party instead of turning him to bacon like he deserves. But it will be a knock on Donald Trump, who actually has values, to not punish the murderer.

Good evening, Republican comrades! I offer greetings and salutations amidst our Glorious Insurrection!

A few insights I have noticed:

1. Not only is this ALL the fault of the left (or directly perpetrated by it), the left is responsible for everything! So from today forward, we are no longer the party of personal responsibility. We are not even the party of political responsibility. We are the party of personal irresponsibility!

2. The demands of our new faction are simple, despite the very well-organized (and smartly dressed) nature of our new leadership: To make DJT and Family president for life and to allow him to dictate every single policy goal at all times, no matter how incoherent it seems (to the left and the fake news). That is why they can seem like a disheveled mob. In reality, they are sharp as tacks!

That is all for now. Let us break bread and discuss all that we have in common later!

Inga - Give us the quote. To incite a riot, there has to be a call for riot and violence. Give us the link and the verbiage, right here, right now, that shows Trump calling for a riot.

If you can't do that, please take your Democrat propaganda talking points and go elsewhere. Anywhere your rampant dishonesty is welcome, because it sure isn't here. I'm sure China could find a place for their fellow traveler.

doctrev said...

Oh, St. Kyle's been more useful in 2020 than the vast majority of cops in dealing with subhumans like Rosenbaum, who prey on innocent children and get slaps on the wrist from our corrupt legal system for raping them.

Given that the NYPD endorsed Trump, I don't think they're fooled by Biden's plans to moderate. It doesn't really matter: the courage has been bred out of the badge gang, and I don't think they'll be able to stand against either side when things really heat up.

True!

They were mean to us, and said unkind things - even though all we were trying to do was to break into and burn down the American Congress! Clearly such unkindness deserves physical retaliation.

Why can't they sympathize with our violent ways? We are right and deserve to be in control - no matter how many courts and judges disagree with us. And can't we dismantle the courts too? Isn't that the American way?

BLM inspired riots killed around 20 people. This led to exactly zero assertions of BLM responsibility by left wingers. It's a shame people can't even try to apply their principles to themselves, but it's hard to maintain your hatred if you can't claim your enemies have blood on their hands.

No, what I see all too often among Republicans who are uneasy with Trump is an aesthetic revulsion, and not really a presentation of another path forward. I also think that the unease with Trump runs very hard into the "compared to who?" wall. Most of 2020 featured major lefty insurgencies in quite a few American big cities. Irony: all the people here and all around me criticizing Trump for inciting all this violence, thinking this is some cult of personality, don't realize Trump is a vessel, a symbol and probably the only force in American politics with the gravitas and credibility to channel this rage away from violence.

Then there's the irony of people falling over themselves to praise Pence's statement on the TV today. People don't seem to realize that Pence's behavior, alongside that of our other leaders, played a bigger role in precipitating the rioting today than anything Trump has said. If that darn Trump would just stop talking about the election, we'd all forget about it, is that what they think? I don't think so. I think people are fed up and feeling that all manner of redress is pointless, and that's not because of Trump's words, but rather because of the actions and inaction of the rest of our leadership.

The sudden change in rules, or poor training of the Capitol Police, lead to this person's death. If you wanted to find a way to slow down or stop rioting, the chance to do that was over the last, what, two years? Instead, we were told protesters don't need to be polite or peaceful and that protesters should be given space to destroy.

The secret rule though was only SOME protesters get that. The others, the ones that the Democrats don't like? They get the bullet.

Protesters literally burned down a police precinct earlier this year... and no one turned lethal weapons on them. As far as the reports are saying, an unarmed minor was shot to death because, for some reason, THIS protest is getting treated differently than others.

The right way to have stopped this protest? To have *been using appropriate force for the last several years against rioters instead of saying that they should be given space to destroy and that protesters don't have to be polite and peaceful.* Not suddenly change the rules because all of the people in power are OK killing some protesters.

One would have heard their response “I would never have thought to do anything like this, but I cannot let this stand. If not now, then when?”
One would have observed very few instigators, who would have seemed suspicious, possibly provocateurs.

Most of the heavily armed Capitol Police seemed at ease outside the barricaded doors at the time of the shooting, evidently not in communication with those inside the barricaded door.

Clearly, the officers outside could have pulled this girl down if that was the concern or instruction radioed from inside before opening fire, as the officers were in the actual line of fire.

It'll be interesting to see if she was shot by a Capitol Police regular, or some type of trigger-happy patronage hire with something to prove.

The Sergeant at Arms was supposedly purged of patronage after the House Banking scandal.

I don't know about you all but I am definitely looking forward to four more years of this! What a wonderful way to prove how righteous our new Trump Patriot Republican cause truly is! No one will ever vote Democrat again. And if they do, the courts/congress will side with us next time and overturn the results.

You aren't very smart.

You are going to get the low trust society you have been fighting for.

I love Achilles! His answer to everything is MOAR violence from us, and you made us that way! That is exactly the leadership/policy model that our patriotic movement needs.

You are a stupid person.

I am not advocating more violence.

I am telling you it is inevitable.

The only thing I want is for the people responsible for this situation to suffer the consequences of their actions rather than innocents who just want to live.

Why yes. The #resistance is taking shape is it not? Missed your commentary on the assault on Federal buildings out west but i suppose you missed it yourself. The assault that is.

Four more years of violent protests like we've endured all 2020? I hope not. Merrick Garland can win some bipartisan points by going after both the pro-Trump rioters in the Capitol (and elsewhere today -- Kansas City and Olympia too?) and also the violent BLM/Antifa protesters that attacked courthouses and other Federal buildings all summer 2020. Crush them all, down to the lowliest protester who smeared feces on a police car (well, that's probably not a federal crime). Make a clean breast of it.

I mean, we saw how the police and others reacted to attacks on the White House, against people who publicly declared wanting to kill or end the administration of the president. They weren't hit with lethal weapons.

That's right.

So... yeah. Suddenly using lethal weapons is NOT consistent with how we've been handling protests *for years.*

Wow, apparently, a minor, unarmed girl changed the calculus.

The howling from the Commie-pinko lefties regarding the assault on our elected officials is somewhat amusing. Oh, the danger they were in. Reminds one of Hillary dodging sniper fire.

Anyone remember a fella named Steve Scalise getting shot? Or Rand Paul getting pounded and hospitalized? Or Josh Hawley's wife and child being terrorized while home alone? Those stories disappeared off the news faster than you can say Eric Swalwell.

Voting is the proper way we are to express our political sentiments.

That route has been nullified now by fraud.

Is to have no course of action at all.
Alternative means then become necessary.

Okay, by some strange act of fate, I ended at a barbecue joint tonight waiting for take-out with....a Capitol Hill Police Officer!

And he was very talky indeed! Now, according to him, what happened was that the rioters broke through the police cordon with pepper spray & then a mass rush. They also left "fake bombs" around the Capitol. According to the officer, who was in another building when all this went down, they heard three large booms, and that made the CP fear that the pipe bombs were real (apparently none of them were). This is why the CP was in such panic mode. They thought the capitol was being "mined".

I am in no position to judge the truth or falsity of these claims. I'm just reporting the words of a law enforcement officer at the scene, who was very thankful to be going home to his family after a terrible, horrible, very much no-good day.

Since they got in and harmed exactly zero elected officials this is demonstrably untrue. It's interesting to note how extreme people misrepresent reality to justify deadly force against their enemies.

I don't condemn the protesters. I don't support them either.
I do condemn anyone who breached the capital grounds.
I even more so condemn anyone who breached the capital building.

As for the girl who was shot, she was attempting to breach a third defensive perimeter. She did not deserve to be shot, any more than a young child who runs out into the street deserves to be hit by a car. But it should have been the expected outcome of her actions.

It was not Trump's fault, or the shooter's fault, or the other protesters' fault. It was her fault, and being a child, her parents fault as well.

In May and June, Washington D.C. was in *fucking flames*.

https://www.wusa9.com/article/news/local/dc/washington-dc-fires-white-house-area-st-johns-church-on-fire/65-d7a62c04-f76e-45e0-a13b-6a69ca8f5070

#DCsBravest responded to 554 calls on Sunday, May 31st. There were 143 critical and 204 non-critical EMS dispatches, and 117 fire related incidents and other types of emergencies, including several structure fires related to civil disorder, & a non-related working structure fire.

Was there *any* concern in the media, or among our "elected officials"?

Fuck no. Anyone caught burning and looting was released. The mayor *sent the National Guard home* rather than have them do anything about it.

And now you pretend that a couple of busted doors and windows is the most beyond the pale example of political violence that has ever existed?

Fuck you all raw. Seriously. I hope you just fucking die.

I have looked at a lot of Trump supporters at many rallies and no one ever looked like "animal skin guy." The typical Trump supporter is middle class, over 50, very straight. Certainly they don't appear the type to have any experience breaking into government facilities. The people who actually chose to break into the Capitol and led the attack were not typical Trump supporters, although clearly some Trump supporters did choose to follow and get caught up in the violent action. I do think the fake pipe bombs are definitely the action of an organized violent group.

Here however is a rough looking Trump supporter (a biker for Trump?) who reports with his phone providing video footage of a convoy of chartered buses of antifa supporters escorted to the demonstration by metro police. There is definitely something odd up with that. Twitter link

I'm sorry that girl got shot and lost her life. No one from Biden's camp is suggesting the police should have fired at her legs. No one is calling for a riot in retaliation over the tragic shooting of an unarmed protester.

Too many hypocrites coming out in force blaming Trump for the violence. The plan was to march to the Capitol, not to break in.

After a year of violence and rioting from the Left without any consequence it's just tragic that the news at the NYPost is that the woman killed was an Air Force vet. She never ever expected protesters would be shot with live ammo.

"Even without a shred of evidence that fraud occurred"

Gaslighting cockholster. You know there literally could not be more hard irrefutable evidence than we already have. You know every single kind of evidence exists. And even if it didn't, the fact that literally every single voter integrity measure was illegally dismantled by judges and governors that had no authority to do so prior to this election alone should instantly and automatically invalidate it.

I do appreciate that, in the context where the conservative right that has had every single institutional power fully weaponized against them (and total immunity for yourselves) to the point that the cartridge box is the only remaining option, you are doing your absolute best to make sure no one could ever miss you.

No, Capitol Police have a hand in this. It's not like this protest was a flash mob, it had been publicized for at least a month. If they'd properly planned none of this would have happened.

I think it can be truthfully said Steve Scalise's shooting was never in the news. If it were in my local papers- it was not on the front page.

And as for violence- I mentioned in a comment yesterday that if someone in NY randomly says "I think someone needs to shoot our idiot governor!" average citizens nearby will agree. Never seen that before. Well, it wasn't randomly- it was someone who treveled to have a meal out who discovered the idiot had shut down restaurants again. Restaurants, where since shows that 1.5% of all covid transmissions occur- maybe, kind of sort of, but can't really prove it- but 1.5!!! of them. So let's bankrupt all the small business owners running restaurants and crowd everyone into Walmart which remains open.

One of my children contracted the dreaded covid at Walmart. How do we know he got it there? He works there. Or maybe instead of getting it there in a 10 hour workday he got it sitting in McDonalds for 15 minutes. Or passing by someone in the hotel he was staying at. His job requires travel.
