I don't want to criticize a bona fide speech impediment, but it is valuable to notice what triggers an intense bout of stammering. It's right when he's about to reveal too much.Joe Biden is asked about his disagreements with Kamala Harris on certain issues:

With Kamala Harris looking on and imperiously smiling, Biden reveals a plan to suddenly "develop some disease and say I have to resign."

He said the quiet part out loud
This once great nation is so potentially f*cked.
My DIL insists much of the way he speaks is typically for someone who has compensated for a stutter (she’s a speech therapist.)
Coming from another profession viewpoint, I’ve taken care of a lot of elders who have that ramblings, somewhat related phrases strung together way of speaking that is one more sign of decline.
I’ll have to ignore it just the same way I learned to ignore the Trump tweets.
Thank God in that brief video Kamala didn’t laugh. (The ultimate tell)
That's not a speech impediment, just normal dysfluency while a continuation is sought.
It doesn't sound like a stutter to me. It sounds like a normal verbal tic. Most people sometimes repeat a word when they are struggling to choose the next word. It's more like "uh" or "umm" than a speech impediment.
"where there's a fundamental disagreement based on a moral principle"
Whew, what a relief to know that in the Biden era there'll never be that kind of disagreement since Democrats have NO moral principles.
He opposed the raid on bin laden he didnt resign, he was for lockdown in the case of h1n1
Hillary must be fuming at how Presidential Biden makes her look...
We're fucked.

She should learn to code.
I'm not sure about the speech impediment stuff (and don't necessarily care), I'm more concerned that in that whole snippet of video there is nothing really that makes any sort of sense to most functioning adults.

Like I told Barack...
I'm old enough to remember when we collectively abhorred family dynasties dominating American politics. Seems like only yesterday...
It looks like the US Supreme Court will involve itself in the election. The article's final two paragraphs:
[quote]
here is no doubt that Justice Alito — and likely the entire Court — has been working on the response to the Emergency Application since shortly after it was filed. They did not delay their work waiting for the Penn. Supreme Court to act. We should have an answer from the Court sometime today or tonight [December 3 or 4].
As I said yesterday, there is no reason for Justice Alito or the Court to grant this Application if they do not intend to enter the litigation brawl that is currently being waged in several courts right now. But if the Court does grant the Application, and enjoins Pennsylvania from naming electors, the chances are very high that the Court intends to take up all the challenges over the next couple of weeks.
[end quote]
The video of the late-night processing of absentee ballots in Georgia will be an important factor in the US Supreme Court's actions.
So HE would resign so the Queen can reign. This is more than pitiful. It's pathetic.

Whatever is wrong with Jo Biden (stuttering, normal verbal tic, speech impediment, etc) didn't seem that bad 10 years ago (and seemed non existent 20 years ago)
The argument that Jo "stuttered as a child" or had a brain injury in the 80's; doesn't seem to address the fact that he's Getting Worse; and Getting there FAST.
Fortunately,
He's made it clear that by April 2021; he'll suddenly "develop some disease and say I have to resign."

If I were Taiwanese, I would be more than worried.
And Harris looks at Biden as though she's thinking the lyrics "Under My Thumb."
She will rely heavily on Obama for policy decisions.
We are going to be fucked arseways.

In the words of Frank Zappa.....WE ARE DUMB ALL OVER
Did we ever hear about the stutter until the decline became obvious? They've made it a central focus of Joe 2020, but he's never been "Joe the Stutterer" and we've known him a loooooong time.
What a weird thing to say. Did Tapper blow right past it?
Did you miss the part about "and I told Barack" referring to a conversation he had with Obama when Joe was only the lowly VP?
If he and Kam were in on the coup/fraud, they could ask Hillary to have them Epsteined.
No one ever heard about joe being a stutterer before, he was just an angry, lying plagiarist. An odd technique to soften the edges.

It's very interesting to watch this situation develop.

Not true here but listen to Wm F Buckley - that vocabulary is all alternate words.
He doesn't say whether she's made the same promise.

Which government agencies are responsible for certifying verbal tics?

That part needs more discussion. It's one thing for him to offer to resign when he is vice-president, but now that he's president, he should be demanding her resignation, not offering his own. It shows that he still has the side-kick mindset. He's not thinking like a president.
He's not thinking like a president.

Biden the idiot, and the Democrats stealing an election. Thank God for the return to normal!
Biden let the cat out of the bag. Why would Biden resign over a policy disagreement rather than Kamala, unless that was the plan all along. (ya think?) Did Tapper follow up with that question? Kamala Harris is dumb enough, and unprincipled enough that she can be controlled.
What???!!!
He keeps telling us what's happening (i.e. “We have put together I think the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics.”) and we keep smiling, nodding our heads and saying, he's so charming, so real.
Nah. He's a dolt, has always been a dolt, a bullying dolt. And now he's your President for a cup of coffee.
You thought Trump was hard to listen to? Wait'll you get a dose of Kamala for a couple of years.
Did YOU miss the part where he indicated lying is part of the set-up, as in, “I’ll DEVELOP some disease” as a pretext for resigning? Is deceit a quality you now admire again, thinking you’re rid of the Bad Orange Man now and can resume SOP?
Phil3:14 @ 6:38
So what you're telling us is that Biden isn't competent to be president. I got that right?
It's a cry for help
Joe is saying "don't let me become prez or we are all fucked"
Will legislators, state and congressional, take this into account in the choosing process?
I think, someone check me, that congress can override the vote of the electors in a worst case scenario.

Things are all lovey dovey in public but Biden, although an idiot, does understand that she is not an ally but a threat, and is going kick that nasty POS to the curb quick.
Will they live up to their oath though?
No one laughed.
Biden can't remember what day it is, but he can remember that debate where that scheming slut tried to take him out with a "racist!" killshot.
And tulsi blocked her:

I'm not a fan of reaction videos but you have to appreciate the ones where Biden gives a speech and the people next to him get that ???? look when he takes 4 or 5 words and combines them into one.
Plan to suddenly "develop some disease".
Maybe Hunter Biden can help with that. Anything's possible in that family.

Biden finished in 4th place in the Iowa caucuses, while Harris pulled out beforehand due to lack of support. It certainly should raise more than a few eyebrows that these two then proceeded to get 80 million votes for president less than a year later.

Very similar experience. And I get wrapped around the axel trying to get back to that word. I sit there defining it and placing it the context of the sentence I am saying.
On the other side since the accident my sensitivity to the feelings of others has been increased and it grows as I go.
"I don't want to criticize a bona fide speech impedimen"
A, that's so nice of you. But the so-called impediment didn't keep him from bloviating in the Senate for decades.
"it is valuable to notice what triggers an intense bout of stammering. It's right when he's about to reveal too much."
Indeed. It's the gaffe impediment.
Anyway, isn't it wonderful that Trump's mean tweets will be replaced by Slow Joe's theater of the absurd?
You have to be this stupid to vote for Democrats.
Biden maybe got 60 million legal votes.
Maybe.
Save me! Save me from tomorrow! I don't want to sail with this ship of fools.
You're right, Mr. Sylvester. The social media attitude is, "Are you going to believe us or your lying eyes?"
I was thinking of poor Nixon [I admit to loathing him while he was in office] the other day and what a BFD Watergate was. The Dems have, with impunity, exceeded Watergate by several magnitudes in their serial scandals.
There is little chance of a Biden Presidency at this point.
It will be interesting to see if they can find two states out of 26 Republican delegations to vote for Biden.
I find that highly unlikely.
Ah, Come on Man, at least let me be Prez for 6 months before you put me back in the basement.
The smirking face of Harris goes perfectly with the boot she will be stomping on our faces, forever.
I can honesty say I have never used the word, simpatico - ever. And some how he used it twice. I think my goal for today will be to work it into a conversation.
Whoever suggested that B.O. would be running the show via K.H. is right. This was the plan all along. But maybe Trump and team can keep the election in litigation until all the fraud is uncovered and the result overturned. We can only hope. Heads will explode and so will the country but we can't just let them get away with this.
Biden will be gone by Easter. The "stutter" was just a verbal tick while he tried to and failed to cover up the reality that he's only be a temporary president until Harris can assume the office.
Just his most extensive voter fraud organization.
there are rare moments when biden is telling the truth.
"imperiously smiling".
I now get the concept of "punchable".
And I get wrapped around the axel trying to get back to that word. I sit there defining it and placing it the context of the sentence I am saying.
Multiple Sclerosis patients have likened it to reaching for a book that's missing from the library shelves...
(1) Biden is an idiot
(2) Kamala is thinking, "yeah, I'm totally going to be the president".
Didn't sound like a speech impediment to me. He was trying to keep his sentence going while trying to figure out how he wanted to end it. Sort of like what Jimmy Steward did.
During the crunch time of the debates and home stretch, Biden performed as well as he could - and better than most expected. He was for the most part disciplined, limiting digressions and attempts at humor.
I suspect now that he has won he'll let down his guard and become a gaffe machine again.
Did you notice that after he said the quiet part out loud, Harris started skating her head? Like, "You weren't supposed to say that, dummy!" Either that or, "I won't be the one resigning, old man."
Shaking
Seems like Ann Althouse has perfected the art of throwing red meat without getting splattered.
So he has the same deal with Kamala that he had with Obama. POTUS, Vice POTUS, either way if the confused white guy finds himself at loggerheads with the black leader, he will develop a disease and resign. Joe may be confused about many things, but he knows the score: he's always been the odd man out.
iMr. Majestyk observes: Did you notice that after he said the quiet part out loud, Harris started skating her head? Like, "You weren't supposed to say that, dummy!"
Yes, she's thinking, "We can't take you anywhere, can we, Joe?".
I expected this to be from the Babylon Bee. The fact that it’s not is even more disturbing.
Biden's 'issues' go beyond dementia.
He is entering Max Headroom territory.

America has a whore for President elect... and she has a whore for vice-President elect too
I was thinking last night and wondering what happens if, in the unlikely event Joe gets elected and certified by Congress in January, he becomes completely incompetent or even, God Forbid, dead before inauguration. Incompetent to the point where he can't even appear for the inauguration. Yeah, they could CGI him in but assume it is an honest process. (Yeah, I know. That requires a Hell of an assumption)
If it happens after inauguration, it is straightforward, Harris becomes prez.
Between election and certification Congress would choose between the three highest candidates which would be Trump and probably nobody.
But if it happens between certification when Joe is officially president elect and when Joe is president.
Does it devolve on the vice-president elect automatically?
Does Congress get a do-over, choosing between the 3 candidates with highest electors which will be trump and probably nobody?
Does something else happen?
Anyone have any knowledge about this scenario?
John Henry
How come in a disagreement over a moral issue it is Biden who will resign and not Kamala??
Looks like an "under the table" deal has been made.

Good news on this front yesterday:
https://medicalxpress.com/news/2020-12-drug-reverses-age-related-cognitive-decline.html
The list of diseases and range of cognitive impairment this therapy appears to REVERSE, not ameliorate or help endure, actually reverse is amazing. And yes I think MS was in that list too. This is one of those medical miracles we keep hearing might come, and I’m excited about it because I have loved ones that need it stat.
Hey Inga, check out my link and I value your opinion on this subject. I followed your fact-check link. I think you’ll enjoy this one.
jim,
Can you tell me what part of the FUCKING VIDEO is red meat?
Do you mean the truth runs against your political interests?
MJB Wolf:
I know something about this drug. It will never be a marketed pharmaceutical, requiring 50% DMSO and high concentrations of PEG 4000 to be soluble--both of these are pretty toxic at these doses, so you couldn't give it to people (mice are another thing). It targets the Integrated Stress Response, a complex phenomenon where the body senses a low supply of amino acids and acts to address this. The ISR is a highly interconnected series of pathways and not a single target, so the likelihood is that there will be tremendous unexplored side effects. Think of nuking O'Hare airport to try to affect air traffic in Des Moines.
Can we ever STOP with stupid crap about Biden's speech impediment! Fucking christ. He's 78 y/o and he may be fraudulently elected President. If he didn't want people criticizing his speech, why did he run for President?
We don't need a victim as President.
I don't think Slow Joe was saying if there was a moral disagreement with the Ho that HE would resign. I think he was relating what he told Barry when he was VP, i.e., he (Slow Joe) would resign if he and Barry reached a moral impasse, and implying there was an agreement that the Ho would resign if she reached such a moral impasse with him. I have a problem with such an agreement: What evidence is there that that either Slow Joe or the Ho have any morals or principles?

It isn't necessarily caring. Just sensitivity.
It is tiring actually. Like seeing people disemboweled. Most of the time it isn't good to know what someone is really feeling. Your brain also spends a lot of time thinking like someone else. I think a lot of people that turn to drugs feel this way to escape it.
But I have a, probably self created, phobia about mind altering substances. The way the brain works all of these decision making systems are self created.
It actually makes the path from empathy to sympathy to simpatico a lot longer. Without medication or ignorance, anger builds up.
Ann has put me in time out for my lapses. Not all bans are announced. I am working on it.

What significant "moral" disagreement would two statists have with each other? "You're too statist!" "No, you're not statist enough!" "You want to steal ALL their money and ALL their guns!" "That's right--you got a problem with that?" Weird.
Parsed correctly, Biden is saying that Harris would resign in the case of a disagreement. If that is what Biden meant, Biden is a fucking fool of the highest order- the progressive Democrats will get rid of him the first moment he tries to resist them. I promise you this- Hunter's laptop is in the hands of Biden's enemies in the Democratic Party, too- not just the Republican ones.
I don't think Slow Joe was saying if there was a moral disagreement ... HE would resign. I think he was relating what he told Barry when he was VP, i.e., he (Slow Joe) would resign if he and Barry reached a moral impasse
That's how it came across to me. But, I doubt that he had that conversation with Obama. VPs don't serve at the pleasure of POTUS. It's an independent office and there is no legal obligation that they toe the line. They do so in order to not be marginalized or kicked off the reelection ticket.
I think he was trying to be amusing. Something he shouldn't do as he often mangles the point he's trying to make.
Biden was elected on the up and up. So what if his check engine light is on. Aren't we all waiting for Kamala. Love that smile.
Does it devolve on the vice-president elect automatically?
See the 20th Amendment. Short answer to the question is, "Yes, the VP elect assumes the presidency."
If Biden died before the December certification date, the Democrat electoral slate can just vote for Harris, or any other Democrat for that matter as the state laws allow. I would have to check the various states laws regarding faithless electors, but both of the two major parties have internal regulations stipulating that the electors vote for the VP in the case of the death of the presumed president elect prior to the December vote of the College.
"PA: 600k+ illegal votes
GA: 120-330k illegal votes
MI: 400k illegal votes
WI: 200k illegal votes
NV: 40-110k illegal votes
AZ: 400k illegal votes"
"And none of *these* tallies are dependent on the @dominionvoting issues. These are just the ballots that should be removed based on the data we have publicly available."
* These indisputable facts are disputed.
Every sentence Joe utters ought to begin with: "Like I told Barack..."
No charge.
Achilles: I hope things improve for you. You are honest in ways and to a degree that most people aren’t; maybe because they can’t afford to be. So please, in working in your character, don’t take niceness too far. Cheers.
What concerns me is that Biden apparently thinks that he and Harris are in agreement on things now. Either he is lying or he has no idea what she has publicly stated on various issues.
If the POTUS has a position that so fundamentally outrages the VPs moral sense, why the heck would the VP have to fake an illness to resign.
Just flippin' DO IT!
It has been done before.
The use of illness is unnecessary unless it is a reference to Joe.
Gilbert Pinfold, I once suffered a brief reaction to exposure to DMSO fumes when working in the lab and forgot to turn to hood fan on. It's some bad s**t.
John Henry, I think as long as he's alive, he becomes president at noon on Jan 20 by operation of law. There is an argument that the oath is required to exercise certain authority, but in a pinch, that argument would presumably be ignored. Alternatively, they could announce that because of the virus, there will be no inauguration, and he will take the oath privately before some Delaware judge. If they're really thinking ahead, they'd videotape him taking the oath now, in case he's too far gone to do so in the actual inauguration day.
I doubt that Harris has any say over what happens. She has little power base of her own, and many of the people running Biden would be threatened if she took over, so they will fight her off as long as they can.
Roughcoat asks genuinely, not rhetorically, But ... what can we do? This is genuine, not a rhetorical, question. All commenters hear are invited to answer.
This is the important question of the day. Hey, I'm an old woman and there's only so much time I have left, so I'm willing to spend it in whatever way would help. If Biden gets the win, we must resist, physically, economically and politically, any measures that are unconstitutional. If Trump should win, we need to prepare to defend ourselves against the leftist onslaught.

I am finally listening to my wife and praying. Not sure what I am praying to.
Asking a God to do what I say or I wont believe in them is stupid on many levels. Almost as stupid as assigning them a gender. I am mostly trying to develop an ability to trust. I have never really had that.
Realistically we tell our representatives how we feel.
We also need to explain to people what happens when probable paths are followed.
Everyone needs to understand the consequences of a low trust society run by democrats.
If the worst happens then be prepared for a low trust society. Afghanistan and Venezuela fell apart very quickly. It always happens very quickly. The difference in the United States is the people are armed and educated. Memories of when times are better will be fresh and people will be ready to act.
It will not be a long term thing.
I'd suggest to Joe that he watch what Kamala puts in his oatmeal. She's got a lot of drive, a lot of meanness, and not many scruples.
The poor fool. He thinks that his story about how he would have resigned if he disagreed fundamentally with Obama implies that Harris would resign if she disagreed with him. She knows and we know who it is who would be forced to leave office.
Oh, yes, I do pray. The LORD is in control of events and I think we believers have a pretty good idea of how this all shakes out. But in the meantime, things will get ugly and our faith will keep us strong.

Appreciate the sentiment. To an extent I agree.
But we can't make the same mistakes they are making and expect different results.
Condescension is probably the most important thing to deal with now. Humiliation is a good teacher. But it causes wounds that don't heal properly.
I have noticed the times I have the most unconscious reactions are when people condescend to me. I shouldn't expect Howard or Inga or any of the rest to react any better.

Words in a book.
Not being mean. It is a good book. Most powerful positive force in history.
I need something not from this world. I believe the Trump presidency and a few other historical events such massive deviations from expected paths and are possible evidence of this. My wife and I have this discussion every day.
As someone else noted, the VP doesn't work for the president. The VP is not even in the same branch of government. The VP is legislative-Senate, the president executive. The VP can, at their discretion, take direction from the president. They do not and should not take orders from the president.
If the VP had a moral disagreement, or even a serious policy disagreement, s/he would be failing their oath of office to resign. They should exercise their office as president of the Senate, call the Senate into session and take legislative action to stop the president.
How they do that, sense of the senate resolution, law something else would depend on the circumstances. And if they agree with the Senate President (Pence or Harris)

It is an interesting exercise to try to deduce the goals of a being of this nature by the results as if this was an experiment.

Um, that would be God.
OK. So the President is the CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, commanding a POWERFUL MILITARY establishment and a YUGE BUREAUCRACY. Many of , many of which agencies include cadres of armed officers empowered to fine and imprison citizens who violate regulations of the agency's own devising.
The Vice President gets to call potty breaks at the Senate.
The President-Elect now announces that if he has a MORAL DISAGREEMENT with the Vice President, he will resign in deference to her.
What I wanna know is: izzat because
..HIS is the morally inferior position, which he now acknowledges, or
..HERS is the morally inferior position?
And people think Trump talks funny. Are we really going to have to listen to this for four years?
Mike of Snoqualme said, "Biden will be gone by Easter."
Totally agree with Althouse. Stutter or not, Biden's comment was a Kinsley Gaffe. Except in his little weak mind, it is the Vice President who must resign.
And, speaking of Easter, it may a Julius-Caesar-type-Ides-of-March surprise awaiting Biden in the form of the 25th Amendment. Et tu, Kamala?

So if the president disagrees with the vice president, the president resigns?
I get that it's a "joke," but it's just too weird.
The correct interpretation was brought forth above by those more quick-witted than I. He was referring [presumably] to a conversation with B.O. when Biden was VP. But the way he actually said it and the way K.H. gleefully responded, we know it was more than just a slip of the tongue.
“Like I told Barack”
We are now going to hear about something Joe is supposed to have told Barack when Joe was VP and Barack was POTUS,
“I will develop some disease and say I have to resign.”
Meaning, if Kamala finds herself in the situation of fundamental disagreement with Joe, she will have to develop some disease and say she has to resign.
C'ome man. We all know that as we get older the filters get weakened. That is what is on his mind.
I doubt that Harris has any say over what happens. She has little power base of her own, and many of the people running Biden would be threatened if she took over, so they will fight her off as long as they can.
I agree with this but do not know who is running Biden. Harris had money but blew it. She is the AA hire. Zuckerberg, with his $400 million donation to the cause, is involved, no doubt. The BLM supporters are probably the best list we will have of the money people. Hedge fund people and inherited money like the Walton daughter.
Spoke like a normal person through the entire segment. Would seriously like to know what kind of medication Jo takes. Plenty of vids where he can barely get through a practiced q&a.
And, agree with those that suspect Jo has little idea what Kamala really thinks. He has been protected and remains ignorant of many things, has little idea of election fraud, real or imagined.
" I promise you this- Hunter's laptop is in the hands of Biden's enemies in the Democratic Party, too- not just the Republican ones."
I wonder if Willie Brown has an old pair of blue slacks that never got laundered.
mockturtle:
Who's talking about turning back the clock? Not me.
"Like I told Barack, if I reach something where there's a fundamental disagreement we have based on a moral principle, I'll develop some disease and say I have to resign."
I guess developing a conscience is out of the question, then?
Trump says something humorous and people take him seriously. Biden says something serious, and people think it's a joke.
Who's talking about turning back the clock? Not me.
Oh, I know, roughcoat. I was just explaining my dislike for euphemistic adjectives for 'old', preferring to be called old [not sure I'm ready for 'elderly'] rather than 'senior', 'golden-ager', mature'--that kind of thing. ;-)
mockturtle, you May be an Old Soup... But, you're STILL a Delicious Soup!
Was Biden referring to potential moral principled difference with Barack or Kamala?
methinks Barack
I am old - my pronoun is that geezer
Why, thank you, gilbar! Vichyssoise perhaps?
One trembles to think what Joe or Kamala’s moral principles might be.
Is it really a "bait & switch" if everyone knows the switch coming? This reminds me of Obama's position against gay marriage. Only the absolute dumbest people believed his official position.
Prefer bouillabaisse over Vichyssoise, but ... either/or.

I guess telling the truth was also out of the question.
What would be wrong with Joe saying "I can't support the President on this issue, so I'm resigning." ?
Prefer bouillabaisse over Vichyssoise, but ... either/or.
I do, too, roughcoat. But somehow being full of clams, mussels, shrimp and fish sounded a bit, well, meaty. When we lived in Seattle I made bouillabaisse quite often as we had access to fresh seafood. That's the only thing I miss about Seattle.
He is such a dolt, and, at this point, a mentally enfeebled one.
If Joe Biden, as president, has a difference of opinion with his inferior, the vice president, on policy or something else related to execution of his office, then isn't it incumbent upon her to resign? Regardless of the moral or ethical or non-existent principle.
"One trembles to think what Joe or Kamala’s moral principles might be."
Does anybody want to offer up a possible moral dilemma for either one of them? I really can't think of something that they wouldn't do for power and money. They both have already done the worst ones I can imagine, short of murder, and if they could get away with it, well.....

Mock turtle soup
"Why, thank you, gilbar! Vichyssoise perhaps?
you'll always be a soup to me!"
Or as Pepe LePew said, "You are ze corned beef to me, and I am ze cabbage to you!"
Well, of course, gilbar. From whence cometh my screen name [via Lewis Carroll]. But I confess to never having tasted it. I like the 'brains' part but it doesn't sound terribly appetizing to me.

Well, what if one of their kids was taking millions from communist Chinese agents?
Or maybe one of them had an affair with a married person for months and months?
Or maybe one of them had finger-raped an aide, or repeatedly exposed himself to staff members?
Or repeatedly lied about their qualifications and awards, in front of witnesses, and on video?
Not that any of these could ever happen, of course...
Bob Loblaw,
This reminds me of Obama's position against gay marriage. Only the absolute dumbest people believed his official position.
Well, of course. Everyone with his head literally not buried in sand knew that Obama was saying "marriage is between a man and a woman" only so long as was necessary for the polls to tip far enough in the direction of his actual position. But that does not mean that those of us who were in on the joke he was playing on the poor rubes who took him seriously are entitled to forget his old "position" as soon as he dropped it. Obama was formally against gay marriage until well after he was elected. Hillary was as well. The first President who was in favor of gay marriage at the time he was elected was officially . . . Trump.
His admit that he and his party set up an fabulous vote fraud system -
telling huh?
He can ride a bike.
Joe Smith... Yes, BIDEN IS MAX HEADROOM!
I've had the same thought independently but hadn't seen anyone else make the connection yet.
Prefer bouillabaisse over Vichyssoise, but ... either/or.
Reminds me of a time I was in Germany, not entirely by my choice, and our work group went out for supper. Bouillabaisse was the only thing on the menu I recognized: Oh, that French soup I like.
Well, no, the French soup I liked was Vichyssoise.
Not a pleasant surprise! (Especially as I hate seafood).

Anyone have any knowledge about this scenario?

When it happens determine what happens. If Joe dies before states send their votes to Congress, everything's up for grabs. The DNC will have to dictate who the electors should vote for- and hope the states go along... And the electors.
If he dies after the votes are sent to Congress- and he has more votes than Trump- the election goes to the House- for President. Kamala is elected VP. Unless there are faithless electors- Trump is elected POTUS because there'll be no other choice. Which is why I've said each party should ensure at least 1.
If he dies after the votes are counted in joint session- on inauguration day Kamala is first sworn is as vice-president, then is sworn in as President. She cannot be directly inaugurated as POTUS because she wasn't elected to that position. To take over as POTUS, she first has to be VP. Mere formality, but it should be followed.
Of course, none of this has happened before, and that's by reading the actual words in the Constitution. But others have written pretty much the same- except for the part about ensuring at least one faithless elector.
Gilbert Pinfold,
There's got to be other benefits to nuking O'Hare, though.
Gilbert Pinfold,
Please excuse me for reading your name as 'Gifford Pinchot', the Progressive PA Governor who left us with our restrictive booze situation in PA.
As for what can we do, I just found a source for 192 round crates of .303 British, made in India in the 70s, on charger clips and in bandoliers to add to the bunker. Cripes, I've seen the charger clips for sale at $3 each, and they hold 5 rounds. I guess the extra 2 rounds are added loose. We've four local family members, and curiously, have 4 SMLE's, plus a Canadian Ross. Added bonus, if the Biden absurd firearms / magazine tax ever passes the SMLE has a 10 round mag (5 for the Ross). Besides, the tax won't affect me after my last boating accident on the Susquehanna River by TMI, where all my 20 and 30 round detachable magazines went to the bottom, along with several firearms that could utilize those magazines. Quite the tragedy.....
Multiple Sclerosis patients have likened it to reaching for a book that's missing from the library shelves...
I was diagnosed as having Dysnomia years ago. For me it's proper nouns that I can't pull up. I could be at a party with my sister where someone she doesn't know but I do and comes up to us and when I try to introduce my sister, my brain comes up blank. At that very moment I could tell them about decades and decades of my sister's life with tremendous detail, and yet can't even picture her name.
Let me be the first: Joe Biden did not commit suicide. (Save for a later date.)
Well if what Joe Biden said out loud comes to fruitition we'll see the Democratic Party collapse in the 2022 election.
