Whiskeybum, if Howard was awake he could tell you that Mr Trammell was a cuck and brought it on his own head, and was killed by better people than himself.
Agree with Dave Begley and MayBee. You look fantastic. Running is so good for your body and mental health. I did several Warrior Dashes - they are pretty fun, but mostly when I run I compete with myself, if that makes sense. I like to push myself. Well done to you.

Yah, looking good--but as noted, too dim. Strut your stuff, girl! (I thought you were gazing pensively out over the lake until somebody mentioned the gams.)
I had to look up Mike Adams. Was he a friend?
Reminds me of an anecdote about one of the 19th C Berlin wits, a banker IIRC, who was asked when he arrived at work one morning if he had heard who died the night before?
I would never sign up for a race and go to a starting point at a starting time for the purpose of competing.
I am motivated by the sunrise time and the experience of seeing the sunrise. I like the individual ritual and the spiritual and aesthetic feeling of it. It has many reinforcing aspects to me.
The only way I would expand on it, maybe, would be to add some length to it... or do it twice a day, with a sunset version. I tend to think I’d be bad running at 8:30 in the evening!

The Second Coming By William Butler Yeats Turning and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity.
Surely some revelation is at hand; Surely the Second Coming is at hand. The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert A shape with lion body and the head of a man, A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun, Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds. The darkness drops again; but now I know That twenty centuries of stony sleep Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle, And what rough beast, its hour come round at last, Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

All Lives won’t matter until ̶B̶l̶a̶c̶k̶ ̶L̶i̶v̶e̶s̶ Bernell Trammell’s (black Trump supporter shot and killed in Milwaukee yesterday) life matters!
Any SJW's taking up that meme this morning? I didn't think so.
So much for progressive platitudes.

You look great, Althouse!
You may not approve of men in shorts. But I certainly approve of women in shorts.
Nice pins, Prof.
Agree with MayBee. You should do that Badger run in the Fall. It starts at the State Capitol and ends at Camp Randall.
Wonderful!
"You should do that Badger run in the Fall..."
No, that's not me at all. I don't do competition. I'm an aesthete not an athlete.
You were first in your class in law school. You do competition.
And you don't run to win, but to finish.

Looking very fit, Ms. Althouse! You should live to 110.

The jogger blogger!
Maybe I missed the commentary on this? Mike Adams is dead?
Justice.

You are certainly looking fit, Althouse, and setting a good example for the rest of us.

So the models were off by roughly 3.5-4X.
And still Ken B will never admit his mistakes.
Nice photo, well composed.

The Second Coming
By William Butler Yeats
Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?
