Painful.

Your town. What are you going to do, Prof. A?

I hope some facial recognition software is used on those idiots. I wonder what the average IQ of the crowd was?

Seems like the "protestors" are really getting out of hand now.

Painful when it comes closer to you...isn't it? Perhaps they can paint some more interesting and artistic signs on the plywood that the residential areas are going to need on their windows.

Yeah. Pretty artistic signs with all the right groveling words. That'll do it.

Actually, Althouse and Meade should try to stay safe. A trip out of town may be a good idea. Your house is just your house. Your lives are more important.

Still think these thugs are from out of town, Althouse? You and your fellow Madisonians raised them with terrible parenting skills. Deal with it.

C'mon. Kids just need something to do.

They were just having fun when the Bugaloo Bois took over.

Ask Inga.

Obviously we’re not talking about physical pain.

So, we’re into Dolorimetry between the ears.

I don’t think the normal 1 to 10 scale covers that sorta thing.

Anywho, if there is a 1-10 for this sorta pain, I’m guessing that the drowning of this statue (when added to the other libs gone wild stuff) has Meadehouse at an eight.

Terrible suffering. Such that a move may be the only solution. Still Meadehouse leaves a little room re psych pain cause some folks in the world are probably suffering a bit more. Meadehouse is into sympathy.

Property Assessments do not Reflect COVID-19 Impact

Notices from the City Assessor’s office are landing in the mailboxes of every Madison property owner this week. Commercial property values rose an average of 8.6 percent and residential values rose an average of 5.5 percent. The values do not reflect the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. By State law, assessments must be based on the market value of a property as of January 1, 2020. Any economic fallout from the pandemic won’t be reflected in property assessments until next year."

Covid, but not a word on the riots.

Check your white privilege. Now you know how Bubba Wallace felt when someone told him about that noose in his garage.

Good thing they didn’t put the statues in a choke hold, that would’ve been tragic.

"In a strongly worded statement, Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway condemned the violence and destruction of property last night on the Capitol Square."

So everything's all right, then.

That want painful at all. It’s a very misleading headline.

The Dane County Sheriff and State Patrol surely could have stopped that mob. They have the tools.

And they let you post. No issue, carry on

Choke holds have killed as many statues as they have high-profile cases of criminals in America.

Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway: "People attacked a State Senator who championed workers’ rights in 2011,…"

Shorter Satya: 'You attacked the wrong person!'. Michael Moore must be so proud.

If there's one thing Inga doesn't like, its statues of Norwegian immigrants who fought against the Confederacy and fought against slavers.

That statue had it coming.

Don't exaggerate how dangerous it is. If you don't go out when Antifa is around, you'll be safe.

Honestly, where the fuck are the cops? The Mayor? The governor?

It will be interesting to see how the next elections go in Seattle and Madison.

Fail to recognize that this mob would kill you only for being you, and suffer the consequences of your delusion that they are anything other than destroyers of life.

What did you think was going to happen?

These people are animals.

Democrats should just move to afghanistan and join the taliban.

Make it official and save us the trouble.

I recalled some history of violent demonstrations in Madison back in the 60's. Anti-war protests and demands for black studies. A university building was actually blown up and a graduate student was killed. Not that's it's any consolation about what is happening today. But maybe there is some hope for recovery.

My sense is that back in the 60's people and the demonstrations were more focused and informed about the specific issues and demands. Today you'd have a harder time getting anyone to explain exactly why those statues were torn down. You'd put yourself in danger just by asking. It looks like more of a mob action.

What's sad from my vantage point, besides the barbarian aspect of destroying monuments to virtue, is that you've been there for so long and your town has been taken from you. I doubt there is anything you can do about it.

Greg the class traitor said...

Why is this painful? You've been voting for this for years. Every time you voted for a Democrat who tries to "understand the mostly peaceful protesters" rather than arrest all the violent thugs, you've been voting for more and more destruction.

You didn't think it would go this far? Why the hell not?

I'd say that is indicative of not thinking at all

Sometimes that red pill can get stuck in the throat but scenes like this are going to help a lot more people get it down.

Hi, professor.

You seemed a lot more ok with the Mob when they were coming for Memories Pizza.

You even encouraged Christians to make themselves targets.

We noticed.

If by interesting you mean depressing, I agree.

Why do you say that? We know exactly how they'll go.
