A photoshopped "Nessie" would do these sunrise photos a world of good. Or maybe some Madison street photography would be a good break to the landscape shots.
I was awake at about 2 a.m. this morning and the moonlight filled my bedroom. It occurred to me that somebody should take a picture. (Not me, of course!)
This has been a glorious spring in our region of the Midwest. The cool, dry weather has dealt a harsh blow to the mosquito's plan for world domination. Yard work has been a pleasure. The birds are abundant and active. The water in the trout streams is clear and hiking has been a joy.

Beautiful. And now a sunny morning. May is fine. (I'm conveniently forgetting yesterday's dreadful weather).

I love all the red in this picture. I look forward every day for your sun rises.

Really think Ann should publish a book of these photos. Title: A Study in Sunrises, Madison, Wisconsin.
I love this.
And the net proceeds could fund the Ann Althouse Chair of Constitutional law at the University of Wisconsin.
