Does anyone ever walk all the way across the lake? It's hard to tell from the pictures how wide it is, but I'd guess a few miles.
Skates would be faster, I bet.
Or if you're rhhardin, on a bike with studded tires. (When I was big into cycling in the 80's, I remember reading about a guy who studded his tires by driving sheet metal screws or similar fasteners into them from the inside.)

The path to Enlightenment is between two trees.
But you also have to walk across a frozen lake, so there's that.
Is the lake completely frozen?
Two really colorful photos.
We never get to see the sun this way.
Too many trees

There are some open water areas near the shore, but you're not seeing them in this picture.
It's softening up but it's still a frozen surface.
It went up to almost 50 yesterday and will get near 60 today, but it takes a while for that ice to open up.
