Impeachment now looks like the greatest act of political suicide in our nation's history. And that letter by Trump to Pelosi is not his last word. He's just getting started. He thinks it's a damn fight. And he's going to extract every ounce of pain that he possibly can. It will be a joy to watch.

I read the entire letter. Trump forgot to say to Pelosi, "Be Best." (I still like that phrase.)
Historic, schmitoric. He’s simply outfacing the Democrats. If he’s doing that at this stage of the game, then they’ve lost far more than they’re equipped to realize. I bet Trump is gaining thousands of Black and Hispanic votes every day this drags on. In this, at least, the feminists are right. It isn’t a level playing field. Nature never intended it to be.

Well Fat Jer and Sleazy Schiff have had their say; and now Trump has his say. I've read the letter--sort of a rock em sock em approach. I don't doubt that Trump's lawyers put a polish on it but it conveys the real tone of Donny Two Scoops. He's dealt with organized union labor thugs and dealing with Pelosi is a walk in the park for him in comparison.

If the House Dems had any sense at all, they'd abandon the impeachment thing before the vote tomorrow. But they can't help digging themselves deeper into a hole. This, folks, is what female leadership gets you.

Seriously, without Trump's tweet about Nancy Dentures, and this letter, this is a real drag. The action now is the IG report fallout. Reading thisinto the record would liven it up. Some yelling, a shoe flying would be good. Congress is so staid, with all the stuffiness hiding how far gone they are.

Trump certainly had input on the writing of the letter: most likely he articulated the message it was meant to convey and approved the final draft for publication, in the same way that Eisenhower articulated the strategy for fighting and defeating the Wehrmacht in the West but had his lieutenants write it all up and work through the details of its implementation. Familiarize yourself with the concept of "Auftragstaktik." It how good leaders lead.

Trump has said Hillary's people told him this. After seeing what Hillary's people got going against Trump, is there any doubt she was doing the same thing about Obama?

I just wanted to comment on what Lucid-Ideas said about the Seattle WTO riots of 1999.
The ensuing riots, organized by Jose Bove (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jos%C3%A9_Bov%C3%A9), is perhaps a clear example of foreign intervention on US soil to further the interests of a French political party, the Anarchist Liberale (yes, there are still Anarchists breathing in the world).
Bove made a film about how he organized protesters to choke the streets of Seattle and flumux the local security and the WTO agenda.
