"You dare to invoke the Founding Fathers in pursuit of this election-nullification scheme — yet your spiteful actions display unfettered contempt for America's founding..."

"... and your egregious conduct threatens to destroy that which our Founders pledged their very lives to build. Even worse than offending the Founding Fathers, you are offending Americans of faith by continually saying 'I pray for the President,' when you know this statement is not true, unless it is meant in a negative sense. It is a terrible thing you are doing, but you will have to live with it, not I!"

Writes President Trump in a 6-page letter to Nancy Pelosi.

ADDED: He uses the phrase "Trump Derangement Syndrome" in his letter:
Your chosen candidate lost the election in 2016... and you and your party have never recovered from this defeat. You have developed a full-fledged case of what many in the media call Trump Derangement Syndrome and sadly, you will never get over it.... So you have spent three straight years attempting to overturn the will of the American people and nullify their votes. You view democracy as your enemy!
AND:
Your Speakership and your party are held hostage by your most deranged and radical representatives of the far left. Each one of you members lives in fear of a socialist primary challenger — this is what is driving impeachment. Look at Congressman Nadler's challenger. Look at yourself and others. Do not take our country down with your party.

In 1999, there was an event called the WTO protests in Seattle that some of you may recall. That was a special event and I was still a teenager recently enlisted, but even that young I remember thinking to myself watching the footage, these are some diehard wackos. How prescient.

You see, those protests were a bellweather and created a lot of the modern anarchist, openly-communist, anti-cop, anti-fa folks you're seeing today. Either still smashing or their kids (should be between 16-20yo now) are. Getting curb-stomped while protesting an entity most Americans didn't even know existed was pretty useless, I'm sure many of them realized. A lot of them got organized afterwards. A lot of them moved. A lot of them ran for your city council, or alderman, or county council, or national office. Many failed, but some did not.

Those people are the driving force as we speak to the campaign of terror being held to old guard democrats across the country. They've just been waiting. I always knew this wasn't entirely about Trump, this was about placating nutjobs chomping at the bit to unseat long-time incumbents in NY and CA and MN.

Or even that he is not an American citizen by/at birth.

Can someone point me some more info on this?

What I do remember is people asking/claiming that he was not born in the US.

Many, myself included think "natural born" means born in "the United States" and a constitutional citizen. A statutory citizen born outside of the US eg Kenya, Canada or Panama would not be "natural born"

Others, including our hostess think that "citizen at birth" like Cruz, McCain and Obama (had he been born in Kenya) are synonymous.

Do not the nightly guards placed on the Palatine Hill—do not the watches posted throughout the city—does not the alarm of the people, and the union of all good men—does not the precaution taken of assembling the senate in this most defensible place—do not the looks and countenances of this venerable body here present, have any effect upon you? Do you not feel that your plans are detected? Do you not see that your conspiracy is already arrested and rendered powerless by the knowledge which every one here possesses of it? What is there that you did last night, what the night before— where is it that you were—who was there that you summoned to meet you—what design was there which was adopted by you, with which you think that any one of us is unacquainted?

I also hope that the Dems are completely humiliated and destroyed this next election.

There's a line I've always liked from the first Rocky movie. During the final match, the Champ's coach shouts at the Champ about Rocky: "He doesn't know it's a damn show! He thinks it's a damn fight!" The Dems thought they could get away with all their absurd showboating. For some reason they haven't learned, after all this time, that Trump fights back hard, and almost always wins. What did they think was going to happen? What was their strategy? Impeachment now looks like the greatest act of political suicide in our nation's history. And that letter by Trump to Pelosi is not his last word. He's just getting started. He thinks it's a damn fight. And he's going to extract every ounce of pain that he possibly can. It will be a joy to watch.

Bill Clinton once said "The best way to keep your opponent from badmouthing you is to keep your fist in his mouth.” In case you were wondering what impeachment was for.

"They lost me when they claimed the president paid Russian hookers to pee on the bed President Obama and his wife slept in.”

I was kind of hoping he had actually done that one.

Ken Starr made the point on Tucker tonight that this impeachment charade is similar to the Johnson impeachment in the 1860s and like nothing else in our history. Does Pelosi wants this to be her history as the first female Speaker?

"Does Pelosi wants this to be her history as the first female Speaker?”

Pelosi’s son is dirty on this Ukraine business, and elsewhere. Hillary unleashed this as a woman scorned.

Meanwhile Ford Motor Company is investing 1.5 billion and adding 3K jobs in Detroit. Looks like somebody has a “magic wand”!

I read the entire letter. Trump forgot to say to Pelosi, "Be Best." (I still like that phrase.)

Historic, schmitoric. He’s simply outfacing the Democrats. If he’s doing that at this stage of the game, then they’ve lost far more than they’re equipped to realize. I bet Trump is gaining thousands of Black and Hispanic votes every day this drags on. In this, at least, the feminists are right. It isn’t a level playing field. Nature never intended it to be.

Me too. That would have been so G.

Will any Republicans have Sense of History to read Trump's Letter into record tomorrow?

Is it allowed?

You knew that Trump had switched over to anger at Pelosi when he tweeted that thing about her dentures slipping while she claimed she “prayed for” Trump.

I haven’t read it, but now I can be assured that it’s pretty good.

Well Fat Jer and Sleazy Schiff have had their say; and now Trump has his say. I've read the letter--sort of a rock em sock em approach. I don't doubt that Trump's lawyers put a polish on it but it conveys the real tone of Donny Two Scoops. He's dealt with organized union labor thugs and dealing with Pelosi is a walk in the park for him in comparison.

Oh, ARM, don’t feel bad. We still laugh at yours.

If the House Dems had any sense at all, they'd abandon the impeachment thing before the vote tomorrow. But they can't help digging themselves deeper into a hole. This, folks, is what female leadership gets you.

Such eloquence should be encouraged.

Drago is right about freak shows actually. Read the novel Nightmare Alley from the 1940s, or watch the Todd Browning movie Freaks from the 30s. But people laugh at clown shows ...

Seriously, without Trump's tweet about Nancy Dentures, and this letter, this is a real drag. The action now is the IG report fallout. Reading thisinto the record would liven it up. Some yelling, a shoe flying would be good. Congress is so staid, with all the stuffiness hiding how far gone they are.

Are you not entertained?

Trump certainly had input on the writing of the letter: most likely he articulated the message it was meant to convey and approved the final draft for publication, in the same way that Eisenhower articulated the strategy for fighting and defeating the Wehrmacht in the West but had his lieutenants write it all up and work through the details of its implementation. Familiarize yourself with the concept of "Auftragstaktik." It how good leaders lead.

Trump forgets his Obama Derangement Syndrome that had him blowing money trying to prove Obama was not American. Pretty rich for him now to be pointing at others for doing what he tried to do to the last President.

Trump has said Hillary's people told him this. After seeing what Hillary's people got going against Trump, is there any doubt she was doing the same thing about Obama?

Nasty Pelosi is evil, a fake catholic, and thoroughly corrupt. She learned well from her mob family in Baltimore.

Winners write history.

Look at what is taught in history classes in our schools. It looks nothing like what really happened. Look at the 1619 project.

Pelosi doesn't give 2 shits about history.

Look at her supporters. History started 15 minutes ago for htem.

We wonder who writes Robert Cook's jejune commentary. A very bitter and lonely adolescent, by the look of it.

Nothing further to say about the Epistle of St Trump to the Heathen.

I just wanted to comment on what Lucid-Ideas said about the Seattle WTO riots of 1999.

The ensuing riots, organized by Jose Bove (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jos%C3%A9_Bov%C3%A9), is perhaps a clear example of foreign intervention on US soil to further the interests of a French political party, the Anarchist Liberale (yes, there are still Anarchists breathing in the world).

Bove made a film about how he organized protesters to choke the streets of Seattle and flumux the local security and the WTO agenda.

The French call our armchair, leather elbow patch, tweed jacket Markists BOBO--Born Bourgeois.

I know the Democrats traditionally championed the working class of America; so, why do most Democrats of the current generation are so dressed? BOBO
