It is actually difficult to pick out the most unhinged part of Trump’s “Fox & Friends” rant. The part about his picture not being hung in the U.S. Embassy in Ukrainian? His doubting the testimony about a phone conversation with Gordon Sondland after Sondland said he had no reason to doubt the testimony? The repetition of his false claim that the whistleblower complaint was not accurate? The blandly inarticulated claim that his campaign had been “wiretapped” in 2016? (Trump defenders; tell us where Trump has ever specified this claim. Not your own conspiracy theories, but rather a specification by Trump.)
My personal favorite was this exchange with a clearly astonished/horrified/mystified Steve Doocy:
They have the server from the DNC, Democratic National Committee,” an unhinged Trump yelled. “The FBI went in and they told them, ‘Get out of here! We’re not giving it to you.’ They gave the server to CrowdStrike or whatever it is called, which is a company owned by a very wealthy Ukrainian. And I still want to see that server. You know, the FBI has never gotten that server. That’s a big part of this whole thing. Why did they give it to a Ukrainian company?” (CrowdStrike is not owned by a Ukrainian.)
“Are you sure they did that? Are you sure they gave it to Ukraine?” Doocy asked, causing Trump to reply: “That is what the word is.”
Trump's fireside chat. How weird for those 3, staring at the cameras while all this is going on. Truly surreal. They should have just gone to a Yule log.
Love watching fast talking DJT take over the show from the FOX folks. He would not let the distract him. All it needed was a Marine One warming up as background sound track.
POTUS doing another press interview...live. The last POTUS to do that? But back to the facts. President Trump has connected some dots. We have just been through, 60+? hours of Democrat theater having witnesses connect dots that are only infered from 2cnd and 3rd party never Trumpers interpret what 6 previous conversations meant, not what the actual words conveyed. The charge is President Trump demanded Ukraine President to dig up dirt on Joe Biden, even though Joe Biden has constutionally enumerated protection from investigation because he has filed papers to run for election to the office of President. The words conveyed no such meaning. Nor is an investigation outside to Article II powers. Most transparent President evah!
A parade of witnesses testified under oath that he'd engaged in a corrupt scheme to force a foreign government to attack American democracy for his personal benefit.
The idiocy is mind bending. Accusations that not a single witness made. Each and every witness admitted under cross examination, no laws were violated, no constitutional violations. Every.Single. One
Hard to google a joke. It goes like, a politician advertises a speech, one person shows up. I don't know what to do, pol says to the guy. Well, the guy says, if I go out to feed the animals and only one animal shows up, I feed him. So the pol gives the whole speech. The guy says at the end, well but I wouldn't dump all the food I had on him.
There has never been anyone quite like this in US politics, or politics anywhere really. Some have approached this directness and spontaneity in speaking to the world, but not to this degree. This is not just because of his unique personality but because he is ahead of the curve in realizing the flexibility of modern communication systems.
And by modern I mean things that were available decades ago. Its surprising that this has taken so long.
It seems that Trump will speak anywhere to anyone at any time. The MSM could get endless material straight from the source, should they aquire the imagination to break out of their ritualized schedules and systems. They are very silly, given modern technology.
The people who have come closest are characters like Chavez, who was loquacious but not really approachable. Berlusconi did very well in extemporized situations. Duterte is very, very good unscripted (in English too) and very likely to say something surprising. Most politicians anywhere are rather stuffed shirts who dare not be spontaneous with their people.
I really don’t see a political argument for impeaching Trump. Doing so would mean a Senate trial, where the GOP will indulge every Trump request for airing favorable evidence and testimony, all designed to make the Democrats look bad. It’s all political theater and everyone knows it. The Democrats know there’s zero chance of removing Trump, so they’re using (abusing) their constitutional powers, and spending taxpayer money, to try to influence the 2020 election. So they’ll drag this out for as long as possible in hopes of mortally wounding Trump’s candidacy.
"It seems that Trump will speak anywhere to anyone at any time... Most politicians anywhere are rather stuffed shirts who dare not be spontaneous with their people."
He was recycling old loops that I've heard before in rallies and he was doing it while talking at 3 human beings who need to try to look like journalists. Their passivity and thwarted efforts to break in while he filibustered was not spontaneity. It was some mix of a drive to domineer, a fear of stopping to look at any one thing with anything like a critical eye, and a delight in getting into a groove and running with it. It was not conversational and though it wasn't the stiffest thing in the world, it was stilted and phony in its own special Trumpish way.
He had to be looking at the TV image too, so he could see how awkward it looked. If he's such a capable showman, then why didn't he go back and forth and let them have some of the energy? Were we supposed to be entertained by their ineffectuality? I don't think that was his intent.
Sometimes all it takes to achieve a measure of greatness is to understand when old constraints no longer apply, and simply ignore them. Everyone else will follow, sooner or later, but being first is an advantage.
Many systems and "traditions" are established mainly to manage limits, of span of control, of communications, of transport, of logistics, of general complication. One might assume that one needs a large staff, say, to conduct a national political campaign, full of legions of paid specialists in this or that, with planning by committee with extended lead times for any actions.
It’s not more entertaining when other networks have a panel of appropriately-colored and gendered people who go around taking turns in a loop repeating the same ideas back and forth to each other.
Their interactions and scripted talking points are not spontaneity, but an attempt to hide the filibuster that’s actually taking place.
Hitler and Mussolini - Aircraft They were the first to exploit flying to expand their reach in physical appearances. Trump famously made the most of this in 2016. His opponents failed to exploit, properly, 90 year old technology.
Hitler - Radio - He was a month ahead of Roosevelt in this, February 1933 vs March 1933.
Mussolini was arguably much earlier in using radio for political purposes, back in the 1920's, but he may not have spoken directly, live, on radio until much later. And few Italians had radio back then.
Radio was however vital in Spain. Much of the extreme political mania of the 1930s was probably because the reach of radio had exploded in the first half of the 1930's, and it was extensively exploited by politicians from the first.
The US and Britain were rather behind on their use of this stuff for politics, though the BBC was a pioneer in international propaganda.
Do I have to start thinking about the 2020 election yet? Really? Oh, fine then.
Like many here I suspect I am part of the ultimate audience for the current quasi Impeachment drama. Independent voter. Wisconsinite. So here's a few musings.
1. Unless there really is something more to come, perhaps some 11th hour...er...bombshell? Then this all reeks of desperation on the part of our progressive friends. Impeachment based on doings in the Ukraine will end up nuking the Biden candidacy. They must know this. And who else in the current field of candidates has a better chance to beat Trump?
2. This is a one shot weapon. One that takes a generation to reload. Unless you manage to remove Trump from office in early 2020 there is zero chance they can, politically of course, try again in the presumptive Trump second term. They will have wasted - by shamelessly abusing - a valuable Constitutional safeguard. It would likely embolden Trump to be even more over the top after 2020.
3. Does anyone really imagine that there is not already in place a phase two plan to impeach Pence? I mean, really what's the point otherwise. Many people would be OK with Trump exiting the scene. I feel that way some days. But an intelligence community that launches a decapitation strike on an entire elected government? Oh, non lethal but still a coup. That pushes us close to the brink.
4. And off topic, along the lines a Holmesian dog that didn't bark, I am no longer encountering any Democrat outreach/ads directed towards Hispanic voters. Has the vaunted "focus group" - I s'pect they meet in the secure space when Schiff is not using it - declared this a write off? If so, then the whiff of desperation emanating from all this becomes positively Swalwellian...
Impeachment and removal or even application of tar and 2020 defeat may be ridiculous long shots. But perhaps....the only shot they have. It would explain much.
F&F takes a lot from morning radio "crews" rather than news journalists. They kinda shoot the shit with their viewers over morning coffee. I don't watch F&F, as I find Narciso, Buyawa, Doc Mike, Mike Sylvester and others are usually way ahead with the pertinent facts. The trolls here provide the Pizza Chain commercials.
"How many did he reach with this, that have not heard these loops in his rallies?"
That's not my point at all.
When you speak to a crowd you need to be big on stage and do a presentation. You need a lot of material and he's great at making that stuff flow in a way that feels spontaneous in that environment and is genuinely engaging with the crowd. When you're doing an interview, you should listen to the questions and give the impression of responding (even if you want to control the discourse). He left the 3 interviewers sitting there passively and obviously uncomfortable, because they were not in the position of a rallygoer. He was purporting to give an interview, but he adopted a rally approach to speaking. I don't think he deserves adulation for spontaneity under those circumstances.
Does anyone really imagine that there is not already in place a phase two plan to impeach Pence? I mean, really what's the point otherwise.
Pence is a tame Republican pupy. When the MSM/DNC barks at him, he will either run away and hide (like George Bush) or grovel (like John McCain). They don't need to impeach him.
Here we are, discussing the call and the content of the call this morning...
President Trump, hi-jacking the weekend news cycle. Who saw that coming? Not CNN,etal.
The media is less trusted than Congress. To me, that means, whatever the narrative being spun at the moment, only a fraction of the consumers believe it. "President Trump, asked Ukraine to dig up dirt on Biden"= narrative. Consumers>>> Would an actual sentient being say that out loud? I'll put that as spin, real, but not accurate, taken out of context or paraphrased to make POTUS look bad.
The media has to get some things right. Since before November of 2016, the media has been proven more than not, to be selling narrative at the expense of accuracy.
The fact that Trump repeated tropes or loops or concepts he’s expounded upon elsewhere does not mean this wasn’t spontaneous. He riffs extemporaneously but he seems to think aloud. This is what’s on his mind that he wants the world to hear, from him. The Fox audience is far broader than his rally audience. His unwillingness to let the talking heads in on his energy was, like the aside that they’d let him run on all day, a simple and slightly brutish display of dominance.
He left the 3 interviewers sitting there passively and obviously uncomfortable
That's true, but don't the interviewers have some responsibility for how it went? They're supposed to be professional journalists. I didn't watch the whole thing.
I last watched television news the day the Americans took Baghdad. It’s the perpetuation of the Cronkitean illusion for Boomers, Jerry Springer for the younger generations. Buwaya is right about the crafted obsolescence of the whole thing. Every day it’s like the Yamamoto setting sail for the Marianas.
“If so, then the whiff of desperation emanating from all this becomes positively Swalwellian”
It is tragic that writing as great as this will be lost to history, buried in the massive rubble of Internet commentary. At least I was here to see it today.
BB&H: "The press are unfair to Trump, selling gross bias, half truths and lies because they hate Trump."
Have you seen LLR Chuck's lefty links lately?!
Hilariously over the top lefty lies that have been thoroughly debunked! As if they came direct from Reid Hoffman/Soros/DNC-Central....
......which of course they did!
Unexpectedly!
The desperation and flop sweat on the part of LLR Chuck and his dem allies is palpable. Biden doesn't know where he is and is now directly threatening Lindsay Graham with...something...hmmmmm.
Li'l Tomahawk Lizzie Warren, just last night, actually claimed her son did NOT attend private schools when it has been long established that he did!! I mean, not even LLR Chuck on his best day can cover up and effect deflect from the whopper!!
Lizzie's white lefty women pals shouting down poor black women in Atlanta who want to send their kids to better schools through school choice!! Not. A. Good. Look. Lizzie!!
No different than Samantha Bee and her husband leading the "fight" in New York City to keep the rabble minority children out of their upper West Side pristinely white school.
Unexpectedly!!
And Li'l Pete Buttieieeiessgggggeierereeiegg can't get a black vote to save his life (he even has to lie about the onesy-twosey "support" that he barely has) and use stock photos from Africa to "prove his point"!
LOL
Bernie isn't going anywhere since he is basically a spineless little dwarf who will follow any direction from the DNC Central Primary Soviet Committee that undermines his own campaign, though he might get a 4th house out of all this is panders to The Party again.
This is why the dems/left/LLR-left are reeling from the utter failure of their impeachment hoax and are already teeing up Hoax Collusion 4.0 and 5.0 with the ginned up attacks on Nunes and Giuliani!!
As you can see, LLR Chuck and his dem pals have no where else to go now and that Durham report is looming.........
Nobody knows what Durham and Barr knows!!!....except recently returned Idiot Commenter Inga who, as you know, can read minds......but still gets all the results wrong!!
What glorious glorious lefty/LLR-lefty failure!!
Trump must be some kind of genius. And a stable one at that.
It's not really Trump's job to make the interviewers comfortable or help them appear professional. Being long-winded to burn the time and avoid questions is a very common technique. Obama was famous for that. Pros have to learn how to deal with the dodge and get what they want.
Bob Boyd: "It's not really Trump's job to make the interviewers comfortable or help them appear professional. Being long-winded to burn the time and avoid questions is a very common technique. Obama was famous for that."
But obambi's long-winded, saying nothing, LLR Chuck-deemed "magnificent" comments were always made with the most perfectly creased trousers one has ever seen.
That was enough for LLR Chuck and China-approved China-loving David Brooks.
And lets be honest, obama could have worn sweat pants and the LLR Chuck's of the world, when not attacking women and children, would still be worshipping him.
It seems like only yesterday when LLR Chuck and Inga and the rest of Democrat Klown Kar Krew were telling us how afraid Donald Trump was of Kamala, Fake Hispanic Beto, Li'l Tomahawk, Joe "where am I and who can threaten today?" Biden, Bernie "what's so bad about the Soviet Union?" Spine-less, etc.
When did the focus switch from the News-makers to the reporters? As stated above, the news reporters and talking heads are irrelevant. The only thing that matters is what the POTUS said.
IMO, all these interviews should be done by a computer. Then we'd focus more on what the Pols say and less on what meaningless pundits and leftist reporters think. Nobody elected Jeff Zucker or Andew Lack's media puppets to anything. Yet, we're constantly deluged with their views.
I think Althouse is looking at the interview with "cruel neutrality" and declaring it bad, dull, TV. Which it true. Except the vast number of peeps who turn in to Fox, just want to hear Trump.
Kilmeade is a fan, but he pays too much to the vapor crew
Disagree.
Several times a week I get the distinct pleasure of "overhearing" his radio show.
He's as NeverTrump as the come.
Fan-no. Opportunistic suck-up? Yes. That said, I actually kinda like the guy, though I haven't watched fox news since Megyn Kelly went all #MeToo on Trump.
No one answers the questions and just gives bits of their stump speech broken into 45 second spurts.
What Trump did here is a weird form of honesty. All interviews of major politicians are Make Believe. The politician is there to get their message(s) across.
Some questioners are more confrontational but most are no different than the questioner in an infomercial. That’s why the politician chooses them.
Looks like Trump is just dispensing with the pretend Q&A format of these types of propaganda.
That said, I agree with Althouse that Trump wasn’t effective in this Fake TV Interview. Don’t think the viewers have the attention span or interest to follow along in a Fake Phone Interview. This might have been better in person. Trump could pretend to be addressing his questioners while giving his rally riffs.
There was a rally he did recently where he seemed a bit off as well. Not his usual high energy. I don't know if the battle is getting to him or not, but if it isn't, he would have to be some kind of super human.
Why? This isn’t North Korea yet.
Turn him off.live your life. Don’t read about him. Or glance at the topic and move on.
Fox having gone full Globalist, the careers of all these cheerful suck ups now depends on being half opposed to Trump even when Trump is right. If Roger Ailes got the boot, then these lightweights are walking a tight rope at Fox. Ergo: Trump has to appear to be forcing his way into speaking over them .Then they can say they were trying their best to screw him over but failed. That should keep London happy.
What is it about this whiny wussy that compels you to regularly re-post and publish his hour-long diatribes? I was not aware that you were one to be so impressed by such whiners and unmanly loser types generally. And yet when it comes to Queen Donald, it's like everything that comes out of President Mouth's pie-hole you find eminently bloggable.
Have you now finished shifting your taste in men completely to the side of the spectrum inhabited by the whiners and crybabies? Or are you just so impressed by power, presidential authority, demagoguery and tastelessness in general that you can't help but find every utterance spewing forth from this scumbag's mouth to be a gem of thought and social insight? Please explain. We understand what the evangelicals, manual laborers and social retrogrades find important about this human carbuncle. But with you, we assume you must find something aesthetic or socially redeeming about this baboon-man to glom onto his un-newsworthy intrusions so heartily.
I don’t see how this innovative. Trump used a telephone to call a TV show, and presidents have been on TV since 1929, according to an anonymous source.
After 1932, it became necessary to ridicule Coolidge and forget the rapid recovery of 1921.
Gee, I wonder why. This is about as moronic an observation as someone lamenting the lost limelight of paper airplanes once the Saturn V rocket was launched.
But it's good to know that old-timers like Dr. Doolittle remember the good old days of the 1920s. Must have made the crash, the rise in fascism and the war and millions of dead resulting from it so worth it. Not to mention the cold war and the rise of the Soviets - all made possible by the Republican crash that brought Hitler to power and with him, WWII.
You need a lot of material and he's great at making that stuff flow in a way that feels spontaneous in that environment and is genuinely engaging with the crowd.
Well, of course bigotry, bluster and rank stupidity are engaging to a low-info American crowd used to expecting better in 2019. Like a long-suppressed bout of diarrhea welcomed by the toilet as the sitter releases his inner turmoil. Or the way the three-year old feels better after a tantrum. When people suppress horrifying urges, they feel relieved. Just ask Ted Bundy. (Though everyone else, including his victims, obviously beg to differ).
When you're doing an interview, you should listen to the questions and give the impression of responding (even if you want to control the discourse).
Is it news to you that Trump cannot? Lol.
He left the 3 interviewers sitting there passively and obviously uncomfortable, because they were not in the position of a rallygoer.
True. The FOX Newsers are more like his script-writers and cheerleaders than spectators.
He was purporting to give an interview, but he adopted a rally approach to speaking.
A parade of witnesses testified under oath that he'd engaged in a corrupt scheme to force a foreign government to attack American democracy for his personal benefit.
Joe Biden said FDR was on TV in the 1920s. As a presidential nominee candidate I fear objecting to Biden's assertion could force me to testify before Congress.
The good news is that I would show Congress what real contempt looks like.
Trump doesn't try to come across as more or better than he is, he's not an actor. In fact he's completely confident and comfortable in who he is, flaws and all. That pisses some people off. So he appears unpresidential or egotistical to some people? Who cares? I'm more interested in his policies. With Trump there's no humblebrag, no pretentiousness. Trump's not afraid to express his feelings, to rant which all normal humans do when frustrated. This was a rant. Not his finest moment. All things considered I'll give him a pass.
President Toilet Paper Shoe's Perfect Phone Call said... After 1932, it became necessary to ridicule Coolidge and forget the rapid recovery of 1921.

Ritmo never disappoints. History began yesterday. I would hate to ask him what happened at Pearl Harbor or Normandy.
Well, Blogger Chuck ... @ 11/23/19, 7:35 AM's analysis is rather weak and anti-Trump. Chuck, every President has done what Trump did and has lied to the American audience. What's the big deal? Do you live in a 'dream world' or are you of the belief that politicians should tell the truth. In that case, how will they get elected? The truth does not get you elected. Chuck, your entire analysis is pure make believe garbage. That's because you think your the only person who believes Trump lies. Very self-absorbed and arrogant attitude!
clearly zelensky, had to be prompted, because zylochevsky, was well connected in the eu, and kolomoisky, even though he had been a minor official, has many ious owed to him in the rada, so one has to be circuitous,
He told us more in that clip than Obama would in 2 hours of questions. He doesn't need the usual softball bullshit to coax his replies. He just runs though them. Nobody ever really asks a tough question of politicians in such a situation anyway. Listen without the video, and you get a great flow of the President's positions and perspectives. How would half the time spent asking obvious question improve that? It IS spontaneous, because it's just him talking his mind, not reading prepared remarks or the canned nonspecific answers you usually get from politician. If you have a President willing to tell you exactly what he thinks, anytime to anyone then why would you want to slow him down with interruptions?
This President is never guarded in his speech. That should thrill his enemies, but it actually thrills his fans. This is the style of a confident leader who knows his way in the world, what he thinks of things, and could care less if the chattering class clucks about it, becuase he know these people can do little else but talk. He's got real work to do.
As for the audience of three, far more people saw that than saw anything on any other network at that time. In many cases 3 times as many. The audience was millions and counting.
Stronger than Puerto Rican grown in the jayuja a filtered through a sock?

And engine room coffee makes that taste like weak tea. So strong it doesn't spill when you turn the cup over. (old sea stories and grandkids are the best things in life)
I guess bitter is the wrong word, today being national expresso day, sigh, regular coffee is strong enough on cold days, expresso keeps these synapses running in the way you see here, yes some times grammar is sacrificed, like ee cummings,
I think that would be kinda cool. I'm still voting Trump, but I would not be so panicked by the potential of more MSM Democrat corruption deep state smother - by the likes of Schitt and Hillary.
Spanish coffee is mainly the cheap robust type, which is sort of what Filipino barako is, bitter. But the Spanish go one further by roasting it with sugar, which adds an awful series of tastes, burnt, more bitter, etc. This is apparently done to make the brew taste "strong" when it isn't. Apparently dating from post-Civil War poverty, as coffee is all imported.
So it is still the usual coffee you find in cafes and supermarkets, the people having developed a taste for it. You can in many places of course get "the good stuff", of the American fancy cafe Whole Foods sort.
Both Filipinos and Spanish add lots of sugar, and the Filipinos like the Vietnamese commonly add condensed milk. Or that is the traditional thing.
If you want an analog to Filipino coffee, try the Puerto Rican brand Cafe Bustelo. I used to grab that whenever it turned up.
Oooooh, did he now! Wow, that's almost as embarrassing as when Trump said that windmills cause cancer.
Blogger Birkel said... Ritmo thinks history started 15 minutes ago and that the 1920s started in October 1929.
It certainly didn't end there. Look at all the 1920s policies you fools have been trying to re-enact for the last 25 years. Obviously that won't lead us to another 1929, just to more 2008s, which are really great things. Real Republican rodeos. Great stuff.
Adam Schitt should be shot at dawn, for treason and anti-constitutional lies and treachery.
Sounds like it's been a while since you've seen the inside of a courtroom. Or a jail cell.
Which is a shame, since I imagine you'd make some 300 lb lady in the women's correctional facility for a nice girlfriend. Ha hahaha ;-)
Seriously though. If you're going to make deadly threats against congressional representatives do it in a jurisdiction that takes law and order seriously, like SDNY. Ordinarily I'd tell you to send your threat to the FBI but Trump sez he can't trust them. LOL!!!
I dunno, Ann... I tend to cut Trump slack, given all he, his family and people who serve in his administration have had to endure over the last 3 plus years. I can’t think of another person in the public eye who would be able to endure this crap. I enjoy watching and listening to him as he goes after MSM Democrat operative pukes and Democrat politicians. I say he should punch back twice as hard.
Actually - Schitt should be gutted, be-headed, his body drawn and quartered in the public square. Then his headless body should be tarred & feathered, run over by a bed of spikes and thrown into the Gowanus Canal. while we party with his ugly dead face on a pike.
then after we party with Shcitt's ugly face on a pike, we shove it in a cannon and shoot his head into deep space, where it will float for eternity in a oxygenless void of frozen nothingness.
Some lawless retrograde twit is doing her part to pretend she's a badass revolutionary.
This is the problem with American "conservatives." The concept is an oxymoron. It was progressives who founded this country and did a revolution the right way. While the conservatives were loyal to Mad King George (just like they are to a mad king today) and were gunned down by Washington at Shay's rebellion and the Whiskey rebellion. And then during the Civil War.
So I say that "BleachBit" will make a fine prison bitch someday. She's a closet lesbian who's been auditioning for a part on Orange Is the New Black for quite some time. If she needs any cunnilingus tips perhaps she can get them from Melanoma or whatever that immigrant First Lady's name is.
I don't know anyone named "Schitt," Prison Bitch. Sorry.
If you want to allege that the House Intelligence Committee chair lied about something though, then you can say what that is.
Not that I'd give it any credence. You probably believe conspiracy theories, given how wild and revved up you get with talk of heads on pikes etc.
But pat yourself on the back for at least not being as comfy with the anti-semitic dog whistles and calling that resolute chairman "shifty." That seems to be a thing on your side. Maybe they thought The Merchant of Venice was a true story or something.
I'm wondering how many licks of her lady superiors in the big house will it take until BleachBits calls "uncle" and asks Daddy Trump to pardon her. LOL!
BleachBit-and-Hammers said...Teh corrupt democrat establishment want Quid Pro Joe or Punitive Hillary-warren.
The way that the DNC treats Tulsi Gabbard tells me that Hillary Clinton still holds too much sway with the DNC. You don't want to get in the sway of those hips. That could sink ships.
So says a strangely ignorant man in defense of people who post crap like this:

Double-talk this dizzying hasn't been heard since the last time rapist Don Trump proclaimed himself the Defender of All Women, or whatever.
Oh we know you think no one is white enough to represent California, even Diane Feinstein. (Cough! Cough!)
In any event, he's doing a fine job of exposing your Dear Leader as a double-crossing extortionist who sold out an American he was afraid of losing to for Ukrainian military assistance, in order to please his Russian taskmaster. Which the founders basically said was their dictionary definition of an impeachable offense.
BleachBit-and-Hammers said...Teh corrupt democrat establishment want Quid Pro Joe or Punitive Hillary-warren.
Harris is the real punitive one. She practically promised to go after Trump if elected. I wondered if she'd be smart enough to recuse herself during a Senate trial? She and the rest of the sitting Senator POTUS wannabes. They're all too dumb to get that conflict of interest.
When one resorts to schoolyard taunts, personal attacks and fantasies about the politics of the Founders (we all know how fond progressives are of the U.S. Constitution), one has admitted failure.
Talk about not having a life. Neoneo? Was that the greeting used by Mork from Ork? Nanoo nanoo.
Anyway, those of us living in the current decade, by which we've moved on and left those who get their news and analysis from bloggers to the alternative right-wing basement dwellers, figure that what Andrew Napolitano, Alexander Hamilton and James Madison said counts for considerably more.
But Dr Doolittle is too good to read them. He's busy telling everyone what a historian he is of 1920s economic miracles while being the good conservative that he is and declaring that Madison and Hamilton's warnings about presidents "betraying his trust to foreign powers" must have actually been about something other than the misdeeds that Trump regularly busies himself with.
He left the 3 interviewers sitting there passively and obviously uncomfortable
He did the same to Hillary in each of the debates. He always sucks all the bandwidth out of the room. His message like a drum beat..........none of this "we need to have a national conversation" shit.
When one resorts to schoolyard taunts, personal attacks and fantasies about the politics of the Founders (we all know how fond progressives are of the U.S. Constitution), one has admitted failure.
Sounds like you and Donald Trump must be huge failures then, given how little he has besides "schoolyard taunts, personal attacks" and how much contempt you had for the founders own clear words:
These most deadly adversaries of republican government might naturally have been expected to make their approaches from more than one querter, but chiefly from the desire in foreign powers to gain an improper ascendant in our councils.
Federalist, No. 68.
He might betray his trust to foreign powers.
Madison Debates, July 20.
You never actually read a thing the founders wrote.
But I'm sure you support violent nationalist tax-evading terrorism, just like the ones Washington crushed in Shay's Rebellion and the Whiskey Rebellion.
Conservatives have no place in America. The constitution was a document of the Enlightenment, it rejected monarchy (the conservative "Tory" position!) and was immediately put to effect in crushing the very sorts of rebellions that these confused conservatives would have supported today.
To be a conservative in America must be like suffering an identity disorder.
FullMoon said... Is this a cafe? I have some hilarious conversations between Rit and Inga, as well as Rits take on "women from America".
Lol! Moonjob's getting ready to "unload" his personal stash of masturbation material onto the commenters. Haha.
Imagine how much his life must suck thinking he's hot shit for living in California's Bay area and having to defend Don Trump - a guy who would rather let the state burn than get through his blonde toupee that forests don't get "raked" and that the fires aren't starting in forests in the first place.
I repeat, Moon would rather support a guy who would see his own state burn down than to put away his masturbation material and grow up for a change.
l'll take Thomas Jefferson's prescient views about the "Musselmen" over anything the modern DNC is trumpeting these days.
"The Ambassador [of Tripoli] answered us that it was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise."
― Thomas Jefferson, Letters of Thomas Jefferson
None of the current crop of Dem losers* can even bring themselves to utter the words "radical Islamic terrorism." I always wondered why. It must have something to do with money. ________________ *Gabbbard may be an exception.
What the hell is your point? American Nazis terrorize and kill more Americans than Muslims do. Fact. And they've been doing it since the Confederacy lost and reorganized itself as the KKK.
You either care about the numbers of American lives lost/saved or you don't. Based on your crusade to be a Muslim theologian out to reform or change or abolish their religion or stir up everyone else to do so, it seems that's your larger priority and defending American lives is not.
Thomas Jefferson raped his slaves and wouldn't acknowledge his bastard children with them. Not that he didn't handle the Barbary Wars well, but that was a long time ago and doesn't have much of anything to do with life here unless you want to extend the Afghan War by another 18 years. Or work on making the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia the 51st state, as Trump seems to want to do. But at least he had the good sense to re-write the Christian Bible and see if it could stand up with all the references to Jesus' divinity cut out.
A guy who supports someone who wants to see his state burn down is doing his part to impress the ladies with his feminist creds.
So Moon, these ladies you admire so much and want to be like must be really impressed when you tell them how great you think serial groper Donald Trump is, right? What's their reaction when you tell them that?
Trump: I moved on her, actually. You know, she was down on Palm Beach. I moved on her, and I failed. I’ll admit it.
Trump: I did try and fuck her. She was married.
Trump: No, no, Nancy. No, this was [unintelligible] — and I moved on her very heavily. In fact, I took her out furniture shopping.
I moved on her like a bitch. But I couldn’t get there. And she was married. Then all of a sudden I see her, she’s now got the big phony tits and everything. She’s totally changed her look.
Trump: Whoa! Whoa!
Trump: Look at you, you are a pussy.
Trump: All right, you and I will walk out.
Trump: Maybe it’s a different one.
Trump: Yeah, that’s her. With the gold. I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.
Oh wait, that wasn't FULL MOON. That was just a guy that FULL MOON admires and looks up to and gets his marital and romantic advice from, at least when he isn't burning his state down.
HAHAHA. What a loser. He gets his feminism from Trump. The same Trump who says California should be burned down for not "raking" the forests that the fires aren't starting in. Hilarious!!!
Trump: Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything.
The guy who gives Moon his marital and romantic advice. And philosophies on women, for whatever that's worth.
It's pretty funny stuff. But it makes sense. A guy who masturbates to pseudonymous on-line banter and harmless gossip boosts Trump and tells everyone what a feminist he is. Can't make this stuff up, folks!
“Actually - Schitt should be gutted, be-headed, his body drawn and quartered in the public square. Then his headless body should be tarred & feathered, run over by a bed of spikes and thrown into the Gowanus Canal. while we party with his ugly dead face on a pike.”
Trumpism or psychopathy? Even a psychopath might think twice about saying something like this.
Can someone tell me when Gloria Steinem died and got replaced by Trump-fellator FOOL Moon?
Moon, just because you married some skeezy slag who rolls her eyes at you doesn't mean that you're god's gift to women, or their self-esteem or empowerment or whatever role you're trying out for here.
Known Unknown, I may have zero proof that collusion happened, but you also have zero proof that it didn't happen. As I said it's classified info and we are not privy to it. Be patient. Not every thing gets leaked. 5/12/17, 3:29 PM
“Known Unknown, I may have zero proof that collusion happened, but you also have zero proof that it didn't happen. As I said it's classified info and we are not privy to it. Be patient. Not every thing gets leaked.”
And now we know it DID happen. He tried to do it again with with Ukraine and got caught red handed with lots of evidence this time. Too bad twice in 3 years just was two times too many.
Women love Trump fanboys like Full Moon. Especially American women.
HAHAHAHAHA.
Once they hear that he's a contractor, he reminds them all of the catcalls they'd get at construction sites. I mean, as far as aphrodisiacs go, that must be like Pepe le Pew marketing a cologne.
Don't worry contractor-feminist Full Moon. Women love guys like you and how well you and your fellow Trump supporters speak to their dignity or whatever.
He's busy telling everyone what a historian he is of 1920s economic miracles while being the good conservative that he is
Ritmo, you are a thousand laughs. No history. The 1920s are ancient history. You have no idea who fought World War I which gave us our last 70 years of history. Hilarious. The future began yesterday and the past ended the day before.
The economic imbalance came largely from lloyd george and clemenceaus demand for reparations against germany, also the debris of the great war. Recounted in burleighs sacred places.
You have no idea who fought World War I which gave us our last 70 years of history. Hilarious. The future began yesterday and the past ended the day before.
And you have no idea how much more important WWII was and how the Republican Great Depression set it off. Talk about a loser. If WWI was that much more important than WWII then the latter wouldn't have happened.
Anyway, none of this concerns you. I'll ask your idol Don Trump to send you a dick pic instead since that would obviously be much more interesting to you.
Now i really what was the point of the great war to lay waste to much of the continent, what price was worthy the loss of a generation all through out the continent.
If Full Moon were any more of a Trump-Loving Radical Pseudo-Feminist, he'd be grabbing his own pussy by now.
In fact, I think that's what he's doing.
Careful about grabbing yourself by your pussy on the job, Moon. It's not a good look in overalls, or whatever it is you mouth-breathing contractor types wear nowadays.
Contractors Calling Out Insufficient Feminism. That's funny. What's next? Boxers for gentle hand caresses?
To this day, do you really know what Obama thought about things, or Hillary Both were adamantly anti-gay marriage right up until it got politically advantageous to change that. You don't know what they really think, because they're not sure themselves until they get that finger in the wind. The same with the likes of Biden or Warren. Being unsure what to think, they speak accordingly. That's the typical politician, especially on the left, except for Bernie who has had the character to be wrong about things his whole life.
The best part of Bernie's campaign now is how seamlessly Bernie transitioned from having Hillary controlling him to having AOC dictating policy to him.
I didn't care much for Ann's moderation policy. It slowed the discussion and changed the tone. I was glad when she went back to open commenting.
On the other hand, it was really nice to have a conversation without having to put up with the Squeamish Fascist's bullshit.
If I have to vote for open commenting with Squeamish or moderated commenting without s/he/it (and a couple of the others) I reluctantly vote for moderation.
There are some others who are almost as batshit nutso and I would prefer if they could wander off and take their crazy elsewhere. I can live with them though because they tend not to be as prolific as Squeamish. It's the downright volume that makes Squeamish especially objectionable.
Well Darkisland, if you and your fellow ignoramuses said less ridiculous things worth objecting to, then maybe you'd find my own comments less objectionable. And less voluminous.
I've said it before, I'll say it again: Say less stupid things and then you won't find me correcting your lazy keister so darn much. What's so hard to understand about that?
Take some responsibility. Or demand it of your fellow right-wingers.
I just read Don Surber reporting that Prince Andrew had been kicked out of his mom's basement. I had known he had basically been fired from all royal duties and incomes.
I'd not heard it put like that before. Don has a way with words.
If the queen can kick Randy Andy out of the basement, perhaps there is hope w/r/t Squeamish.
Then, after Schitt's head finally finds its way back down into orbit and down to earth, a large group of intellectual football players spike it in the endzone.
Living in a basement must be an adult's way of relating to the world, provided he's an expat in P.R. with dreams of building his very own spaceport there.
Do you play with model trains and toy race car sets too, John?

Not a fan of Trump's talks. Just his zingers.
Hear, hear rahajm!!!!
Amen, wendybar!
Shorter Chuck: “how uncouth! The country club has surely gone to pot!”
Time to adjust your meds, Chuck - it’s gonna be a long five years for you and your fellow cucks.
Trump is always inventing different ways to reach not only his supporters, but to America in general. Always free, may I add.
Chuck, do you think Trump has committed an impeachable offense?
If so, what?
If not, isn't the attempt to impeach him more important and more worthy of condemnation than whatever inaccuracies you claim in Trump's remarks?
I’m watching “The Crown” instead. (Better acting, sets and costumes)
From the above link
A parade of witnesses testified under oath that he'd engaged in a corrupt scheme to force a foreign government to attack American democracy for his personal benefit.
The idiocy is mind bending. Accusations that not a single witness made. Each and every witness admitted under cross examination, no laws were violated, no constitutional violations. Every.Single. One
I pointed how jeff carr, a real infosec expert rubbished the crowdstrike analysis, for one why would they be using a non eussian site, not yandex
Russian, little thinks like that, esquire was so busy licking obama for eight years they needed a double politiciam shot,
"The idiocy is mind bending."
It doesn't look so much like "idiocy" to me as it does plain and simple "lying".

Peniccilin, what an autocucumber.
The funny thing about libtard "reporting", evident in Chuck's links, is it's all circular.
One reporter says something is "debunked", as proof they link to another reporter calling that thing a "conspiracy theory.
Politico Disowns Its Own Reporting Because Trump
The press are unfair to Trump, selling gross bias, half truths and lies because they hate Trump.
Yet the press think they are being silenced?
another lie.
So fox didn't broadcast the interview? Or there were no viewers?
Otherwise there were a lot more than 3 people attending the "rally".
And if there were only 3 people, he still did better than deval Patrick who canceled a Rally last week when only a few people showed up.
John Henry
I really don’t see a political argument for impeaching Trump. Doing so would mean a Senate trial, where the GOP will indulge every Trump request for airing favorable evidence and testimony, all designed to make the Democrats look bad. It’s all political theater and everyone knows it. The Democrats know there’s zero chance of removing Trump, so they’re using (abusing) their constitutional powers, and spending taxpayer money, to try to influence the 2020 election. So they’ll drag this out for as long as possible in hopes of mortally wounding Trump’s candidacy.
deval Patrick who canceled a Rally last week when only a few people showed up.
One of which looked like a homeless guy seeking a warm room.
But maybe not.
How many did he reach with this, that have not heard these loops in his rallies?
Its not new to some people but its likely to be new to others.
The three sitting there pretending to be journalists are being silly.
Or their producers are.
Their model is obsolete.
Thanks Buwaya - very insightful!
People who become US Presidents are usually one step ahead of their competition.
Roosevelt - Radio
Kennedy - TV.
Reagan - coordinated messages visually striking
Clinton - trash talk, media coordination
Obama - Voter outreach
Trump - media spinning, social media, rallies

The guy on the right seems a little testy...hormones?
It’s not more entertaining when other networks have a panel of appropriately-colored and gendered people who go around taking turns in a loop repeating the same ideas back and forth to each other.
Their interactions and scripted talking points are not spontaneity, but an attempt to hide the filibuster that’s actually taking place.
buwaya said...Sometimes all it takes to achieve a measure of greatness is to understand when old constraints no longer apply, and simply ignore them.
Yes, Trump was moved that window by over tons.
Were we supposed to be entertained by their ineffectuality? I don't think that was his intent.
Here we are, discussing the call and the content of the call this morning...
Hitler and Mussolini - Aircraft
They were the first to exploit flying to expand their reach in physical appearances.
Kilmeade is a fan, but he pays too much to the vapor crew
Orwell based minitrue on his experience on the bbc world service.
Thanks it really is an insipid gruel they geed people, and people think they are informed.
He was recycling old loops that I've heard before in rallies
.....and The Rolling Stones have become a cover band!
He was recycling old loops that I've heard before in rallies
I know. Clearly he has no idea what he's doing. He definitely needs more advice from his political opponents and armchair politicos...
And lets be honest, obama could have worn sweat pants and the LLR Chuck's of the world, when not attacking women and children, would still be worshipping him.
well swalwell is a net methane producer, had there been a smoker in that room, by by studio,
there's a whole lot of noise, from the ap from the times, the post et al
Sure, there was an audience of three present, but there must have been at least twice that, if you count those watching online.
Good times, good times.

This is what I don’t like about Debates.
Why? This isn’t North Korea yet.

Coolidge was ahead of both Hitler and Roosevelt. After 1932, it became necessary to ridicule Coolidge and forget the rapid recovery of 1921.
Coolidge used radio live, which was all there was, as early as 1923.

Why would they impeach Pence?
Haven’t you noticed the deep state gets most of it’s work done with Republican cucks as president?
Mitt Romney was all set to make romneycare permanent and pass cap and trade.
The Democrats are not the worst enemy we have.
I am positive Pence would make a “bipartisan” deal on immigration.
Buwaya,
Fdr was first with TV when he started his presidential fireside talks in 1929

Trump irritates the right people and he fights back. The rallies and FNC shows is all about that. That’s how it plays these days.
Are you guys able to get anything right?
It’s also dull TV when it’s simply a voiceover with a shot of sitting non-talking heads alternating with a still image of Trump and a cell phone.
Such is his life.
This was not an interview but rather a demonstration that when you're Trump, they let you grab them by the, uh, microphone.
A parade of witnesses testified under oath that he'd engaged in a corrupt scheme to force a foreign government to attack American democracy for his personal benefit.
Witnesses? Witnesses to what?
Joe Biden said FDR was on TV in the 1920s.
As a presidential nominee candidate I fear objecting to Biden's assertion could force me to testify before Congress.
The good news is that I would show Congress what real contempt looks like.
Ritmo thinks history started 15 minutes ago and that the 1920s started in October 1929.
Neat-o.
Ritmo is back.
I feel, maybe, like inflicting Spanish coffee on him.
But that would be too cruel.

Blogger John henry said...
So fox didn't broadcast the interview? Or there were no viewers?
Otherwise there were a lot more than 3 people attending the "rally".
And if there were only 3 people, he still did better than deval Patrick who canceled a Rally last week when only a few people showed up.

I was thinking the same thing. Probably more people watched this rally of 3, than his usual stuff, because it's on Fox.

Bustelo is the cheapest coffee you can get in NYC. Needs sweetened condensed milk to taste good.
yes, I used to have pilon, but it's gotten ridiculously expensive,

This is the problem with American "conservatives." The concept is an oxymoron. It was progressives who founded this country and did a revolution the right way. And then during the Civil War.

I admit it is a bit over the top. One of these days, though there are going to be politicians of a certain philosophy decorating lampposts.

Harris is the real punitive one. She practically promised to go after Trump if elected. I wondered if she'd be smart enough to recuse herself during a Senate trial? She and the rest of the sitting Senator POTUS wannabes. They're all too dumb to get that conflict of interest.
in order to please his Russian taskmaster. Which the founders basically said was their dictionary definition of an impeachable offense.
Hilarious. Neoneo even has a post on Middle aged women who still think the Russia hoax is real. Is that you, Ritmo ?
When one resorts to schoolyard taunts, personal attacks and fantasies about the politics of the Founders (we all know how fond progressives are of the U.S. Constitution), one has admitted failure.
Talk about not having a life. Neoneo? Was that the greeting used by Mork from Ork? Nanoo nanoo.
Anyway, those of us living in the current decade, by which we've moved on and left those who get their news and analysis from bloggers to the alternative right-wing basement dwellers, figure that what Andrew Napolitano, Alexander Hamilton and James Madison said counts for considerably more.
https://www.americanprogress.org/issues/democracy/news/2019/09/26/475114/founders-impeached-trump-ukraine-related-misconduct/
https://prospect.org/impeachment/would-the-founding-fathers-impeach-trump/
But Dr Doolittle is too good to read them. He's busy telling everyone what a historian he is of 1920s economic miracles while being the good conservative that he is and declaring that Madison and Hamilton's warnings about presidents "betraying his trust to foreign powers" must have actually been about something other than the misdeeds that Trump regularly busies himself with.
How predictable.
To be a conservative in America must be like suffering an identity disorder.

l'll take Thomas Jefferson's prescient views about the "Musselmen" over anything the modern DNC is trumpeting these days.

She does have an atavism against sunni islamist, not so much alawites.

Not as much as he admired the American South:
Causing harm to the honor of the race must also be made criminally punishable. It scandalously flouts the sentiments of the Volk when, for example, German women shamelessly consort with Negroes. That said, the provision is to be limited to cases in which the association takes place in public and occurs in a shameless manner and gives gross offense to the sentiments of the Volk (for example indecent dancing in a pub with a Negro). The provision is also to be limited to coloreds. Protection of racial honor of this kind is already practiced by other Völker. It is well-know, for example, that the southern states of North America maintain the most stringent separation between the white population and coloreds in both public and personal interactions..
You know less about history than a dog knows about catnip.

HAHAHAHA. You're a loser of the rankest order.
Have fun installing those washing machines and bidets, Moon.
We know you need your alone time with them.
One might say clemenceau was seeking vengeance over sedan in 1870, but was lloyd georges motive.
Fun to watch.
Yes but he appointed ken jennings a nambla proponent to the education departmemt
John Henry
O.K. Enough frivolity.
And, Rit, seiously bro, sorry for your loss.
Have a good night.

Good night. Enjoy that spaceport.

Then, after Schitt's head finally finds its way back down into orbit and down to earth, a large group of intellectual football players spike it in the endzone.
but the cannon is so temping, they re-launch it.
Living in a basement must be an adult's way of relating to the world, provided he's an expat in P.R. with dreams of building his very own spaceport there.
Do you play with model trains and toy race car sets too, John?
I think the windsors have run their line into the ground.
News out of puerto rico often surfaces here but in a breathless and incoherent manner.
The newscaster spend three paragraphs about some disgraced minister, but barely tell what was their offense.
So much heat.
So little light.
Sleep it off, Ritmo.
