The "actual sunrise" time today was 7:26. Here's how 7:26 looked:

Wouldn't it be weird if the Astros win all three in DC while the Nats win all four in Houston? Has that ever happened before with visiting teams?

Are your "actual sunrise" times corrected for atmospheric refraction?

Like you said before, it's a lot less interesting without clouds. You're offerings yesterday were spectacular.

Adding insult to (more than) injury, reports are being received that al-Baghdadi had also put $20 on Notre Dame over Michigan last night.

A fine morning for a little Don Williams.

I think it interesting that folks in southern Iraq is now rioting against the Iranian puppet regime imposed on them.
Seems like maybe George W. wasn't all that far off the mark after all, eh?

Hitler and Göbbels were right: in the propaganda game, just keep repeating your lies and in time your enemies will adopt your terminology and with it its premises.

Just takes 2 minutes for the sun to pop up over the buildings on the horizon?

Click the "sunrise" tag to see the pictures from just a few days ago to see how much the sun has been moving to the right each day. The shapes of the buildings make it possible to keep track. I wonder when it will reach the smokestacks.

"I wonder when it will reach the smokestacks."

A compass and a planetarium program will tell you that now. Or you could go out every day for weeks. Both are good.

Get the LightTrac app ... it can forecast the angle of the sun. It’s useful for planning shots. For me, I’ll find the date/time a sunset lines up with a street or pier.

And yes, the sun moves quickly this time of year. Check out the analemma that’s printed on globes, or Google it.

BTW, how do you estimate your sunset/sunrise times? Is it adjusted to your local GPS coordinates? I have an app on my Fitbit Ionic watch that tells me the local sunrise/sunset times. I haven't tested it to see how accurate it is though.

The LightTrac app should give you the local rise/set times.
