tim in vermont said...: If that’s the iPhone 11, I think I will buy one. It’s hard to get sharp images of that kind of, I will call it filigree, of small branches with a digital SLR without a lot of sophisticated post processing, which I guess the camera does automatically now.

Carol said...: I was going to take a pic of the sun coming through the fog yesterday morning, but it is such a hassle, in the freezing cold, when wearing gloves, and trying to see the screen when it's set for indoors. Plus, breaking the stride of my powerwalk!

It had the peculiar off-on-off-on-off beginning that characterizes auto pole strikes though. Pole top broken, and the wires swing and short out down the line, and the power company breaker trips until they can fix it.; 10/29/19, 2:48 PM

True! I do think of that. If something is going to fall, today was a good bet to be the day they fell. You could scare yourself out of ever going for a walk in the woods.; 10/29/19, 4:12 PM

First day with snow on them is more dangerous than subsequent days with snow on them -- if snow could make them fall then they'd have broken off immediately after the first snowfall. You don't have to scare yourself out of ever going out into the woods; just be wary.; 10/29/19, 8:50 PM
