I've been to Santa Barbara and eaten on Stearn's Wharf. But it can get a little wet.

Climate change - is there anything it can't do?

Santa Barbara is the jewel of the coastal California, famed for its warm winter climate.. But the last 3 years of Global Cooling has screwed up the warm weather further south each year.

"Quintessential" needs to be retired from that site's style book.

Gad what a tired writer-word.

California is having another wet winter. What a shame that Jerry Brown made no provision for water storage,

His father, who built the California water system, must be spinning in his grave,

Lightening is pretty, until it blows up the tree next to your house.

Santa Barbara and the surrounding areas are gorgeous. Sadly it has been ruined by the lunatics that run the place.

My daughter goes to school near there at UCSB. I’ve been on that pier. I’m guessing the photo was taken from near the end of the pier, looking straight back to shore. So that photo is looking due north, given the lay of the land. I’ve sort of fallen in love with that part of California because the shoreline runs perpendicular to the rest of California.

Or as Lee Trevino said, I've been all over the world, was in the Marines for four years, and been struck by lightning, and there's only one thing I'm afraid of: my wife.
