Even if its not "enough to break the logjam," it's enough to allow him to say I offered a specific compromise and you didn't... unless and until they do make a specific counteroffer.

It makes it very likely that the Democrats will *not* compromise, because on the surface it looks like a concession. I expect Trump has gamed that out.
They will say no. They don't want to negotiate with him, because they don't want to give him any credit for anything. They want to blame HIM for this long shutdown, while Nancy can't stay in DC long enough to do anything.
Trump could have pulled Pelosi's plane once she was in Afghanistan.

As long as the uniparty doesn't get everything it wants while giving nothing in return, then it's Trump's fault. The only acceptable compromise here is of the form "I will gladly give you border security and immigration enforcement tomorrow for DACA and amnesty today".
Trump is just so boorishly lacking in nuanced understanding of the precedent and traditions surrounding this issue.
Dems will demand permanent DACA not three-year extension. Trump might know this and be prepared to agree. Then Dems will demand something else, because they left themselves no room to negotiate on the wall.
I doubt that such a proposal will be rejected.
If I were the Democrats I would add to it something else their "progressive" wing wants and something that smacks of "get tough on illegal aliens" without being nonsense. And negotiate from there.

Trump already offered way more DACA recipients protection in January 2018. Democrats rejected that...He offered 1.8 million, to their 800,000. Giving them legal status for another 3 years is better than a pathway to citizenship, which is what the Democrats want (and why they will reject this).
I'm willing to compromise on the Dreamers, specially if we get a wall/enforcement out of it. If they make it to 18 with no felonies give them permanent resident status and a path to citizenship. No family reunification rights though. We need to end chain migration almost as much as illegal immigration.
The DACA kids need to occupy the offices of the Dems in Congress. Occupy Congress!

A favorite MSM myth [or, rather deliberate misinformation]: 'Most drugs seized come across the ports of entry'. The key here is 'seized'. What about the vast majority of drugs that come across remote areas that are NOT seized. The media must think we are utter morons.

After DECADES of mealy mouth assertions by Democrats and getting jack and schist from them, actually getting even half a wall for some kids is a no brainer.

There are probably more than a few who don't participate in polls. I, for one, would be happy to answer one or two simple questions but they demand demographic information that should have no bearing on the poll. My religious beliefs and income level are no business of pollsters.

The fresh-faced, lovable little tykes covered by DACA "made it to 18" two decades ago. The program age limit says it applies to those born on or after June 16, 1981.
I keep a landline, not sure why. I get bombarded by poll requests. My response is usually to tell the questioner that I refuse to participate in polls because they are generally dishonest and then slam the receiver down.
Seems to me that this was a way for Trump to remove Pelosi from the negotiation table and replace her with the American people.
Pelosi won't accept because there is no political need to do so.
