It's a white Christmas — by a pinch...

fullsizeoutput_2db2

... and the magic of Christmas is here. I know that at age 67, it's marginal — right? — to believe in the Christmas lizard. But there he is...

Version 2

I have seen him with my own eyes!

Lizard!? I think not. I just came in from shoveling. It was a fish!

I fish you a Merry Christmas. And a guppy new year.

May the spirit of Christmas fill your hearts.

We received about an inch of snow here. Sing it Bing!

We had just a touch of frost on the lawn here in SE NC, just enough to evoke a White Christmas. Merry Christmas Alhousians.

Merry Christmas to all!

We woke up to a small amount of snow this morning and it was beautiful. Quite late for us as we usually have much more in Nov-Dec. Tonight we plan to drive around after dark and look at all of the Christmas lights. Some people really go overboard :-)

Merry Christmas! Hey, where's the backyard bike trail Meade installed a year or so ago?

Yesterday, my son drove from Green Bay to central Michigan. The only snow he saw was here. Prayers answered!

Merry Christmas to one and all.

Bright , sunny and warm in Tampa. The strawberries are growing red
And juicy down the road in Plant City.

And a very Happy Christmas to you, Professor, and Meade. Here in central Virginia it is in the 20's at night but no snow since about 2 weeks ago. Plenty on the Blue Ridge though.

We met our son and his wife in San Diego last night. They flew in; we had a leasurely drive from New Mexico, stopping in Phoenix. We are staying at the Old Town Inn. It is a little dated but nice. Then we will stay at a cottage on Camp Pendleton a few days. This is the first time we have done something like this over Christmas. Let’s hope for good memories out of it. BTW, gas was $1.88 in Bernalillo when we left. It is $3.45 here. Location, location! Location!

Merry Christmas to all!

Maybe it's one of those efts which infest crossword puzzles, or something of that ilk.

That is neither a lizard nor a fish nor any other sort of vertebrate. It is Ebenezer Scrooge’s favorite insect, a humbug.

As Tiny Tim said, “May God bless us, everyone.”

***But Trump scrapped plans to head to Florida for the holidays after parts of the government were forced to shut down indefinitely in a budget stalemate with Congress.****

Clever editor would have used for heartwarming headline for many ?

Air Force One grounded due to government shut down. Har har

Merry Christmas to Ann, Meade, and to all your household.

29 degrees and 3" of snow in NW Pa. No wind - a huge plus. Took Ziggy the GSD for nice walk in the woods. Deer and coyote tracks. More of the former, which is good.

Fredo was the smart one, going legit even knowing his 99.9% evil sociopath brother would whack him for it. Fredo is the war hero who tried to drag his gang-banging guumbah family away from their violent animalistic DNA nature.

Maybe not everyone!

Am I supposed to eat shellfish and post images of it today? Is that a thing? I'm so old school I was going to just down a liter of Scotch as is tradition in my family on Christmas.

We had the same dusting here in Milwaukee. It won't last the day. I'm letting it melt.

Merry Christmas Meadehouse and commenters.

Merry Christmas, all!

No Christmas lizards but one slow moving tree frog by the wood pile. Raccoons will love the garbage bin with the uneaten brioche french toast casserole.

BIL trying for a Christmas bass.

No snow in Orange County this year — it’s not even cold enough to light the fireplace. We’re going to turn a Christmas ham on the barbie and get all merry.

Look closely. It's quite visible through the snow.

I saw Meade biking that trail just a few days ago.

Merry Christmas Ann, Meade, and the the rest of the Althouse folks!
I may not get through the day without killing my husband. Broke my foot a few weeks ago so he keeps trying to “help” with the food prep for our party later today with the kids and grandkids. Let’s just say it’s not going well ....

I don't want a white Christmas
All covered with snow,
I want a bright Christmas
with plenty calypso
Because a white Christmas
is something I've never seen
I want my belly full of rum
plenty music plenty sun
And a bright, bright, Christmas of green.

Wishing everyone here a merry and bright (white or otherwise) Christmas.

Sounds like one of those off-the-rails Alexas.

No sex talk!
Have some respect, it's still Christmas morn.

It's either the Geico gecko or Gingrich the Newt.

Be glad she called it a "trail." I usually refer to as my pump track.

We had a light dusting in our neck of the woods. Still, it was a white Christmas eve, and a snow-covered yard, if not technically a white Christmas.

Merry Christ-mas!
