"Normally, I would not comment on something as egregiously misstated as today’s story. However, the assertion that I punched anyone over a parking spot is false."

"I wanted to go on the record stating as much. I realize that it has become a sport to tag people w as many negative negative charges and defaming allegations as possible for the purposes of clickbait entertainment. Fortunately, no matter how reverberating the echos [sic], it doesn’t make the statements true."

Tweeted Alec Baldwin, after his humiliating arrest, reports Page Six. Video at the link shows him hounded by the press as he leaves the police station.

"Hey, Alec, what kind of example are you setting for your kids with your little temper tantrum?" taunts someone in the crowd, maybe a reporter. Baldwin has 4 children under the age of 5.

"Huh? Can't you afford a garage at this point with the money you make?" continues the taunter, who was, presumably, disappointed when Baldwin did not charge into the crowd and take a shot at him. Baldwin calmly entered an awaiting car and rode off.

Trump — the man Baldwin is famous for impersonating — was informed of the arrest and said, spontaneously, "I wish him luck." Trump Jr., on the other hand, tweeted, "Is anyone shocked at this piece of garbage anymore? As if the phone calls to his daughter weren’t bad enough. He’s a lib so he gets chance after chance to be decent but always fails!"

Baldwin might be right. This could be Fake News.

This could be a disclaimer before every SNL skit featuring Alec Baldwin.

Take the tweeter away from Jr too.

I wonder if any SNL writer has the nerve to put a reference in the show, ideally in Baldwin's skit, if there is one. If Baldwin had any sense, he'd do it himself.

In this case Baldwin plays the part of doofus George Constanza to the other guy as Mike Moffet. George acted by far more reasonable than doofus Baldwin. Liberals are really wacko.

Meh. He won’t be there tomorrow, nobody will mention him and he’ll be back next week.

He doesn't want to say it but you know he's thinking it...Fake News.

Baldwin punched that guy for some other reason.

Sounds like Baldwin left himself some wiggle room between "punched anyone" and "over a parking spot".

Somebody else mentioned this on a different thread, but repeated for truth: If SNL was still interested in edgy comedy, they would convince Trump to do the cold opening tonight, portraying Baldwin leaving the station.

I bet Trump would do it.

Given Baldwin's history...which way would you bet?

Great idea.

Also for the purposes of derailing nominations. Unless you prove yourself innocent, you should go to prison. Sorry, those are the new rules. I'm sure you were all in favor of them not long ago.

Baldwin has 4 more children under the age of 5? Cause Ireland is now 23. So check wiki...

Sure enough, he has 1/2 of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with Rafael and Leonardo.

Baldwin has a long history of letting his temper get away from him. He's physically assaulted a photographer, verbally abused his daughter, verbally abused a flight attendant, and was arrested previously in 2014 for disorderly conduct. If had a rap sheet like that, I'd have a problem finding a job, much less a parking spot.

Geez dude - give it a rest.

I pretty much always discount the "celebrity punched me" kinds of stories, and so will do so on this one, too. There are so many nuts that follow these people around that such complaints usually are made up by one of them.

Is there anyone in show business who isn't a Holly-weirdo?

Think The Met will drop this psycho asshole from their broadcasts now? No, me neither. Typical Democrat party prog scumbags without a shred of decency or a speck of honor. They shielded a child molester for decades, now this piece of shit is their voice on radio. The Met, where Democrat party creeps and molesters are safe from consequences.

On screen Alec behaves as Dems think he does. In reality heAlec behaves as Trump’s supporter think Trump would

After looking up Baldwin's phone call to daughter - he clearly has a problem.

Trump as Baldwin would be hilarious. The hysterical media cries of 'not Presidential' that would follow - would not be.

I note the weasel phrase “over a parking spot”. Like the civil war wasn’t over slavery.

But it’s fun either way. Is Baldwin an entitled lout, or is this fake news?

Trump wins again. Don't bet against this guy.

The only difference between the rich and other people is that the rich have more money and they have immense control over how they are handled under the law.

So Al, if not over a parking spot, what did you punch him over?

mccullough said...

Alec Baldwin’s celebrity is slipping. Trump won’t taunt him in a tweet. He gets taunted by Jr. instead.

Like GW Bush supposedly "waving" to Stevie Wonder at a concert, I am going to chalk this up as too good to be true because it follows my prejudices. This sounds like something this roid raging psycho would do but maybe this is a false positive? Glad we have a due process and criminal procedures to fall back on and determine the facts of this casse.

Someday he's going to throw a punch at someone who is going to break his face. Maybe then he'll start thinking about anger management. Or not.
