"At one point, he went off on a long tangent about how Jenner used to coach his daughter Ireland’s school track team. 'He would shake my hand, and I say this not with any judgment,' Baldwin began, all but promising an ill-advised comment. 'There wasn’t a drop of Caitlyn in him when I knew him.' After doing an impression of Jenner at the time, seemingly playing up his 'masculine' interests and demeanor, he concluded, 'I didn’t see any of that coming.' At Baldwin’s urging, [Kim] Kardashian discussed walking in on Jenner dressed in women’s clothing when she was 25, after which she immediately packed a bag and ran out of the house. Jenner told Kardashian not to tell her mother, saying, 'She’ll kill me.' Without getting into any of the reported drama between Caitlyn and the Kardashians, Kim said that she just wants Jenner to be happy...."
From "The Hell That Was Watching Kim Kardashian and Alec Baldwin Chat for an Hour/The second episode of ‘The Alec Baldwin Show’ featured a grueling sit-down talk between the reality-TV superstar and SNL’s Trump" (The Daily Beast).

Bruce gave his first clue about Caitlyn on June 20, 1980.
I am Laslo.
"As noted in the previous post, Alec Baldwin is in trouble."
For years, his go-to form of abuse toward men who piss him off has been anti-gay slurs. But as a famous liberal in good standing, he'd earned some indulgences.
It's always interesting to me when the left withdraws their protection of someone.
As noted in the previous post, Alec Baldwin is in trouble.
Let's see. He uses racist and homophobic slurs at will and he is abusive to his little girl.
But he's just now in trouble because he is not effective in his attacks on Trump.
Progressives have trouble with prioritising.
This year for the first time in my life, I will vote straight Republican ticket. These crazy assholes can't be allowed anywhere close to power
So the problem here is that Baldwin didn't talk enough about Trump?
Laslo, I'm not looking it up: Is that when the movie came out?
Drat - I'm so sorry I missed this penetrating television show.......
her transition.
"His mutilation". Talk about sloppy misuse of words...
Meanwhile, in the not totally boring world of "Doghat" -
"These rogue monkeys are the real culprits and must pay for it. We have given a written complaint against monkeys but police don’t seem to be convinced enough to convert it into an FIR." ...
Chitwan Singh, station officer of Doghat police station, said, “How can we register the case against monkeys?"
You have to be so careful what you think, these days.
http://www.back2stonewall.com/2016/06/june-20th-1980-cant-stop-music-premieres.html
On this date the absolute GAYEST, non-gay movie musical comedy ever: a movie so bad it may have single-handedly actually killed the disco era. Can’t Stop the Music opened in theaters starring Bruce Jenner, Steve Gutenberg Valarie Perrine, and the Village People.
Directed by Nancy Walker and ritten by Allan Carr & Bronté Woodard, the film is a very loosely based-biography of disco’s Village People which bears no resemblance to the actual story of the group’s formation done in spectacular gaudy technicolor!
The story is about Jack Morell (Steve Guttenberg)-a reference to Village People creator Jacques Morali- who gets a break DJing at local disco Saddle Tramps. His roommate Sam Simpson (Valerie Perrine), a supermodel newly retired at the peak of her success, sees the response to a song he wrote for her (“Samantha“) and agrees to use her connections to get him a record deal. Her connection, ex-boyfriend Steve Waits (Paul Sand), president of Marrakech Records (a reference to Village People record labelCasablanca Records), is more interested in getting back with her than in Jack’s music (and more interested in taking business calls than in wooing Samantha), but agrees to listen to a demo.
If you don't ratchet up the HATE to lethal doses, you're considered a traitor to the angry white progressive left.
Couldn't happen to a nicer asshole.
It’s really odd that Baldwin with his abusive background is as popular as he is.
These crazy assholes can't be allowed anywhere close to power
I think this includes electrical outlets.
Baldwin has been pushed off the wagon... under the bus. Where once he was a bundle of joy, he is now a burden with progressive returns.
Apparently you are no longer allowed to hold your own opinion, even when the topic with the required opinion is about 5 minutes old.
Maybe Baldwin has transitioned in the Left's eyes into Trump, a Trump they CAN do something about. So long, Alec, its been good to know ya.
The only good role I ever saw Baldwin play was Jack Ryan in "Hunt for Red October." After that he was too important for the role so they had to get Harrison Ford for the others.

That's an interesting theory. The left is just that stupid.

I disagree. I'd even give them a knife to play with.
"The Hunt for Red October" was a damn fine movie --and it still holds up 30 years after the fact.
And, Yes, Sean Connery was the star, but if you can believe it, Alec Baldwin was a pretty good co-star.
Bring back the young Alec Baldwin!

Heeeey - I got a black guy doing just that in one of my blog's links today.
What was there for Baldwin to filter?
Bay Area Guy, 11:06:
Hunt for Red October was terrific. I'll give Baldwin credit too for:
- Malice, in which he gives a heart-surgeon's version of the Nicholson speech in A Few Good Men, also by Aaron Sorkin
- Glengarry Glen Ross, in which he has just over 7 minutes of extremely memorable screen time
Honorable mentions:
- The Departed, for playing an intermittently likeable asshole (probably not a big stretch)
- I've only seen one episode of 30 Rock, but I think his character came off stronger and more admirable than he was supposed to. (Much like Paul Newman's General Groves in Fat Man and Little Boy.)
- The Royal Tenenbaums for a wonderful narration. ("Immediately after saying this, Royal realized that it was true.")
I thought Baldwin was pretty great in "Miami Blues" opposite the always underestimated Fred Ward. Plus, though it ended poorly, he slept with Kim Basinger for chrissakes.

I'll give him that and 30 Rock. Can't stand him otherwise.
His best speech ever...
ALEC BALDWIN GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS ALWAYS BE CLOSING FULL SPEECH

He was good in "The Edge", with Anthony Hopkins, but he was playing an arrogant asshole, so...

Ford was the best Jack Ryan, and Ann Archer was great as his wife. Baldwin was the second best. Patriot Games was the best Jack Ryan movie.

Right-right.
Patriot Games was the best Jack Ryan movie.
Clancy hated that movie because they had the ending be a chase scene. Otherwise it was good.
True. "A-B-C." That Mamet guy can write.
Malice, in which he gives a heart-surgeon's version of the Nicholson speech in A Few Good Men,
I had forgotten that one. That was a good flick, sort of like Harrison Ford's playing against type in "What Lies Beneath."
Baldwin was hilariously miscast in "Pearl Harbor" as Doolittle.
He was more typical as the faithless boyfriend in "Working Girl."
'There wasn’t a drop of Caitlyn in him when I knew him.'
There were a few people trying to have the Olympic record book name changed after the transition. Which was silly. A man named Bruce won the decathlon for the US in 1976.
The Wikipedia articles say so, too, but there has been dissension based on what I can see in the article edit history.
I loved The Hunt for Red October, but couldn't remember anyone in it but Sam Neill and Sean Connery. I had to look it up to remember Alec Baldwin was Jack Ryan. I remember now thinking he was an awful choice for the movie.
Alec Baldwin once got applause on a talk show rant about going to DC and stoning politicians he didn't like to death.
He's nuts.
"'There wasn’t a drop of Caitlyn in him when I knew him.'"
Which brings the question: is there now a "drop" of Baldwin in Caitlyn?
I am Laslo.

We have revived the One Drop Rule.

Don't be too sure. I sense an approaching Mother of all Blowbacks in the trans debate.

Agreed. Jack Ryan is supposed to be a smart guy and Baldwin wasn't convincing as a smart guy.
I remember Alec Baldwin from Knot's Landing.
You cucks really get off on gossip. You all better start bragging about your ccw before you turn into a Chelsea or Caitlyn.
Baldwin was good in Hunt for Red October, but Richard Jordan had the best line in the whole move:
Listen, I'm a politician which means I'm a cheat and a liar, and when I'm not kissing babies I'm stealing their lollipops. But it also means I keep my options open.

Howard, does this have anything to do with your unrequited love for Baldwin ?
I'd even give them a knife to play with.
A knife is a weapon. A scalpel is humanitarian... They are both dual-use.

I don't know. I'm of the understanding that they're "born this way". Jenner was always a woman, n'est-ce pas?

Ironic, as it is Trump who literally lives the Always Be Closing life!
Putting aside Baldwin's piss poor Trump impersonation, he is a great comedic actor. He has been an SNL regular host since the 90's and his Jack Donahey character on 30 rock is still the most hilarious parody of a conservative to date. Sure he's a liberal asshole but we've known that for a while. Hope he isn't consumed on the pyre of political correctness.

You got me, big boy. That really hurts. It's gwan to leave a mark. I can't take the punching back twice as hard. You Trumpsters play unfair... I'm sending a complaint to Althouse.
Who in the hell decided to give this jackass his own show?
This piece links another, better article, "The Complicated Politics of Alec Baldwin." An actor of Baldwin's quality deserves a major cinematic role as a bad guy, except that they don't make movies like that anymore.
Is it just me? Am I remembering it wrong? Or did Jenner not enter in and win the MEN'S Decathlon?
Is it now wrong -- or wrongful -- to point that out?
The day that Jenner returns his gold medal for winning the Men's Decathlon and disqualifies himself for competing in a men's event as a woman, then we can begin to consider there is some intellectual honesty (or at least some real sincerity) involved here.
I like Baldwin the actor, especially the comedic actor. Baldwin the person seems like a real asshole.
I'm sending a complaint to Althouse.
Get in line behind Chuck, big guy.
I think he has about 20 by now.
Kardashian discussed walking in on Jenner dressed in women’s clothing when she was 25, after which she immediately packed a bag and ran out
She had known this man for about 15 years at that point. Packing a bag and leaving seems drastic. She may have been shocked, but is that how you act when a family member does something that shocks you?
Doc Mike puts a Cuck Me sign on his own back. He gets this superior shoulder flexibility by continuously patting himself on the back
enter in and win the MEN'S Decathlon
That was honest. Today, ze enters and wins against the feminine females. A fraud, most foul, committed against feminine females. #MeToo
Can't believe I'm reading a thread dedicated to Alec Baldwin, Caitlen Jenner, and the Kardashians.
Wait. I'm not reading it. Just came here to comment and leave.
Is Baldwin in trouble because Democrats are in trouble?

Howard has trouble with disagreement. So do the Democrats.
Howard, if you are in Tucson and want to protest at dinner, I'll give you a date and time.
I'll let you know next time we are going to be near Tucson. We will be wintering near Palm Springs before we move to Boston in the spring.
Howard, I don't have to "pat myself on the back." I think I represent the majority and that will become apparent.
It is certainly not the majority in California, which is why we left after 60 years in my case and three generations in my wife's case.
I had been spending long weekends in Tucson for 20 years and my youngest child graduated from U of A.
I think it was the plastic bag ban that finally made up my mind., We had dealt with craziness for decades but it finally boiled over.
The grandchildren are 7 hours away by car and the sanity level is far better here, even though Tucson is kind of a lefty city by AZ standards. It does have opera and shooting ranges. Big gun show this week end.
Let me know. We are always happy to see debaters.
Baldwin tried to fill in on a radio talk show in Philadelphia back in 2013. There are audio clips somewhere out there of part of his time on the air. He's so bad, so cringe-inducing, it's hilarious. After that, how anyone could give him another talk show...is, well, amazing, but not surprising. The left loves him and wants him as one of their 'smart' voices. He's had a number of radio and tv shows, as well as movies. He's great when reading good lines. He's terrible when left to his own words. Ask his daughter.

I thought you said you were moving to Texas.
Baldwin The Younger was also great in Beetlejuice.
There is a Boston, Texas.
