When Kerry writes that the nuclear agreement "made the world safer," is he lying to Trump (and us) or is he lying to himself? Remember what Richard Feynman said: "The first principle is that you must not fool yourself and you are the easiest person to fool."

John Kerry walks into a bar and the bartender says "Why the long face?" but before Kerry can answer the rest of the patrons toss him out the door where he lands on some packets of Heinz Tomato Ketchup, America's favorite ketchup for nearly 100 years unfortunately.

Why should Trump worry about Manafort? The cooperation agreements had nothing to do with the campaign.

Bingo, Matthew, but Lurch hasn't figured that part out yet.

Kerry is acting in violation of the Logan Act and should be charged accordingly. But we know how that works: Only the right can be held to account.

Ehh, the media and DC establishment are trying to drive Trump crazy, and it's working.

And for nothing. He did nothing wrong, but said bad things about immigrants, questions our obligations abroad, and doesn't buy free trade orthodoxy.

For God's sake get rid of him. Right?

In the last 24 hours, Andrew McCarthy has published 3 really good essays on the Mueller investigation, including another one that is a broad mea culpa.

Good luck with that.

Kerry is at open war with the Trump Regime that the Kerry Globalists have declared to be illegal and temporary. In other words this is the showdown at the OK Corral. The winner will be the side that controls the Military forces. Trump's reply should be ,"How many Marine Generals does Kerry have under his command." The strange events happening to various space assets is not a game.

"Tweets like that one simply underscore how Kerry is nowhere near as intelligent as he thinks he is."

Back when the Left was saying that Bush was dumb, a researcher looked at the cognitive test scores of Bush, Kerry and Gore, as performed by the US military. (It was probably the GATBE or some earlier version).

IQ testing is the most valid and reliable of all psychological endeavors, by a factor of 10. The US military has been instrumental in this regard. Their huge database has been used by psychologists for decades of IQ-related research.

Back to the point, the military data indicated that there were no statistically significant differences between Bush, Kerry and Gore's measured IQ, although Bush scored slightly higher than the two "geniuses."

Leftists like to assert that they are smarter and more virtuous than everyone else. That is hilarious!

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

What explains your delusion to the contrary?

The fact that Trump needs Putin and is in hock to him.

When you say "*our* army" do you mean the one that commits suicide at record rates and can't find enough purpose to avoid PTSD once they figure out that killing isn't the only skill one needs in life?

Hopefully Trump will continue to keep the opioid overdose death rate high. These are the things that help kill off his suicidal white pride base of supporters. It's really nice how their inherent violence can just as easily be directed back at themselves and help and country.

But November is going to show everyone Americans are with Trump and against the globalist left.

Addendum:

Bush, Kerry and Gore all scored in the high average range. That is typically smart enough to earn a bachelor's degree only, which may explain why Gore twice dropped out grad school.

High Average IQ is enough to be successful in life, but in a limited way. I tested senior executives for 17 years and 95% scored in the Low Superior range or better. Only a very few scored as low as High Average.

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

LOL. So says a moronic shit-for-brains who can't tell the difference between sequencing a genome and discovering it!

Do you know why Craig Venter did not get a Nobel Prize for discovering the human genome ?

What's the matter? Caribbean medical school entrance/graduation requirements didn't review Watson and Crick?

You know, the "acid" on that stamp they had you lick wasn't a nucleic acid.

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

Employment participation growing and real wage growth for the first time in decades the last 2 years.

That sounds like a typical slave-owner's argument. How's the poverty rate?

Who received the bulk of the benefits temporary and permanent of that tax cut?

How much of it did you get, and how much will you now owe China with the new and improved trillion dollar deficit it caused?

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

But November is going to show everyone Americans are with Trump and against the globalist left.

So as an "anti-globalist" how much further is Trump taking your so-called country into debt with China?

Sounds like a pretty amazing nationalist philosophy. Everyone knows that nation-building is all about indebting your country to foreign nations, right?

Do you think he can take it past a trillion $ per year? Why not $2 trillion?

Do I hear a $3?

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

Economically speaking, we're thinking something much more along the lines of Scandinavia or Germany.

But since you Trump voters have never heard of things like "atlases" or "maps" or "other countries" or "enough vacation time to travel and enough money to do it with" you obviously can't be expected to know the difference.

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

I was talking about domestic economic policy, not refugees. But whenever you get distracted and change the subject I accept that as what comes closest in Trump-land to a concession.

Where's all that infrastructure building that Trump promised? Why is America's public industry - airports, roads, bridges, etc. - still looking like something out of a shithole country?

Answer: Because Trump is an inveterate liar and just said that he'd put Americans to work rebuilding America because it made good sloganeering copy. A marketing gimmick.

In reality, he wants enrich the owners, and has done that handsomely. The public works of this nation - not at all.

Elon Musk is building more of America than Trump ever did or ever will. Hell, most mayors are doing more for America's industries than Trump is or can or knows how to.

Kerry was a well known swine in 1986, when he was an observer of the Philippine elections.

Senators Lugar and Kerry were dispatched to Manila as official observers. Kerry declined to observe. The well known accounts are in P.J.O'Rourke's "Manila Folder" and "Goons, Guns and Gold", wherein O'Rourke describes Kerry as doing naught but to "walk around like a male model in a concerned and thoughtful pose". I can confirm this view from personal testimony from the Filipino side. Lugar on the other hand, though sent to be a rubber stamp, did speak to the locals, actually did observe, and was instrumental in accordingly changing US policy.

Why anyone puts any trust in Kerry is very curious. His lack of character and incapacity are well known.

Well, at least he knows what to pose and be phony about. Things he's good at.

Arashi said...

Well let's be honest. Congress hasn't figured out that if you spend more than you take in, it results in deficits. It doesn't matter how much revenue comes in if you keep spending twice as much. I mean, they still have blank checks in the check book, they can't possibly be broke.

Nonapod said...

My comments may apply to also Trump in some ways, but in my opinion differences between Trump and Kerry are

1) Trump seems a bit more self aware of his shortcomings.

2) Trump has a more natural affinity for the vulgar (in the classical sense of the term) and isn't an exclusionist by nature, while Kerry is more of a stereotypical aristocrat and is most definitely an exclusionist.

3) Trump is more effective, no doubt because of points 1 & 2.

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

The record debts all started under Obama.

That's what a record recession, like the one started a few months before Obama's inauguration under Bush, will do. Bush BTW gave record debts as well.

So I guess it's not only math teachers you felt abused by but economics professors. What a challenge that must have been.

BTW, not that you have the brain cells for understanding this, but deficits/debt is supposed to increase in bad economic times, and paid down when times are good. But since you are a card-carrying member of The Party of Fiscal Irresponsibility, you are too ashamed and embarrassed to admit this fact.

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

1) Trump seems a bit more self aware of his shortcomings.

Lol, really! That's funny.

He's more aware of his need to hide how small, insignificant and ineffective a person he is under all circumstances. He builds an entire persona around it.

But that doesn't mean he does anything to avoid the consequences of his many inadequacies. As the NYT editorial from his staff point out, the people he hires have to go to great lengths to protect America and himself from HIM. Basically their full-time job involves hiding things from him due to his ego's inability to handle the truth about, well, basically anything.

I'd say that's a hell of a lot more dangerous. But hey - if it requires him to exercise 24/7 vigilance and paranoia and image-obsession about just how woefully inadequate for basic adult life he is, I'll grant you that. Narcissists are paranoid by default. They have to be. Nothing they "achieve" is ever earned, and they know that.

If anyone needs a model of how to effect change in US foreign policy, Richard Lugar in 1986 provides the model.

He honestly observed, was honestly convinced (he had no personal interest in what he was observing), contacted the President (Reagan, who trusted him), and persuaded him that the situation was not as had been previously understood, and persuaded him to reverse long standing US and especially Republican Party policy.

He did not interfere behind the back of his President.

It must be remembered that the Philippine crisis was a Democratic issue then, it was a definite partisan split. Our allies, who we lobbied in US Congressional delegations, were Democrats - including Chuck Schumer, note. The one who was most engaged was Stephen Solarz of Brooklyn, who I met several times and who impressed me.

Maybe "self aware" isn't exactly the correct term. I don't believe he's actually as delusional as certain people imagine him to be. He Knows damn well how people see him. And he knows how to work within that image to some extent.

Sure, he's often clumsy and inelegant, but he's still surprisingly effective at what he sets his mind to. It often seems like he's effective despite heaven and earth being arrayed against him.

This is not keen, it's a defect.

Normal people with functioning egos and limbic systems understand that most people's default reaction or appreciation of any given person is indifference. Whether there is more like than not, respect, contempt, hate, threat, appreciation - depends on an infinite number of factors, and summarizes a personal assessment way more complex than adulation versus intended destruction.

Trump's mind is too immature and primitive and underdeveloped to grasp this, and he therefore wallows in his office and the nation's business on oversimplified binary personal assessments that any 97 out of 100 more competent people know to be too unsophisticated to work with in their daily lives, let alone the highest office in the land.

But they were nowhere near to overthrowing the state in 1986.

The crisis was that the dictatorship had hit the economic rocks. Too much money borrowed and stolen.
People started to disobey. There was no money left to buy loyalty. Marcos tried to re-legitimize himself with the foreign creditors through a fake election, but it didn’t work.

Teddy Kennedy was traitorously undercutting Reagan in his negotiation with the Kremlin Commie thugs. No one seems to care.

John Kerry is now undercutting Trump and is his reply is dripping with contempt. Maybe, Trump should indict him - assuming he can wake sleepy Jeff Sessions up.

Do realize John Kerry was a war hero?

He must have pissed off that McCain played the "war hero card" every single fucking day for 35 years, yet no one cares about all his purple hearts.

People are always complaining about Trump tweeting or expressing his contempt for some DC Establishment Poo-bah or the press.

Why don't they complain that all the Establishment and the MSM refuse to give Trump the respect due to him as POTUS?

Seriously, the way Trump is being treated by the Establishment is unheard of. Its never happened before.

Hagar said...

John Kerry is a rather stupid man who thinks he is smart, which is dangerous with access to that much money.

I think the reason he is not releasing his DD214 is that it shows his dates of service and they show he was still in the navy when he gave that infamous testimony to Congress, i.e., it was all a sham; he was working for naval intelligence and spying on "the radicals" - a typical over the top and not too well thought out heroic performance by John Kerry.

This is of a piece with his doings in Viet Nam and his still having his medals, etc., proudly displayed on his office wall when he later served as a federal prosecutor in Boston, but not so convenient to have around when he then entered elective politics as a liberal Democrat. So, poof, they were gone.

I think a better reason not to show his DD214 is that he got a "less than honorable" discharge and his medals were revoked.

They were reissued by Carter.

Kerry, like most Democrats today, think the people exist to provide for them, and liberty is ok as long as it reaches the result that inures to their political and financial benefit.

THe Iran deal was not only an awful deal, it was crooked. They really do not want the people to find out how they were really wheelin' and dealin'.

The Commander in Chief needs to order the Armed Forces to clap this traitor in irons, and sweat him to reveal his co-conspirators. Perhaps a Seal Team could nab him on one of his trips to Tehran, and take him to a black ops place in Pakistan where the Kurds can introduce him to some interrogation skills Harvard Law may have omitted. We'll soon find out who the bigger hero is: Kerry or McCain.

His bio says he ran unsuccessfully for Congress in 1972 and enlisted in the Naval Reserve. I don't think he could do that with a prior less than honorable discharge.

It was his fellow "Swiftboat" skippers who arranged for that third purple heart and sent home. They felt his reckless stunts as a skipper put them all in danger for no good reasons.

OK, he should have said "elucidated the sequence" or "mapped"...not discover. But Crick and Watson didn't "discover" the human genome either, And NO ONE has ever fully sequenced the human genome, or for that matter, any other mammal..

I've maintained for a long time that the best way to get Democrats sent to outer darkness is to let people like Ritmo speak. Who could possibly demonstrate the disasters of the left more than people like him?

Heck, I'd rather be in a country run by Iranians than one run by Ritmo and company. The Iranians would only kill and enslave a good portion of the populace. Ritmo and co have dreams of reopening Auschwitz.

Economically speaking, we're thinking something much more along the lines of Scandinavia or Germany.

But since you Trump voters have never heard of things like "atlases" or "maps" or "other countries" or "enough vacation time to travel and enough money to do it with" you obviously can't be expected to know the difference.
******************************************************

Whereas YOU obviously haven't heard of "GDP per capita". Because if you did you would know that neither of those much smaller countries has a GDP per capita as high as ours.

Germany in particular had a GDP per capita of roughly $44K in 2017, while ours was $56K.

So...you would rather we in the US would ALL be poorer.....typical mindless leftist trash.

Yes, that is what I think happened. As for him in 1972, he may have still been in the Navy Reserve. The discharge probably came later.

Yes, most European countries have a cost of living like Manhattan and a per capita GDP like Arkansas.
Moreover their GDP growth rates are abysmal.
If the EU growth rate averages 2% and US growth rate averages 3%, in a century American GDP per head will be about 4 times the GDP per head of the EU.
Economic growth. There is no substitute.

Then there is the test of sanity for Kerry and Trump as reflected in these excerpts from their most famous speeches:

John Kerry's testimony before the House Foreign Relations Committee on April 22, 1971:

"Several months ago in Detroit we had an investigation at which over 150 honorably discharged and highly decorated veterans testified to war crimes committed in Southeast Asia. These were not isolated incidents, but crimes committed on a day-to-day basis, with the full awareness of officers at all levels of command.

"It is impossible to describe to you exactly what did happen in Detroit - - the emotions in the room, and the feelings of the men who were reliving their experiences in Vietnam. They relived the absolute horror of what this country, in a sense, made them do.

"They told stories that they had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in a fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam."
--------------------------------------------------------------

Donald Trump's campaign speech on July 19, 2016, when he free-associated about the Obama administration's nuclear deal with Iran:

Look, having nuclear—my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart—you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I'm one of the smartest people anywhere in the world—it’s true!—but when you're a conservative Republican they try—oh, do they do a number—that’s why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune—you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little disadvantaged—but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me—it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are (nuclear is powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what's going to happen and he was right—who would have thought?), but when you look at what's going on with the four prisoners—now it used to be three, now it’s four—but when it was three and even now, I would have said it's all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don't, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years—but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us.
