Nice Drudge graphic.

I read that as humorous critique, the play being on "The Battle of Britain." Drudge is saying they're making a mountain out of a molehill.

"No guy has any trouble dismissing the entire thing."

No, the guys, as ever, are trying to figure out what women want them to do. And they are frustrated, because it seems that they can never get it right and the women keep changing the rules or announcing rules that are not really the rules and you have to not only do the right thing — whatever it is — but do it the right way and in the right spirit and even if you try to do all that you will still not have it right because there's something about the way that you are "trying" that makes it wrong, something you're doing as a means to an end, an end that you will never ever deserve no matter what you do.

Watch them squirm. It's on TV now. Nonstop.

"The system is the subordination of women, so fuck the system."

Exactly. Innocent men - and women - be damned.

Reparative justice requires it. Hundreds of years of subordination of women needs to be addressed. The system that did that needs to be tossed aside. Due process, rights of the accused? Those didn't stop the oppression of women. In fact, they were used to oppress women so we need to do away with them.

Here's where one quotes More and Roper:

William Roper: So, now you give the Devil the benefit of law!

Sir Thomas More: Yes! What would you do? Cut a great road through the law to get after the Devil?

William Roper: Yes, I'd cut down every law in England to do that!

Sir Thomas More: Oh? And when the last law was down, and the Devil turned 'round on you, where would you hide, Roper, the laws all being flat? This country is planted thick with laws, from coast to coast, Man's laws, not God's! And if you cut them down, and you're just the man to do it, do you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then? Yes, I'd give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety's sake!

There goes those men with their men talk.

My guess is that for those who are not already 100% committed to one side, Blasey Ford's demands are going to be off-putting; they are ridiculous and certainly make this look more and more like an orchestrated delay. I mentioned the other day about their only being like 2 photos of Blasey Ford out there (not that I care). It really does look like she planned for this whole thing and wiped stuff from social media ahead of time. Note how she has asked not to be put under oath. The first question I would ask her - please name everyone you discussed your allegation with in the XX weeks between sending it and the publication that the letter existed. I wonder if she has been coordinating the whole thing with Dems for weeks. Which would make the whole DiFi excuse for the delayed release a bald faced lie.

From Allahpundit at another site:
"The case against Kavanaugh isn’t based on the idea that women are always truthful and men are always liars. It’s based on the idea that all #MeToo victims who were railroaded in the past on their own sexual-assault claims deserve “rough justice” by, coincidentally and conveniently, the public destruction of one of the left’s political enemies, a “patriarch” right out of central casting."

So, it's not really that they want to "fuck" the system. They want to throw it away but also keep it if it serves their purpose.

This is two different styles of law.

Proof you are a member of a group who can accuse and the other is a member of a group who can be accused is all the evidence of guilt required. The Gramscian Constitution. Under this standard would Emmett Till be guilty? Under this standard were those convicted in the Salem witch trials guilty? Under this standard can any man escape conviction when accused by any woman of anything, anytime, anywhere?

That's the old "Bad Boy" heuristic that women want scary, sexy guys around.

It probably is a pheromone thing that testosterone gives off.

Maybe the high risk behavior gene gives off pheromones.

There are other kinds of sensation-seeking that are expressed not through physical action but through the casting off of inhibitions in a social setting (disinhibition), through deviant lifestyles (experience-seeking), and through the pursuit of change for change's sake (boredom susceptibility). This variety of sensation-seeking has been related to such risky activities as smoking, drinking, drugs, unsafe sex, reckless driving and gambling.

Some psychologists have suggested that risk-taking is linked to neuroticism, a personality trait. They see it as an expression of neurotic conflict, a form of acting out or counter-phobic behavior. Our previous research on physical risk-taking refutes such an explanation; it suggests that risk-takers do not expressly exhibit traits of neuroticism or anxiety.

Maybe it's detectable by young girls.

There are a lot of high net worth people right there in Palo Alto with really nice, large, private planes. In fact- it is my thesis that questions about the music might help determine the WHEN more clearly. Teenagers and music go together.

While I was not yet 15 in '82, I feel confident stating that Vera Lynn was most probably not on the stereo at an underage drunken adolescent swimming party. Although if it was "We'll Meet Again" that would be ironic.

I think that's true. The easiest job in the world is to be a safe-seat politician in the minority. You get to promise a bunch of stuff and then blame the other party for not getting any of it done.

Since Trump was elected the Republicans in Congress haven't done any of the things they campaigned on over the years. Because that would involve risk. So they're left trying to pretend a toothless minority is somehow blocking the agenda they really, really want to pass honest cross our hearts.

The sad part is when the reckoning comes it won't touch the people who really need the boot.

The law punishes assault, battery, molestation, rape, and homicide. It should; I'm glad it does.

It doesn't punish those things because they leave permanent psychic scars, though. It punishes them because they violate our persons, and advantage the strong over the weak. It punishes them because they are antisocial; you can't have a harmonious society that allows human flourishing if such acts go unpunished. It punishes them because the only known alternative to public justice is private vendetta, which soon metastasizes into Thomas Hobbes' war of all against all.

Is there something in the Kavanaugh case that deserves punishing? I'd say it's highly unlikely, even on the accuser's account. If there is, though, let's prove its existence and punish it. I'm totally on board with that. But please, spare us the vapid psychobabble about "trauma."

I read in Politico that Ed Whalen's troubles have just begun because of his theory that Christine Ford's charges of sexual assault some 35 years ago by Brett Kavanaugh might be simply mistaken identity. Based upon Ford's details, research of Georgetown Prep's students back when, included someone who lived near Chevy Chase CC (part of the Ford tale) and in a actual house with a similar interior layout.

The reasoning goes that Whalen named names so he might be subject to a defamation lawsuit. So dies this mean that if Christine Ford's tale is unprovable (which is very likely true after all these years have passed and named witnesses have no such memories), Kavanaugh can sue for defamation? The press has said nor written nary a word about civil suits. Isn't that strange?
