I could only find 2 things wrong with it: 1. Bad acting (everyone reading their lines sounded like somebody reading lines), and 2. They looked like they were handing out iPads (so distracting!).
But that's not Slate's problem. Slate's problem is that it's framed as nothing but a registration and get-out-the-vote campaign. Slate wants Michelle to get out there in support of Democratic Party candidates:
She’s capable of uncorking a stemwinder when the situation calls for it, as she demonstrated multiple times during the 2016 campaign. She’d be natural on the stump next to a wide range of Democratic candidates, particularly many of the record number of women running for the House this year.As proof that she can uncork a stemwinder — stupid mixed metaphor — Slate links to Michelle's speech at the Democratic National Convention in 2016.
And when [Hillary] didn't win the nomination eight years ago, she didn't get angry or disillusioned. Hillary did not pack up and go home, because as a true public servant Hillary knows that this is so much bigger than her own desires and disappointments.... What I admire most about Hillary is that she... never takes the easy way out. And Hillary Clinton has never quit on anything in her life....

Should work about as well as her efforts against Bolo Haram.
Hillary Clinton, true public servant. Hahahahahahaha!
I go to the local farmer's market every weds evening for dinner. 4 people with clip boards asked me if i was registered to vote. By clip board #4, as I was sitting there eating, I got a little snippy.
The left would register house plants to vote if they could. Illegal entrants will do.
You can register to vote through some guy or gal on the street with a tablet? I don't see anyone showing any ID.
Doesn't appear to be any control at all in who is registered.
The voting system in the upper 50 is totally fucked.
I think the Repos should run the bejabbers out of this add as an example of how easy it is to cheat.

And Hillary Clinton has never quit on anything in her life....
...certainly not the drinking.
I want my Obama iPad, to go with my Obamaphone.
"to see if I could figure out what's so unwanted about Michelle's effort"
Michelle
Allow illegals to vote.
That'll stop foreign interference.
#Democrats-B-Crazy.
Hillary-Stoke 2020. Vampire teeth, lies, arrogance, money grubbing and private servers OKed by the top brass at the FBI, at your service.
wow! her lame ass husband was only giving us free phones; but Moochele is giving us FREE TABLETS!! She Rocks!
It's funny when she says: "we need EVERY American to vote" when she means:
"We need EVERY Democrat to vote"
I doubt that Moochele would be Too Upset if *I* went fishing and forgot to vote
Getting out the vote is the #1 election priority. Trump knew that in the Rust Belt and LBJ learned in the hard way in pre-War Texas.
Texas United States Senate special election, 1941:[1]
W. Lee O'Daniel (D) - 175,590 (30.49%)
Lyndon B. Johnson (D) - 174,279 (30.26%)
Those fuckers get $400k for life. Why can't they move to the Congo and help those poor fuckers out. No, instead they have to build a monument in Chicago.
A monument that no one in their right mind would park their car near.
Why would they want voters too unmotivated to register; do they think they will be more motivated to vote?
What ever happened to #bringbackourgirls? That accomplished a great deal.
I admire that Clintonian determination too, Michelle! Don't quit now, Hillary. #MeToo will be long gone when it's time to campaign. Go for it!
san fran is (apparently) spending $37,000 per homeless person; which isn't fixing their problem Fox News
why don't they try PAYING the $37,000 to the homeless to go live in North Dakota?
Soon, North Dakota would be voting Democratic too!

What LBJ really learned from the election was that it was getting the count right, not getting out the vote.
I believe that this was a primary too, wasn't it?

Hillary will never quit trying to line her pockets even more lavishly.
What Slate doesn't understand is that every time Michelle Obama says something they really like the Democratic Party loses more votes than they gain.
And Hillary Clinton has never quit on anything in her life....
'cept drinkin'
How will our voters know what to do if Michelle Obama isn't out there telling them?
The left is an endless appeal to authority.
The herd doesn't know what to do if the sheepdogs aren't barking.
It is possible voting processes in the future will be less prone to corrupting influences. Improbable, but possible.
She'll have to go some to top what I consider her ultimate moment: that Eva Peron-like speech she made before her husband, Il Dufe, got elected the first time: "Barack Obama will not let you go on with your regular lives . . . ." or something creepy like that.
And when [Hillary] didn't win the nomination eight years ago, she didn't get angry or disillusioned. (you have to read this in annoying Stuttering Preacher Style to get the full effect)
This woman is particularly fond of the nauseating gimmick of passing off raw ambition for power as a noble pursuit of humble service. Often she has patted herself on the back for giving up a high-paying career to be the wife of the Most Powerful Man in the World.
Go away, Michelle, please. Just go away. And take Barack with you.
It's very easy to vote. You register to vote, and then you show up to vote on election day, mostly in November. In many states, you can mail in your absentee ballots. Yay!
The Left is infantile. Their people don't vote. They have to be pushed to vote, cajoled to vote, prodded to vote. It's pathetic. Are these citizen adults or citizen children?
If you need a celebrity to convince you to vote, it's probably a good thing that you don't vote.
I would support a television campaign suggesting that stupid folks not vote.
Slate wants Michelle to get out there in support of Democratic Party candidates:
I do, too.
Everybody likes a hectoring scold telling them what to do.
do they think they will be more motivated to vote?
The first Tuesday in November is always a payday!

More stem-winders like this, please!
"didn't get angry and disillusioned" But, but "what happened"?
"did not pack up and go home" True, dat. The Clintons never leave.
"as a true public servant" Every stem-winder needs a light moment.
"this is so much bigger than her own desires" True, dat. She had a whole posse to provide for, and a whole swamp to cover for. Big reason for prog TDS since '16.
"never takes the easy way out" And we are thankful that she tried to win without campaigning in Wisconsin and by spurning the deplorables in MI and PA.
"has never quit on anything" Not on her own sense of entitlement, certainly. But when will Dems quit on her for real?
"Rock The Vote" has acquired a well-earned reputation as a partisan organization so they spawned "When We All Vote" as a new vehicle without all the reputational baggage.
Same people, same purpose - electing Democrats.
I wonder if the reason for not saying vote Democrat has to do with election laws?
As long as it is just a generic get out the vote promotion, they can pretty much take all the money they want from pretty much wnayone anywhere.
If it gets specific eg; "Vote Democrat!", reporting laws and regulations apply.
I think. The more I study election laws, the less I understand them.
John Henry
I think these people are all illegal aliens from Earth II, you know, that alternate Bizarro Earth where Cankles is POTUS.
why don't they try PAYING the $37,000 to the homeless to go live in North Dakota?
Because when the temperature drops to 40 degrees, and the former-Californian homeless see the North Dakotans aren't wearing jackets yet, they'll ask "why?"
When the answer is "because it's plus 40, not minus 40", they'll all start walking back to California.
I believe that the best description of the video is "hokey".
Look for a major, major effort to register illegal aliens to vote in WI, PA, NC and MI.
You just need a driver's license or state ID and then swear you are a US citizen.
This is how the Dems hope to defeat Trump.
why don't they try PAYING the $37,000 to the homeless to go live in North Dakota?
They did. Then Keystone was completed and now they're back home.
"For the People!" Wait, what happened to "For the Children"?

Well, Barack and Michelle did a pretty job on NetFlix. Down 14% since they signed to do their whatever it is.
Netflix is paying the Obamas to create content. I have always felt that this is an excellent idea, because either the content will be good (artistically or financially) and Netflix will gain in money and prestige or it will be bad, and Netflix will lose money and prestige. That is how show business works.
This content does not change my notion of the likeliest outcome.
By the way, I remember when my generation was being flattered with this "change the world" bit. We didn't live up the hype I guess.
We are the ones we were waiting for, but we stood us up.
"And when [Hillary] didn't win the nomination eight years ago, she didn't get angry or disillusioned. The thing that makes me smile about this is that Hillary still hasn't packed up and gone home. And if she had had the good sense to quit Bill Clinton 18 years ago, she might be president today. It amuses me to think she knows this is true.
I can't wait to see how LLR Chuck transfers the "magnificence" he attributed to barack onto Michelle in time for the midterms.
It will be interesting to watch.
Two-eyed Jack: "Netflix is paying the Obamas to create content"
Not really.
I mean, content will be created. With the help of large staffs and for which barack and Michelle can just sort of "show up" (just like Michelle's pre-White House hospital "job") and get paid very very well.
It's really just a politically inspired cash infusion from like-minded lefties with the ability to do so.
Michelle Obama: Hi everyone, we have a new slogan. "When We ALL Vote!
Hillary Clinton: (pulls out a gun) ANYONE OF YOU FUCKING PRICKS DON'T VOTE AND I'LL EXECUTE EVERY LAST FUCKING ONE OF YOU!
"And when [Hillary] didn't win the nomination eight years ago, she didn't get angry or disillusioned.
She was too incredulous to emote.
Hillary did not pack up and go home,
She couldn't. Bill was probably there with some bimbo and that was the last thing either one of them needed.
because as a true public servant Hillary knows that this is so much bigger than her own desires and disappointments...
Hillary has always fought for the rights of all women. All non-deplorable women. All non-deplorable women named Hillary. Clinton. With a C. And who live at her house.
What I admire most about Hillary is that she... never takes the easy way out.
Rigging the DNC to kill off Bernie was actually much more difficult than simply running a better campaign.
And Hillary Clinton has never quit on anything in her life...."
Until the bottle is completely empty. Then she chucks that thing right over the neighbor's fence.
Drago,
I know that the Obama touch on this will be "light," but if the content is good, it will be good. But, as William Goldman said: “Nobody knows anything...... Not one person in the entire motion picture field knows for a certainty what's going to work. Every time out it's a guess and, if you're lucky, an educated one.”
So good luck to whoever does the actual work! If they are lucky, the shows might be watchable. (Ever watch "13th"? Yah.)
Dems are under the illusion that all the people who don’t vote are Dems, so GOTV amounts to get out the Dem vote. That’s why when they lose they always talk about how many didn’t vote.
Nobody involved in the production of this video noticed that they unfurled that flag the wrong way.

You'd think that they'd hire an American continuity coordinator for things like this?
someone to say: "Hey Barry when the Americans hear their National Anthem; they don't like people to hold onto their nutsack".
someone to say: "Hey, it turns out that there are Rules for the flag, and it will irritate Americans to ignore them"
I'm sure there is an out of work RINO polster that they could hire. I'm not suggesting that these things should matter to the Dems; i'm saying that they should realize that they matter to Other people; people whose vote might be swayed by these actions
It's hard to imagine a life so bereft of meaning and motivation that such a person would look to Hillary for inspiration. Is this some kind of elaborate put on? A kind of reverse Handmaiden's Tale?
They got the first flag hung right. Maybe someone else did it.
Do McGraw/Hill have a political stance?
The Obamas don't have great record of campaigning for people who win. I'd have to assume that's why they are campaigning for mundane things that won't hurt their reputation.
Look for a major, major effort to register illegal aliens to vote in WI, PA, NC and MI.
Rumor is they pretty much milked that one dry last time around. Sadly for them it wasn’t enough...
They Libs are afraid of losing the blacks
the elite libs don't know how to talk to them
(look how Sanders flopped/flops in the black states)
Losing them to Trump, of all people!!!!!!!!!!!!
Billionaires are the devil, Wall Street is living high on the 1%...
Yet here is a billionaire associated with an employment boom
and open to "judicial reform"
who more of the blacks admire than they'd "like to have"
(everyone admires a winner, and the media makes him and underdog and a winner at the same time!)
All this brings back their totem,
"Proud for the first time" Michelle
A super privileged lawyer on a free ride to the top
gifted fawning press - she is the black Jackie O!
and victim of racism
for being asked to put something on the high shelf at Target
She is black and a woman, a two-fer on the interstitial score card
she can talk about the pain of being forced to buy $4 coffee
to use the bathroom at a cafe
Selma! Selma!
> (look how Sanders flopped/flops in the black states)
Maybe he was too white
He looks Like one of the foils for Eddie Murphy in Beverly Hills cop
(Axel F theme was sure great! dah dah dah-dah-dah-dah-dah)
and the "future of the party" Millennial girl can carry the "you owe us" message back to prominence
She is kinda the same color, they like Puerto Ricans better? Just need the right face to win the midterms with:
"It just ain't right anyone wants for anything"
I have a feeling that that was not a very compelling ad and that makes me think that the Netflix content won't be good TV. The ad might sound good if you hadn't seen it and it was being discussed on NPR by political junkies. But I only watched it all the way through because I, too, am a political junky and I want to see what the other side is doing. The other side was being boring and out-of-touch, I felt. To name just one problem - the ad uses celebrities as if there has never been a MeToo movement but when celebrities start blathering about politics I remember Weinstein and all the others and ... well, let's just say I think using celebrities is a tone-deaf move. And the TV series will probably be the same - devoid of action, humor or satire, numbingly boring and ... dated. After all, the Obamas have been jetting about from vacation spot to vacation spot, having fun, while the Democrats reeled, the Republicans gloated and everyone got ready to throw drinks or have them thrown. Then they come back and speak real sincerely (bless their hearts) from some civility perch far above the crash-derby held in a shark tank followed by mud-wrestling Idatarod endurance contest going on below. People will listen, "yes, Mom" but not really attend, I feel. But maybe I'm the one out of touch.
Slate seems like its full of people policing themselves and each other after the heat of 'liberation' and righteous upper middle class zeal cools down. The logic inherent in the games they've been playing remains.
They're supposed to be creative, but I'm guessing if you break the simplistic, unspoken rules for clickbait and party line toeing, and you're probably ostracizied.
Sad!
I doubt there's a pair of testicles anywhere near the building.
***Chuch, have you thought about writing for Slate?
Hey Michelle!
I registered and voted for Republicans.
We can change the world!
Hillary Clinton will never be President of the United States.
Now we have to stop the rest of Soros' chosen.
The future demands it!
Geez Louise. I can imagine the dynamic duo of Moochie and Hillary on a campaign platform in 200--with Michelle there to "give her a boost". That will sure turbocharge my vote in 2020. Two reasons not to vote for Hillary! You girls go!
Hillary never quits, she should though.
And if she had had the good sense to quit Bill Clinton 18 years ago, she might be president today. It amuses me to think she knows this is true.
Hell, Yancey, if she’d merely listened to the guy’s advice at any time in the first ten months of 2016 she’d almost certainly be President today. I still can’t get over the fact that she touted the War on Coal in southern West Virginia. Her husband would have told the miners that he “feels their pain,”and then made a bunch of vague promises that no one could pin him down on — and which he would have forgotten ten minutes after starting back towards the airport — but he’d have come away with enough votes to carry the state.
Hillary Clinton will never be President of the United States.
The chance exists rightup until we are listening to her eulogy. Keeps up at night (like tonight).
I, most strongly, recommend a FORENSIC audit of her over-sized operations while in the White House.
Based on recent news, that must NOT be done by the FBI. Perhaps, the Treasury Department's fraud unit should execute that investigation.
How can we miss them if they won't go away?
Maybe Chris Paul could work a little harder on getting to The Finals, which he never does.

You're not leading them enough. Well, in H's case, probably too much.
Or that Chinaman is running them cheap shells in on you again.
Unless you gonna say the sun was in your eyes. That is to say, your eye.
