I suppose that decor was considered somewhat stylish (in a fairly cheap way) back in the mid-sixties, but it seems like the last sort of thing that would appeal to Lady Bird Johnson. Go figure.
I don't know what I clicked on earlier, but I just got an ad for pontoon lifts (whatever they are) and another for an online program to become an auctioneer. Heh.
“San Francisco Giants first baseman Brandon Belt set a Major League Baseball record Sunday when he battled out a 21-pitch at-bat against Los Angeles Angels rookie right-hander Jaime Barria.
Belt fouled off 16 two-strike pitches before lining out to Angels right fielder Kole Calhoun. The at-bat lasted 12 minutes and 45 seconds. It was the most pitches in an at-bat since records began in 1988.”
you all are crazy. That office rocks. Modern was the last time anyone did anything original with furniture and decor. Everything since then is derivative and just flat out ugly
I used to slow down for turbulence to soften it out but I think the stall speed is so close to cruise speed at great heights that that's not an option.
Thinking about the office chairs: That type is impossible to slide without casters. When you sat in her visitor chair, you stayed put. Intimidating as hell.
"As a current member of the PSU community, I believe that this is really a move for Penn State to push students towards their own Adventure Recreation office, which charges students money for trips that the clubs organized for free."
(from the comments.) So possibly another story of Higher Ed. rapacity and greed, being disguised as hypertrophied concern for the little snowflakes.

Not a fan of couch pillows. As I sit down, I give them a toss. I think their only purpose is for taking a nap.
