The Norwegian outlet prints the story with some great quotes. Internet blows up, over "Trump," obviously. Pettersen tries to walk back the quotes, and at one point Tweeted it was "fake news."
The Norwegian reporters stand by the story and all of the quotes, saying that they always record all of their interviews, and this was no exception.

There is no doubt McCabe knows where lots and lots of bodies are buried, so to speak.
He is making it clear, using the very real leverage he has, that if he goes down he won't be the only one.
This makes the FBI/DOJ pushback on the memo perfectly reasonable.
Wray and Rosenstein probably want to clean this ugly mess up that obama and his minions created. But if too much info becomes public the cat might get too far out of the bag.
Think of it from Wray's perspective. He needs to get rid of all the problematic people, but he can't make it too obvious since that would expose the extent of the problem, hence McCabe and others are demoted, reassigned, etc., but allowed to simply stick around until they can quietly leave.
Wray doesn't want the FBI exposed for what it did, but it does have to be dealt with severely internally.
This memo is the beginning of blowing that plan up and if it does, how do Wray and Rosenstein contain it?

Democrats are going to get a shellacking in the midterms unless something major happens. If job creation remains steady, wages keep slowly rising, unemployment keeps dropping, and the stock market continues it's epic climb, 2018 is going to be an odds-defying year that sees the party in power gain seats in Congress. We all knew the Senate was probably a lost cause for the D's, given the seats up for election, but the House should remain solidly Republican and I'm betting some state races will begin to swing GOP as well.
And most people haven't even gotten their first Trumpian Tax Cut paychecks yet. When they do, I wonder how they'll feel about those extra "crumbs" (Pelosi's word, not mine). My first one might come tomorrow, and I can't wait.
Got some more stocks picked out, in case that extra sugar is in there.

We love the place. Meade bought a broom there today.
Across the street is a grwat bakery and a cool bike shop attached to a nice cafe where they don’t mind if you bring in pastries from the bakery to eat eith your coffee. We love this corner of Madison so much we drive across town to go there 2 or 3 times a week.

Off the never disappointing topic of Abby Someone's latest lesion-induced outburst (spending all that time afloat in formaldehyde can be problematic) and on to that marvelous pressed tin ceiling. In my hometown, there was a hardware store with just such a ceiling. The store was one of those Victorian/Edwardian things that tended to be quite narrow across the front but quite deep and often on two or more levels high. (Apparently many municipalities going back to Medieval times assessed based on linear frontage, therefore tall and narrow architecture was most cost-effective.) It had a lower level for the bulky things, a balustraded gallery above for the little things, a squeaky wooden floor below, and a pressed tin ceiling above with cherubs and nymphs and prancing satyrs doing stuff around the light fixtures. I loved that store. If you needed a lock washer an elderly gent in a Pendleton shirt would retrieve you a lock washer from within its little drawer and sell you that lock washer and place it in a little paper sack all correct and proper. They sold nails by the pound and millwork by the board-foot. They had a second location behind the Main Street storefront that sold the really hefty stuff — structural steel, concrete mix — that would normally be loaded directly on to your truck. How they stayed competitive against the chain stores like Tru-Value throughout my childhood is a mystery, but they did — one neatly-bagged-guaranteed-to-fit-lock-washer at a time. Fortunately, when they finally closed for good the storefront was quickly repurposed as an art and frame shop. It still has the gallery and the squeaky floor and the tin ceiling. The backside building where heavy, clanky, dusty stuff was dispensed was remodeled into a swanky law office. Now there's much less steel there but perhaps quite a bit more steal.

Had an old hardware store in Pleasanton, CA that looked like your place in the picture. It had a huge wall of small drawers full of hardware and other stuff. I bought my first hunting license there along with some .22 ammo. Up the ladder they went, opened up one of many drawers and brought it down. Then then proceeded to dump the loose cartridges on a scale until I said when.

I don't know what solution would work for Meadehouse. But, now there are all sorts of new tech options that are easy and cheap to add to any house. BTW, in one of my places I've had a home automation programmer plugging away for more than three weeks (and counting) as he writes the control systems for the house. But I could probably get 80% (not including the window coverings (both int and ext for all windows) of the stuff we'll actually use by picking up one of the over the counter speaker things w' associated wifi peripherals (i.e. no wiring needed) that you talk to.
