And when you're a star they let you do it — you can do anything — and they can tell an eagerly listening world exactly what you were like.

People want access to the star, as Donald Trump famously observed: He's automatically attracted to beautiful women — like a magnet.... And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. They let you do it. You can do anything... Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything.

That's the up side of being a star: You're attracted to somebody beautiful and she lets you have her body.

But the downside is that, because you're a star, if she ever has an inclination to tell the story of what sex was like with you, everybody wants to hear it. The media will publish all the details, down to the awkwardness of your "claw" move:
She says Ansari began making a move on her that he repeated during their encounter. “The move he kept doing was taking his two fingers in a V-shape and putting them in my mouth, in my throat to wet his fingers, because the moment he’d stick his fingers in my throat he’d go straight for my vagina and try to finger me.” Grace called the move “the claw.”
Little, private things that weren't even the slightest bit abusive will be splashed on the front page of The Daily Mail. She says that you said she was "beautiful and smart just like his daughter," and the world will react with horror as if you'd called her by your daughter's name while you were having sex. She says that you had intercourse in the "textbook generic... one position" that people "would expect someone [your] age to do," and people will laugh derisively, just as they would have laughed if you done something less usual, such as having her urinate in the bed.

You're a star, and you can do anything... and anything can be done to you.

"At one point, Stormy told In Touch, she excused herself to go to the bathroom. “When I came out, he was sitting on the bed and he was like, ‘Come here.’ And I was like, ‘Ugh, here we go.’ And we started kissing.” ...

"Ugh here we go?" If she wasn't interested in Trump, she could have said so and excused herself.. If I'm thinking "Ugh here we go" I'd push the guy away and say - no thank you, and not proceed to sex.

I agree with Fabi. I don't buy this story about Trump. It is not that I am blind. I think he would and has cheated (though maybe not on Melania), but I don't see him dallying with a porn star. In Touch
9% Cover Accuracy, 21% Overall Accuracy

A significant drop in accuracy accompanies us to the third-place magazine on our list. In Touch correctly reported Avril Lavigne's split from Derrick Whimbley and was the first to report on Heidi Klum's most recent pregnancy. But with the magazine relying heavily on Brangelina rumors (almost all of which turned out to be untrue)—and with 19 incorrectly reported pregnancies (Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Eva Longoria) over the 20 months—In Touch's batting average took a hit.

She felt betrayed and, perhaps, rightfully so. How hard is it to be Aziz Ansari. We're not talking about Cary Grant or John Wayne. Those guys had a public persona that was almost impossible to match in private life. But all Aziz had to do was make a few self deprecating jokes and he was over. My sympathies are with the woman, although I don't know if Aziz deserves having his crassness shared with the world.......I'd just like to take this opportunity to commend Jennifer Aniston. I think if the woman is being inauthentic and accepting things as if she should like them, she's depriving him of feedback, and he may think something is a good idea and keep doing it, while she's lost in hiding that she thinks it's awful. He's hurting her, but she is also hurting him.

I'm afraid people get the self-image that they are supposed to be enthusiastic about sex, just love sex, like actors in movies look like they love sex, and they don't even know what they really feel until afterward, when they are also affected by the way the other person isn't interested in them in any deeper way.

Then the rejection of the various techniques can be overwhelming, and it merges with a desire for revenge. And now, at last, you really do feel something.

1. I don't even know if the story is true.

2. If the story is true, I still don't know if he is "cheating" on his wife. I don't know the intimate facts of their relationship. People have all kinds of arrangements, and a beautiful woman married to a rich, older man may want him to be with someone else and to have corresponding freedoms for herself. Perhaps she is a lesbian or an asexual and enjoys a role that you are not creative or free enough to begin to think about.

3. Stormy Daniels is a real person, and if she's made a living doing films with sexual content, that may well have been the free choice of an intelligent, empowered woman. Who are you to impugn her? You don't know her.

4. You're just voyeuristically imagining looking in on Daniels and Trump and Melania for the purpose of feeling more hate toward Trump you already hate. That puts you in a low place.

So guys, the women know all and that is why you need to get married; a spy among the hens is a necessity.

Okay. I researched. An editor of Slate claims to have seen a "draft" of the NDA, but never the executed document, as "Stormy" has not responded since and now claims none of this is true. "Stormy" also apparently gave an interview to InTouch in 2011.

Those are the facts. By the way, I can manufacture a "draft" NDA easily, but whatever.

I'd like to see the executed NDA. If it exists, point me to it. Or a record of payment to "Stormy" which links her to Trump. Otherwise this is hearsay. Not fact.

Beloved Commenter AReasonableMan said...

This is the game theory analysis of the existence of the NDA, from HotAir:

5. The In Touch story all but proves that Clifford is currently under an NDA despite her denial last week, no? If she isn’t then she has no reason not to capitalize on the buzz over the story and sit down to share juicy details with other media, either for money or to raise her public profile so that she can cash in in other ways. She was willing to talk to the press about the affair before, on the record, knowing that Trump is married and had children with another on the way. If she was willing then, logically she’d be even more willing now with a much brighter spotlight waiting for her. And yet, last week, she rushed out a statement to the media insisting that she and Trump never had a relationship. Why say that now when she’d spoken to In Touch years earlier and to reporters like Jacob Weisberg of Slate as recently as 2016? Is there any explanation except “NDA”?

Darcy said...

ARM,
My views have not changed. The Democrats who gave safe harbor to Bill C were half right: sex is a private matter of no concern to some of us. But they were terribly wrong on the other half. All of Bill's "women" were employees or subordinates of some kind with an economic interest. They did not choose freely. At the very least subtle pressure. And even if they did not consider themselves victims other co-workers who lost out on promotions and status upgrades were victims. They lost out to corruption, not by merit. The French of all people had it right when they considered consensual adult sex between a workplace superior and subordinate to be felony rape. Sex with your maid is out.
If Democrats had acted honorably in the Clinton years the Lauer, Weinstein, et al issues might have been minimized.
But Stormy Daniels or affairs with non employees or people submitting to celebrities for the thrill are not relevant to me.

If it is an act of involuntary or superior exploitation, then it transcends the private domain, and invites public scrutiny. Was there an abortion rite? No acceptable male human being would do this to an ordinary woman. No ordinary healthy woman wants this done to her. Maybe you could wash that, like, she swallowed poison and he is trying to save her life, but otherwise...

Say, what ever happened to James Toranto? He used to be quoted here quite frequently. Is he still alive?

I just hope there are no pizza-eating, thong-snapping interns lurking in the Oval Office this time around.

James Taranto became an editor at WSJ instead of a writer. Too bad; he was one bright spot in a paper that is slowly going down the tubes. There used to be a bunch of editors who kept tight rein on the writers and ensuring they knew the difference between fact and opinion, which was especially important because WSJ writers are among the leftist of the left according to a survey that was done. Which just shows the importance of good editing, as without that survey, I was unable to tell just from their writings how they leaned. For the past couple of years, that hasn't been true, which I can only attribute to the change in the editorial staff (which predates Taranto's promotion.) Sad, indeed.

Rex, you are correct; sad indeed because we need his insights now more than his editing.

The one subject he stressed before he left the fray was the sociological issue of Too Many Women. Given the current era of sexual repression, it would be wonderful to read his insights.

“You are SO not getting this. "The Claw," I do not know if that is the actual AVN trade name, is a gonzo porn trope.”

1. Urban Dictionary has no definition of “claw” that relates to the mouth.

See 2 below.

2. I believe the term was the woman’s own coinage as she described it.

No doubt.

3. What you’re describing is so painful that she would have actively resisted or vomited.

Would you like me to post a link? NSFW.

4. You’re anatomically off to say “esophagus.” Look at a diagram.

Depends on the length of his fingers. Do you prefer "pharynx?"

Also it's not painful, but extremely unpleasant and uncomfortable. But a trained person can endure it. And with buildup, increased exposure, deeper probes every time, one can be trained.

Dear Althouse:

Watch this if you dare (substitute "a" for each "@" in the URL). The first 38 seconds of this are theoretically work safe, no nudity, just hands:

https://m.xh@mster.com/videos/extreme-g@gging-teen-lesson-3591330

Then perhaps you should pour gasoline over your computer and light a match.

But if you keep watching, around 4:20 you will see the mucus I was referring to. More at about 5:30 and 5:38.

She never resists past occasionally wriggling or putting her hands on his hips to check or perhaps guide or synchronize him. She gags but does not vomit. Sometimes, when her performance seems inadequate to him, he does the claw again, perhaps to open her up better.

This is an amateur video. She has not been visibly coerced and I doubt she has been paid, if so it would have been a trivial amount - I believe this is Russian.

Please watch this and tell me that I was anatomically off, Miss Mather.

If you try really hard, you may be able to construe this as empowering for women, demonstrating their endurance and ability to tolerate the intolerable when sufficiently motivated (watch the last ten seconds for her facial expressions). Perhaps that's what Grace thought: she could take it.

Some of the comments say it was too soft-"no faceslapping" was one. There's plenty more like this out there, some is far, far worse.
