"New Clinton Memoir: ‘We All Made Mistakes But You Made Most Of Them.'"

"'I’m not suggesting it’s entirely your fault, but, let’s be frank, 99 percent of it is,' read one passage from the chapter entitled 'Seriously, What Were You Thinking?' in which the former candidate conceded missteps she had made over the course of her campaign while also clarifying that none of them should have produced the final election outcome, which she characterized as 'squarely on you fucking people.'"

The memoir should end in a question mark rather than a period.

The all time "what were they thinking?" award should go to the Democrat Party.

Why did they nominate a 70 y/o unlikable charmless elitist with a track record of corruption, lies, and incompetence?

She was the best they could come up with? Really?

RC - yes.
The democrats will probably run her up the flagpole again in 2020.
Because she persisted. She must be crammed down our throats.

Can I state that I knew that was the Onion before clicking?

Still funny - because there is a grain (maybe many grains) of truth in it. You know she blames all the voters for not annointing her.

@DickinBimbos,

The democrats have a corruption problem. It starts with Hillary. The D-blindfaithful still refuse to acknowledge.

And the saddest thing is, they're the folks who preach about systemic injustice, yet consider what we see as corruption to simply be takin' care of business. The forced removal by taxation of the constituents pockets to feed the hungry maws of their political cronies is not corruption; it's just how things are done.

Liberals use ever increasing flows of cash to their cronies as a way of hoping that the hard & politically dangerous work of beating them into shape can be avoided. It never works.

If come 2020 Hillary is still able to breath without the aid of a machine, expect Harris to pull a Vance Foster.

Hillary #persist

While I knew the quote was from The Onion, the bald truth is that it is exactly what Hillary! thinks, and it is why she isn't president today.

It is a tough job for the Onion to come up with parody and satire when talking about democrats. Especially Clinton.

Who doesn't think Hillary has said this at least 100 times in her drunken rants since November? She was drunk and ranting at her staff. I would bet a lot that Hillary believes in her dark heart every word of that parody.

clint said...

If she does run again... someone needs to get a bumper sticker:

Hillary 2044 -- Nevertheless, She Persisted

With a photoshopped zombie version of Hillary.

Point proven.

You can't make a good parody of a reality this stupid.

I said to my democrat friends before and post election that Hillary was a politician with a history of skirting the rules, supported by a corrupt DNC that was shown to have worked against the will of the people to promote Hillary and suppress Bernie...

And that voting for such open corruption only encourages it and makes it very hard to get rid of, while voting for Trump will only hurt the GOP and would be easy to vote out in 4 years.

Apparently, enough of the electorate agreed with me.

The Onion usually takes it pretty easy on liberals. They had fun with Biden, but it was always goofy fun and not their standard (and brilliant) brand of satire unleashed on a lot of conservatives. If she's lost The Onion...

Running a woman up the flagpole sounds like metaphorical sexual assault. It would be more genderly appropriate to say she has in in the bag.

I dunno; that sounds like authentic Hillaryspeak to me. And you know, I'll vote against the Hildebeest again if she runs. But living in California, as I do, means a vote for anybody but a Democrat has as much value as a popcorn poot in a windstorm. It simply d o e s n t count.

I don't think the Dems even had to cheat to give Hillary a four million vote margin in California. I live in the land of the political fruits and nuts.

We made mistakes by not electing you?!!?

Richard Dolan said...

It's in the Onion and intended as satire, but it's also exactly what Hillary! thinks. And not just Hillary! -- pretty much all the talking heads, lefties and righties both, think the voters seriously screwed up. The votes who elected Trump, and will probably elect him again, don't seem to share that view, since they were never voting for Trump as much as they were voting against everything the not-Trump alternative was about.

This! A thousand time this! As others have said (and I myself on occasions), we did NOT vote for Trump, we voted AGAINST Hillary. A large segment of the country demonstrates how we were right on almost a daily basis. The thing is, they not only show us we made the right choice but the also expend a lot of energy turning us from "not Hillary" people to "hell yes, Trump!" people.

I would have voted for Bernie. I threw up in my throat a little when I voted for Trump, but the thought of voting for Hillary by not voting against her in an effective way made my skin crawl.

If Bernie were president, it would be pretty entertaining too.

I would rather own Hillary's loss than own nominating the corrupt war-monger in the first place. I still wake up most mornings glad that Hillary lost. Other mornings I forget to be glad she lost until I encounter the first "liberal."
