At the Google Grab Café...

hair dressers

... you can join me in Dubai.

I chose Dubai as a place to (virtually) visit, because it came up in today's blogging.

You can talk about anything you want.

Please consider shopping through The Althouse Amazon Portal, including, perhaps, buying the book that's influencing me, "How to Talk About Places You've Never Been: On the Importance of Armchair Travel."

They stay on through the night.
They say they're here to comment

Some say that they're progressive
Some say they're on the right.
They think they're better people
They think they see the light.

The greater fools engage them
They play the wicked game.
They think they're better people
They're really all the same.

Ann calls from the window
I'm going to the lake.

I've been to Dubai and spent some time in the Gulf. I bet the shop displayed there is run by a South Asian person, probably Indian (from the southern Indian state of Kerala) or Pakistani, as is the case with most small businesses there... Manu seems like an Indian name, so Manu Tex probably stands for "Manu Textiles".

I know there's an almost 500 comment post on this topic but I'm hoping for a saner perspective. Can someone please explain to me why Trump talking about Mika bleeding from a face lift is such a big deal? I'm at a loss as to why this is blowing up. He's said much worse before.

Greta is out @MSNBC. Maybe going from Fox News to MSLSD is not a wise career move. OBGyn Kelly could be on the same downward spiral.

Kelly could always join Mika in the AM for a reunion of the bloodied ones.

Birches, best I can tell, the Left is upset that Trump outed Mike as being two-faced and fake.

I *think* they are also taking his remark about her "bleeding from the scalp" as a metaphor for menstrual bleeding, so they can pretend his remarks are sexist. But who knows with these people.

I've asked them for specifics, but all I get back are variants of "no true Scotsman would deny the obvious" nonsense.

Good luck.

Mika not Mike.

The outrage could also be displacement at watching as their fake Russia narrative implode. Recent news indicates the whole thing was a Hillary-directed op, and she has made them look foolish. Their own candidate played them for suckers.

So maybe their out of proportion outrage is projection, venting at Trump instead of facing themselves in the mirror.

Bircb, now that I think about it, if Joe had just had work done, and Trump had said Joe was bleeding from a facelift, this wouldn't have been dialed up to 11.

So definitely some White Knighting going on. With the usual Feminist Victim angle that infantilizes Mika.

The MSM is hilarious:

“How dare Trump attack the Press- after we’ve called him “a corrupt, crazy, treasonous, mentally ill, sexist, racist, bigot, hompohobic, cocksucker Hitler with small hands, that someone should shoot or behead”.

That’s undignified!

Yeah, neither do It.

Of course, I'm talking about the MSM men. I'm sure Mika was upset about it, 'cause women are the 50% of mankind that stick together.

It was the shows that made the hosts popular. Without the show, they are apparently average.

A travesty and a tragedy. But how many fathers every year go through the same agony because the mother of their child decided to kill it in the womb?

The words cocksucker, Hitler, racist, homophobe, bigot, small hands are nowhere to be found in this Michelle Goldberg column at Slate. She does say"When you’re under pressure, it can be harder to hide your true self. And Trump’s true self is a pig."

I'm recording it to watch with a nice drink later tonight. Based on past reactions, I'm pretty sure any pretense it's a news network rather than a 24-hour personal opinion channel is ending today.

I don't think Joe is going to be able to keep the show "between the guardrails" today.

The crocodile tears are rich.

TMJ claims that the presidency should be above their show(you know those hand jokes Mika makes are just JOKES), yet they're constantly, piously claiming, that their Trump coverage is of vital national importance. So which is it? Is your show a laughable pos or is it serious, erudite?

All the white knighting and self appreciation is fucking ridiculous.

Me too. None of which answers any of the questions about Trump Tweets, Trump lies, or Trump's policy detachment.

I wanted a Justice Gorsuch. I got a Justice Gorsuch. I'd like two more Gorsuches. But if Trump screws things up badly enough to lose the Senate, we won't get another Justice Gorsuch.
