Chuck said...: There is a regular, ongoing slaughter of migratory birds and especially songbirds in Chicago. It's close to/part of the Great Lakes Flyway, and the tall, glassy buildings can be invisible to them at night. Even worse, with interior lights on at dawn and dusk, an attraction. There are maintenance people who will know places at the base of certain big buildings where there is a daily collection of dead birds.
