"What I have been hearing from sources on both sides of the aisle with regard to this FBI situation is that the more likely impact will be on the down-ballot races that some of the races..."

"Some of the races were already, especially on the Senate side, breaking more for Republicans than in the past and that this new is a reminder to people that they may want a check and balance and that that will help."

Said Dana Bash, the CNN chief political correspondent, on "State of the Union" this morning.

That is, those who want to keep Trump out of the White House but who also fear Hillary Clinton might — especially if they think Hillary is going to win — focus on keeping the Congress Republican in order to put a brake on her... or even — more aggressively — to set up an impeachment.

Absolutely! Exceptions, however, must be properly noted. Winston has to remove the names of the Non-persons identified by Donald the Trump - Paul Ryan, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorino, Ben Sasse, the writers at National Review, Megyn Kelly and the list goes on and on. Who would ever question Donald Trump's judgement and impeccable character? How about this for sexy?

Brando said...: Odds are still in favor of the GOP at least holding the House, but the Senate doesn't look good. Assuming the "nuclear option" (and let's face it, Schumer will definitely use it, and often) Hillary will get all appointments through unless they're egregious enough to peel off a few Democratic senators. And she won't have to veto much because a lot will be blocked in the Senate.
