.. easily beating the season’s previous high: the 41st season premiere last month, hosted by Miley Cyrus and with a guest appearance by none other than … Hillary Clinton. In fact, Trump’s overnight rating was 47 percent higher than the Miley/Hillary episode.

"Donald Trump gives SNL its biggest ratings in years."
"According to NBC, SNL had a whopping 6.6 household rating on Saturday night..."

We didn't watch, but have been catching snippets today.
I'm not surprised! :)
Wasn't The Apprentice also on NBC? So, not every NBC executive is a leftist moron - great to see!
Pretty impressive considering that most of Trump's audience doesn't stay up that late.
I am Laslo.
And that is why, regardless of any "protests," they were not going to disinvite him.
Something similar happen with the Palin episode. That episode was the best ratings they had if 14 years.
He Trumped them. And that is why the fake narrative is that he is going to quit since he is all a big joke.
No wonder Trump has to use hourly Twitter giving heads up to all the guest spots he can find. That barely allows Trump to be himself before the GOP buries him under snobby ridicule.
Hey Miley was "twerking" and The Donald was jerking. Guess which people wanted to watch? Little girls need to learn that you can shake your fanny only so many times before folks lose interest.
Mr. Trump is a clown and was properly places on SNL.
Although not as evil as Clown John Wayne Gacy, Donald does NOT have the "Gravitas" as best exampled by George Washington or the honesty shown (eg. In comments about himself) by Harry S. Truman.
I will vote for him if, and only if, that is needed to deny public office to the Uber-Socialist or Criminal who are the Democrats present leaders---And, try not to contaminate my ballot with vomit.
The news feeds led this morning about how bad Trumps was and how the appearance hurt him, how it was a poor decision to agree to do SNL. Of course all of those 'facts'. Didn't have the overnite numbers, so, technically, they weren't really lying. Of course the news leads are still quoting the Politico lies the printed about Carson. Repeating that Carson claimed to have recieved and been admitted to West Point. The Media is not even attempting to be unbiased. The just lie
If indeed SNL's writers let negative feelings about Trump affect their work, they were truly foolish to showcase poor work on a big ratings night. SNL's glory years are far behind them. They can't afford to waste a good ratings night.
All I ask is to let Laslo write ONE episode of SNL.
One episode.
I don't even need Scarlett J to host.
I am Laslo.
YYUUUUUUUGE!!!!
Trump is bringing in a large disaffected group of people that haven't voted for a long long time. People who actually like and want America to be great again. GOPe/Progressives hardest hit.
Trump isn't my first choice. But I am glad he is making sure Rubio/Bush will not be nominated.
It was win-win--Trump got a free 90 minute commercial where no real shots were lobbed at him, SNL got great ratings despite a woefully unfunny episode, and the only losers were those who thought they were tuning in to comedy or political satire. There were a few shots at Carson during Weekend Update, and the opener keeps pushing the "Bernie Sanders is a crazy old man" schtick, all of which keeps attention off Hillary.
This election season is going quite well for the Clintons--everyone is playing their parts so well perhaps even she cannot sink her chances.
I plan to invest in booze and embrace the decline!
The biggest losers here...were the writers. NOBODY was funny, so you can't blame Trump for it.
The writers wrote a terrible show for the largest audience they'll get this season.
