"CARLY, not Carly, Made This Popular Carly Fiorina Video."

"A new video in which Carly Fiorina embraces her age and her gender has drawn wide attention, and was praised by a prominent blogger as one of the best spots of the 2016 race so far. But in a wrinkle fitting this modern campaign age, Ms. Fiorina’s campaign had nothing to do with it."

Was that a persona default that her HP enemies hacked onto her Facebook page?

It's vagina solidarity.

A wrinkle? Sexist!

Great video. She's one hell of a good speaker.

Putting a face [of diversity] on the Republican campaign. It is antithetical to the American cause that we vote for blackface, woman-face, etc. Either Republicans are the American right or they are Democrat-lite.

Well women are in the majority, but they still demand a Congressional minority status so they can get 8(a) Government contracts.

That dress she's wearing is killer.

A super smart and effective response by Carly. She turned a personal attack by Trump against her into an attack on all women. To the extent some GOP women are identity voters, Carly will clean up that demographic. I bet she uses her Lady Justice/ Lady Liberty close in the next debate.

Fiorina is a type of the sexy female that gives orders. Some men lap it up. Real men remain free.

If this was MSM this would be a crack at Carly. Since this is from WSJ it's evidence for the inevitable legal investigation.

She's not hot. That's just reality. I don't find any politician really "hot" (Palin was close, but she's "hot" as compared to the collection of lumpen mesomorphs that are politicians)

But I love her campaign. And hope she does really well because she seems to have great ideas which is why CA rejected her.

Speak for yourself.

I am proud of every wrinkle.

Poor judgement re: sunblock!

Speak for yourself.

You're comparing her to politicians. Hard not to look good there.

Compare her to, you know, attractive people.

She's not there...nor, mind you, does she claim to be at that level.

Why so few women of color in that presentation?

Poor judgement re: sunblock!

I will take a woman who has enjoyed her life and seen a little sunshine, with some wrinkles, over a woman with perfect skin who spent her life under a parasol and worried about the sun incessantly.

Please help me out. Which is it? "Democrat Party" or "Democratic Party"? I know that it is the popular thing right now for Republicans to go with "Democrat Party" rather than "Democratic Party" but that seems needlessly provocative to me.

Jaq said...

but that seems needlessly provocative to me.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
ROTFLMAO
LO MOTHERFUCKING L

God knows that Democratics are never provocative! It goes back the Ronaldus Magnus. He used to do it.

Jaq said...

Besides, they aren't democratic in the sense that they believe in democracy. They believe in the rule of philosopher kings they call judges and then baffle the people with endless propaganda they call "spin."

Sexy Carly time! Loved the farmer girl outfit, like the red dress and heels. Something in leather next?

She is the most polished speaker amongst the contenders and cute as a button.

For me, "hot" involves more than sub-30 year old skin and "ideal" placement of fleshy parts. (Though Carly is in remarkable shape.)

For example, my spouse is older than Ms, F, but scorching... to me.

This is why I want a white male in the white house.

I like that we can make fun of Trumps hair, or Christie's weight. We should be able to mock politicians. We aren't allowed to mock our current President or we are racist. I think it'll be OK to mock Ben Carson, because the left will call him an Oreo and Ben Carson isn't playing that card.

But Fiorina does play the woman card. And that means if her or Hillary get the position, we won't be able to mock them without being misogynistic.

Forget that. Politicians deserve our mockery and need it to remain humble. That even includes their looks.

The way Fiorina brings the microphone down after each statement in that video suggests that she's ready for a fight. Strong gesture.

lgv said...

It was a great response, because it wasn't at Trump directly, but at his words. If you listen to the message itself, it cannot be countered effectively by Trump, either.

I was not a Fiorina fan during her HP days. But, I'd think she would make a better president than Trump or several other candidates. As long as the number of candidates remains huge, Trump keeps the lead. He support will not erode until the lesser candidates fold and the remaining non-Trumpians gain support from those that left the race.

That rule only applies to Democrats. The MSM would show President Fiorina no mercy. For reference, see Rice, Condoleezza or Thomas, Clarence or any other Republican or conservative member of the protected classes.

Quite a contrast to Hillary! Carly would wipe the floor with Ms Clinton. I would love to see it.

Killer ad, Carly is very sharp and real, i think she's got a shot depending on the upcoming debates/.

And, no near-crotch grabbing (as Althouse pointed out a couple weeks ago)!

Yes, I think we should make CF president because Trump's a big meanie and she's a poor little lamb who got insulted.

Repeal the 19th Amendment.

It's not a bad ad. I like Carly's dig at the Democrat Party.

Also, the "gender" gap between the two parties is misleading, bordering on a lie. Ditto the War on Women. There is no gender gap among married women. They tend to be more stable both in family life and earning capacity.

There is a huge voting gap among single women. These tend to be the poorest, particularly if they have kids without Dads. So, of course, they're gonna vote Democrat - they're practically wards of the State. Has almost nothing to do with " women's" issues, though.

I would argue that there are almost no "women's" issues, just issues. This is another factoid of the Left.

Any combination of Fiorina, Cruz, Trump, Carson on the ticket is good.

Kasich, Christie, Rubio, or any of the other losers who tie themselves to donations from the donor class need to go away. The GOP needs to go the way of the whigs if we have any chance.

Phil 314 said...

I liked the ad. I was also impressed that none of the "faces" were dramatically attractive...just women.

Michael K said...

Good ad. She was poorly served in her Senate campaign in California by her media people.

Indeed. It's time for the GOP to rethink a lot of things.

The super wealthy support Democrats rather heavily, but still expect Republicans to protect them from tax hikes.

Why SHOULD we? How is it beneficial for us to protect people who loathe us?

I'm all for jacking up taxes on the rich now. Fuck the lot of them.
