The Anti-Christie.

Awesome. Walker walks away with it. Found the guy he promised to hook up with.

Christie? Fail.

Gahrie said...

Christ I hope Walker doesn't hire a bunch of handlers that will try to turn him into a robot like the rest of the politicians.

Looks like he's got the microcephaly vote locked up.

Jane the Actuary said...

Oh, that is weird. Does he have so many layers under that jacket that he looks out-of-proportion? Or did someone photoshop his head (poorly) onto someone else's body?

Garage's head explodes, and ARM shows up to make fun of children with birth defects.

Walker scores a two-fer.

Pretty sure Walker is an adult, even if he didn't finish school.

Chef Mojo said...

The point is that Walker found the guy he wanted to hug after the GB win. Political stunt or not, it's very effective, and makes Christie look like an awkward loser.

themightypuck said...

Christie must be insane. He pals around with a comically evil owner of a team that is the enemy among most of his football fan constituents.

David said...

Posing for photos with a cap over his hair is more evidence Walker is running.

Here's something to consider. People who never went to college are actually allowed to vote. Insulting them on the basis of their education might not be a good idea.

There's literally nothing interesting about a politician supporting the home team. What's next, Walker kisses a baby?

Christie's support for Dallas, while genuine seeming, can be viewed as political. That is, he's being more open about it now to signal to national voters that he's a guy who shoots straight and isn't afraid to publicly take a stand that would seem at odds with his interests. How can a governor of a state with sizable Eagles and Giants fanbases support the Cowboys? Wow, that takes guts; that's the man who won't abandon regular Americans once he's inside the beltway.

garage - are you ok?

I thought garage informed us that Walker doesn't mix with the great unwashed.

Everybody thinks they are "reasonable." Few are so convinced, however, with so little evidence.

Guildofcannonballs said...

Well Bush 41 has "Walker" in his name, so we can't immediately destroy this Scott chap, but the idea he is POTUS materal isn't funny it is cruel and tawdry.

Uncompassionate Republicanism.

tim in vermont said...

I think POTUS is more about values than it is some kind of executive mastery. Nobody has that kind of executive mastery, even Romney. Get somebody in there with the right ideas about where the country should be going. Walker is fine in that regard. And he does have plenty more executive experience than Obama had, which is setting the bar remarkably low.

He is certainly as qualified as Clinton was. I am not sure I will vote for him in the primary, but I certainly would in the general if he is the choice.

Who is the Dude with the shades, helmet, and vest-of-many-patches? I want to send him one of our Bowling League patches. How much does he charge for front side above the nipples placement?

tim in vermont said...

Watching that catch again, that Dez caught that ball and made a "football move" to stretch toward the end zone. The rules are behind the fantastic athleticism of the players at this point.

Bob R said...

Best thing for Christie is that he gets to burn that ugly "lucky" sweater.

I wanna see Walker with the cheesehead on.

He needed to have a beer in his left hand.

Walker is a class act as a mainstream politician. I want America to know him better.

tim in vermont said...

I wonder if he would be as good at taking no prisoners and executing Americans without trial as Obama.

One of the Paris terrorists told a driver of a car he hi-jacked, but didn't kill, was that he was angry about Obama's extra judicial killing of the American citizen Anwar al-Awlaki, in Yemen.

There are actually more people of voting age without college degrees than with them. On top of that, we've seen the idiocy that comes out of faculty lounges and government filled with people having more degrees than the proverbial thermometer. They've made a royal mess of things. They're behind the $18 trillion national debt and the growth in government power at the expense of individual freedom. When their "bright ideas" lead to problems, they propose even bigger bright ideas to fix the mess they caused. Perhaps the Ivy League isn't what it's cracked up to be.

Hey, guys.
Welcome to Seattle.

GO HAWKS!!!

Tank said...

In an actual game between NJ and Wisconsin, RUTGERS takes down #4 Wisconsin. B-Ball team gets revenge for football massacre.

Was Fat Boy at that game?

No.

Tank said...

It occurs to Tank that Althouse has both NJ and Wisconsin roots. Of course, Tank actually attended to Rutgers.

Shame on Tank.

garage mahal said...

Have to give it up to Walker there. Grade A trolling.

furious_a said...

Next up, Pack beats Seattle. ARM makes fun of spina bifida. Concerned Althouse posters send out search parties for Garage.

Original Mike said...

And no one knows trolling like garage knows trolling.

tim in vermont said...

First class, brutal without the appearance of brutality.

It helps that America really likes the Pack more than "America's Team."

tim in vermont said...

Plus, after seeing those fat guy hugs in that bright sweater, I have to say that Christie is too fat to be POTUS. I don't like to say it, but it is obviously true.

garage mahal said...

Fox didn't show Christie or Jones that I saw. Or Walker for that matter.

Tank said...

@garage

I did not see them on TV either.

That made me happy, until the end, when I wanted to see them crying.

garage mahal said...

Here is a shot of Christie the moment Bryant's catch was overruled. Haha.

David said...

Christie was pretty animated. Jerry Jones had seen this movie before and kept his cool.

Dallas got into the game on a terrible ref's call and got stymied by an accurate, but unlikeable, ref's call. There is some justice in the world.

Though I am a Pats fan, I grew up in the era of Lombardi so I always enjoy it when the Pack beats someone else!

I don't know how you can dislike Christie here. I think there's some political calculation on his part, for sure, but it's clear that he's a passionate fan and hasn't pandered to Giants, Eagles and Jets fans in NJ. The contrast to Hillary is startling.

That's how I see it. There's no pander percentage in this--clearly he happens to genuinely like the Cowboys even while it gets nothing for him in Jersey. Hillary, remember, decided she was a Yankee fan in 2000.

Unknown said...

So we should look forward to the refs serving up some justice in Seattle to keep the whiney weirdo relaxed in the off-season?

Brando said...

Walker rooting on his Packers is one hell of a dog bites man story. Don't most governors root on their home teams, or at least pretend to?

Show me a politician who says "I'm just here for the hot dogs. I don't really pay attention to the football match." That would take guts! Especially if he says "I'm going to stay in the luxury box because the outdoor seats stink of dirty people."

Say what you will about Walker's lack of charisma, his political instincts are pretty solid*.

Not going to happen. Seahawks are going to repeat.

Nice to see Denver still under the curse of Tebow.

Thank you Mr. Garage

Brando: "Hillary, remember, decided she was a Yankee fan in 2000"

Correction: Hillary decided she was a LIFELONG Yankee fan in 2000.

Why go for the little lie when the bigger lie is always better?

HAH! What you RW nutjobs DIDN'T see was Walker's security goon, the guy in black, smacking the Packers' owner in the back of the head to double him over where Walker could reach him! The Truth is out there!
