This is about Geithner, right? I always wondered what happened to him.

Nope-- wrong Timothy.

Looks like those girlfriends are really enjoying his company.

Online degree schools are looking better and better, aren't they?

From its inception the Internet presaged the demise of the traditional university, but who would have thought the institutions would hasten the end through mass suicide?

Wow, 4% of the entering class at Wellesley is transgender.

In a few decades we're going to look back on the TG furor with amazement. "This woman liked dressing and acting like a man, therefore there was an enormous amount of pressure to say she really was a man. New terms were invented, since the same sort of people who advocated calling women men didn't actually like men."

And psychology is going to come out looking crappy, as it so often does. A few decades ago, a man with feminine characteristics who wasn't attracted to women was considered to have a disorder. For a couple of minutes it was recognized that he's a man and is free to choose his mannerisms and sex partners. Now it is, again, that he has a disorder and is really a woman in some sort of cosmic spiritual sense.

Dave Schumann said...

People think that applying a label to something makes it a disorder. "Homosexuality" was a disorder and there was a lot of talk about "treating" it. It's absolutely astounding that, just a couple minutes after we got finished beating that bad idea into the ground, now we're inventing new disorders around sex identity. "Gender dysmorphia" -- with chemical and surgical intervention! Jesus.

It seems to me that someone who identifies as male would be more comfortable around a school full of en rather than a school full of women. I am so confused.

sydney said...

That should be "school full of men" not "en"

Homosexuality is a psychopathy exhibited by a minority of the population. However, it does not manifest as sociopathy in more than a minority of that minority.

Well, other than the majority who support the faith-based exemption to commit or contract for premeditated abortion. As well as the morally ambiguous womb banks and sperm deposits.

Anyway, gender fluidity or it's discrimination.

And don't forget the animals, because like human babies they are not persons. To think that the same psychologists supported normalization of abortion that was rationalized with a faith-based exemption to be carried out in the privacy of planned parenthood clinic. I wonder how many psychologists, like judges, have a conflict of interest to normalize select psychopathic orientations.

Wellesley is a leading institution of the Gynocracy (Vagina as Fascist State). There, all female students still submit to the time-honored ceremonial bukkake, but now it is all done with rubber penises that smell of sourdough.

All very well and good, but glosses over the really important issue: are you an asshole?

The Vagina as Fascist State knows that the vagina, divorced from reproduction and embracing abortion, is essential to achieving its vision of society. As such, transgender males and females, with their disassociation from the reproductive system they were born with, are accepted graciously into this society: they are doing more than aborting a baby, they are attempting to abort biology.

The removal of biology leaves the mouth and the anus as the unisex orifices of equality, with the corresponding lessening of intimacy: this lessening of intimacy is an open invitation to bukkake, as semen, removed from reproduction, is sprayed like water from a garden hose at a child's summer birthday party. For The Vagina as Fascist State, a birthday party is a sign that an opportunity for an abortion was, sadly, missed.

Have to ask. Is a trans man some one with a penis or some one with a vagina. I can't keep it straight.

Can't keep it straight, bradford? There's medication for that.

My elder daughter graduated from Mt. Holyoke, the original sister of the seven sisters in 2013 and the girls I met there were pretty normal and there weren't any transgendered woman or men there as far as I can recall. Other than the usual young and left which is to be expected the girls there seemed very nice, hard studying and pretty much typical girls you would expect in such a school.

There is actual evidence that gender identity exists in the brain, separately from anatomical gender. See the case of Bruce Reimer.

In a very small number of people, the neurological gender identity doesn't match the anatomical gender.

Those are the real cases of gender dysphoria. IMO they are hugely outnumbered by fetishists ("autogynephiles"), extreme drag queens, and mentally disordered people who veer into transism. But they do exist.

Paul said...

Why can't these gender-challenged people JUST SOD OFF.

I mean they seem to think the world revolves around their penis/vagina complex.

I don't care what they want other people to call them as they call them some place else.

While I'm in agreement that transgender concerns are real, but it's a women's college.

We go there for the sisterhood, and that men can be a distraction.

I call BullSh!t.

Women's and men's institutions (college & other forms of social connection) should not exist out of fear of the opposite sex.

"From the start, Timothy introduced himself as “masculine-of-center genderqueer.”"
That doesn't even make sense. Look, no well meaning person wants harm to come to these people, and I certainly have sympathy for someone who hates their sex, but what "Timothy" is defining himself as is a figment of his imagination. His gender is whatever his genes say they are. There is no such thing as masculine of center. Thst doesn't even make grammatical sense.

Tarrou said...

"masculine-of-center genderqueer"?

I can top that. I'm Triple-inverse Bi-psychotic double secret cis-racial gender-inflected reverse homosocial indo-queer. But, you know, without the stereotypical attraction to men.

sparrow said...

This is what happens when we ignore real mental illness and pretend it's all OK. It's self evidently not OK and Timothy is very likely to suffer for this. Transgendered folks have an exceptionally high suicide rate. Even if it never goes that far in his case, papering over the problem and treating it as a political issue or a joke is negligence.

Colleges such as Wellesley were founded at a time when women were excluded from a university education. In its heyday Wellesley attracted the best and the brightest women who sought out a superior competitive education NOT an institution that celebrated the sisterhood or female superiority or a refuge from men.

All that changed in 1968 when Yale and Princeton etc. began admitting women. The cream of Wellesley Class of 1972 transferred to those previously all male schools leaving Wellesley diminished. Subsequently women with "issues" sought out single sex all women colleges--- lesbians, Muslim women sent there to be cloistered from men, and now apparently trans men.

Of course faggotry is a disease, Dave. The fact that your kind hounded the APA into withdrawing the diagnosis from the DSM is painting over the windows to stop the sunrise.

Not advocating this, would prefer a cure or weeding out over time by nonbreeding (to which end SSM might be a cynical ploy for extinction if only it would work), but if all these sexual deviants were hunted down or hounded out of society, as they once were, don't you think we'd stop hearing so much about them?

How on earth is the David/Bruce Reimer case supposed to be evidence that 'gender dysphoria' is real?

If it's evidence of anything, it's that surgical intervention for whatever the current gender fad is, is wrong.
