Spike Lee doesn't want "a riot." He wants an "uprising."

"Uprising" was the word that was used around here for the Wisconsin protests.

ADDED (the next morning): I was rushing out of the house as I posted this last night. (We went out to Spring Green to see the play "Travesties" (which includes, amongst the various characters, Lenin).) So I didn't have one extra minute to put a link on "Uprising" to the book "Uprising: How Wisconsin Renewed the Politics of Protest, from Madison to Wall Street." From the reviews at Amazon:
Reading this highly emotional and polemical account of the Wisconsin Act 10 controversy/crisis/uprising, the reader would never know that the "movement" Nichols writes about -- LOST!...

Self-Segregation: Why It's So Hard for Whites to Understand Ferguson

One reason for the racial divide over Michael Brown's death is that white Americans tend to talk mostly to other white people.

The Crack Emcee said...

Gahrie,

"The only reason you need to respect a cop is the fact that they are a cop."

Gahrie, I said I have three friends who are cops - guess what? I would take the badge away from one of them, if I could. Do you know anything about that?

Shut up, asshole.

"However if you are determined to be uncivilized and anti-social, you should respect him because he's wearing a gun."

Respect is earned. Police are plantation overseers and slave catchers in the modern day. They work for white people.

They protect who whites say.

"Want to be treated with respect by the cops? Try treating them with repsect first."

The car says to protect and to SERVE.

You get everything backwards,...

Drago,

"Of course, crack will inform us shortly that these blacks are not "real" blacks."

No - you're the one who insisted blacks don't move, remember? We run from hispanics?

Racist piece of shit intellectual coward white boy,...

Drago said...

Crack: "No - you're the one who insisted blacks don't move, remember?"

No.

Because I never did.

Why don't you post the link to where I said that?

LOL

Don't worry, I won't hold you to that.

Links are racist.

Crack is outed as a demographic illiterate and lashes out accordingly.

"macho response"!

LOL

Drago said...

Crack: "We run from hispanics?"

Hey man, that's what the LA Times is saying.

Do you have a problem with that?

Do you have a problem with your hispanic "brothers" "insisting" that blacks leave parts of LA?

Why don't you "discuss" it with them?

I'm sure they'll be all ears.

So, now that the evidence is in and it shows blacks are moving back into the south (in contradiction to cracks lies about it), I wonder if crack would like to comment as to why that might be?

Hint: the answers are in the articles linked.

But you have to be able to read them, internalize them and then adjust your thinking accordingly.

In that case, crack is excused.

Crack,

In the Brown case, the particular facts do matter. If you read Prof. Cassell's analysis on the Volokh blog the other day, you would realize that depending on what the facts are, this case could be one of second degree murder, involuntary manslaugher, voluntary manslaughter or justifiable homicide. To the extent the facts are in dispute (e.g., by credible witnesses offering different stories), then a fact finder will have to sort them out. You seem to have decided what the facts are but you can't even answer the questions I raised in my first post above. Claims about social facts ("black people often face discrimination"), even if true, which is far from obvious, are irrelevant to the guilt or innocence of the policeman in this case.

I hope this clarifies things for you.

You can flip to the previous page and find it yourself:

crack: "ROTFLMAO!!!! Like blacks ever wanted to live in Compton!!!!"

LOL

Oh, so the blacks are "voluntarily" leaving Compton of their own accord.

Then why do the latinos keep providing so much "encouragement" when this is happening organically?

You're a LIAR, Drago.

And, with that, I think we're done, too.

I don't like dishonesty,...

Drago said...

Poor crack.

Too many links demonstrating his ignorance, stupidity and/or outright deceptiveness.

It's no surprise you feel overwhelmed.

Is there something we can do?

This is why it's pointless to even engage on the "specifics" of this case at this point.

We don't know the specifics.

damikesc said...

Yep - just like they "voluntarily" left the South. By the millions - with no warning to whites it was going to happen. Just one day - BOOM:

Have you ever SEEN the South?

Many more blacks down here than in the North. I saw multiple times more blacks in the South than I ever saw in NJ.

Chicago's black, Detroit's black, and so on - blacks don't have much power in this country, but the power to leave somewhere?

Two utter failures. Speaks poorly for your people.

But you claim that's why I'm free - but, by the time of the Civil War, blacks were ALREADY dying to free me.

Africans still enslave other Africans in Africa right now.

So, yeah, blacks still would enslave you if you were left back there.

It's like you WANT blacks to have done nothing.

Hardly seems to be my fault that your culture is so fucked up that failure is the ultimate goal.

Blacks made the Constitution finally mean "All Men Are Created Equal" - had to fight for it - and you think we should be thanking whites for agreeing over 90 years later?

Whites did it.

Hate to break it to you, but a tiny minority isn't able to change anything.

I will expect my reparations from your parasitic self any day now.

The Crack Emcee said...

Douglas,

"Crack,

Watch - I think this is going to expand. Holder's signalling America's about to take a leap.

First Black President/First Black Attorney General - it's LEGACY time - and they don't care what white's think, so prepare for a little "Electric Boogaloo" coming down the road.

"If you read Prof. Cassell's analysis on the Volokh blog the other day, you would realize that depending on what the facts are, this case could be one of second degree murder, involuntary manslaugher, voluntary manslaughter or justifiable homicide."

You guys are so stuck in details, you're missing the big picture. Remember that "Game Changer" the other day? Didn't change shit.

Whites have to start figuring out what matters. But, then, I've been saying that since BENGHAZI!!!!!!!

"To the extent the facts are in dispute (e.g., by credible witnesses offering different stories), then a fact finder will have to sort them out."

That's not where this is going. Eric Holder wouldn't be down there if it was. Michael Brown WOULD be a thug in the eyes of blacks if it was. No - he's a symbol, now. Innocent.

America's about to be put on trial.

"You seem to have decided what the facts are but you can't even answer the questions I raised in my first post above."

Culture trumps politics - you can rattle off all the stats you want but, so far, they haven't moved the needle. I'd think, at some point, you'd agree that maybe you're looking at the wrong info for sussing out why.

"Claims about social facts ("black people often face discrimination"), even if true, which is far from obvious, are irrelevant to the guilt or innocence of the policeman in this case."

No - he's done. As they say about about a lot of black deaths, "wrong place/wrong time."

Cultural events take on a life of their own, which is why it's so important to stay abreast of them. Right now, what we have is a string of black guys getting killed who should be alive, and a lot of whites making bad excuses why that's justified.

"I hope this clarifies things for you."

No, but you're civil, so it's cool,...

You know, if the police really were as violent, racist, and murdeous as Crack and his ilk claim, and out on the prowl looking for Black kids to kill, you'd have to be awfully fucking stupid to disrespect, insult or assault a police officer.

The biggest threat to Black kids is not White cops....it is their mother before birth and their neighbors afterwards.

Future Excerpt: There crack was, just sitting around and not sayin' nuttin' 'bout nuttin' when all of a sudden, out of the blue, completely unexpectedly and without provocation a bunch of racist white commenters at Althouse blog popped up and starting hurling unbelievable racist comments at Crack who, understandably, was taken aback and then felt compelled, forced really, to respond to these unprecedented and warranted attacks by attempting to engage in civil and reasonable discourse with these white commenters.

Alas, twas not to be......

End of Excerpt.

and this is the problem with both this issue and blacks view of this issue. Whites not working at MSNBC or pushing the lefty worldview want a fact finder to sort out the facts. If the officer shot him in cold blood they have no issue with him going to jail, if Brown bum rushed him it might be justifiable homicide. We want all the facts and want to judge the facts fairly.

Crack wants this to be a referendum about America. This officer is going to be a stand in for the meme of the white officer killing the black youth, facts be damned.

I have no interest in political theater in the service of a lefty meme. I do have an interest in having justice for all sides. And if thst means the cop is a racist, so be it. And it meanss Brown is a thug, So be it.
