"No crotch shots. No mistress in Argentina. And no political vendettas featuring a bridge."

Politico's Elizabeth Titus squeezes a column out of how boring the Scott Walker email thing is by padding it with details about political scandals that were exciting.

Politico missed voter caging. What is this all about? Oh that's right, it's nothing new. Only liberals pointed it out.

Emails Suggest Walker Aides Ran Illegal Vote-Purging Scheme

And it's not a new charge.

Only liberals pointed it out

Only liberals pointed it out, and the info on it is from "progressive.org".

Sounds legit.

Hey, there's that word again!

"Suggest."

Fraught with peril!

I don't blame some for trying to minimize this, but it's got enough legs to keep walking for a long long time.

got enough legs

Yeah, millions and millions of fanatical progressives with uncontrolled totalitarian impulses.

Chef Mojo said...

But because the offensive emails are several years old and from his aides while Walker was the Milwaukee County executive, it’s not clear if there’s going to be any lingering fallout for the governor himself.

After all, he didn’t write them.

ROFLMAO!!!

And this is Politico! Well known reichwing news source, eh garage?

If the email ain't writ, you can't convict!

Politico is a liberal website, so they're not the usual "some" one so often hears about. That's why I posted this.

Yes. Long legs.

Very long legs.

Extraordinary long legs.

Legs that wont quit.

All the way to the ground.

You Republicans are in big trouble now. Soon Progressive.org *and* Think Progress will be talking about it. Maybe even MSNBC!

Not only did Politico miss it, so did the John Doe prosecutors. Millions of dollars, months and months of work, and they missed it!

"Emails suggest..."

Weak sauce.

Well he pissed off the Public Sector unions and they have no future if they don't stop the Scott Walkers of the country. They intend to make an example of him.

Chef Mojo said...

Oh, Inga! Au contraire!

Not trying to minimize this at all. Friend of mine who lives in Tomahawk - good union worker - is going all WTF? How much money DID they spend on this piece of crap investigation? And this is it?

I imagine my friend isn't the only one in 'Sconsin asking THOSE questions.

"Suggest"

"Its not a new charge"

Apparently its not even a charge.

Perhaps its a gentle wisp of a kiss of a crime.

Perhaps.

Its been suggested.

By some.

When's the hanging?

Revenant said...

"Its not a new charge"

Apparently its not even a charge.

Is it even possible, strictly speaking, to accuse Scott Walker of a crime none of his political enemies have accused him of before?

How many reporters did they put to work on this?

And how many do they have following True Believers like Lois Lerner? Or the CareOregon woman director that hitched up her cronies to be paid even as the system they were developing was dead on arrival. Anyone following her emails?

Oregon Public Radio talking head idealogue said "we need faith", haha, in Obamacare coming through for us. Holy Cow, Batman.

There's lots of scandal, but it is on the wrong side.

The point is that if a National leaning left publication like Politico finds the whole thing boring than there really isn't even a lot of smoke to suggest fire.

It would be like Fox News or the WSJ deciding there's nothing important about Benghazi. Sure, the Newsmaxes of the world will keep yammering on, but it's almost a guarantee that things will stay on the periphery.

Those poor, poor, Politico poopers. I just can't feel so sorry for them. Conservatives just bore them to death!

Yup, legs, long, skinny, ugly legs with ugly ankles and knobby knees that one can barely even force oneself to even glance in that general direction, varicose veins and all.

What kind of scandal is that?

Sight reading of Scott Walker: He seems decent, honest, and a bit dull. He doesn't even try very hard to comb over his bald spot. To portray him as some kind of dark, Machiavellian force speaks more to the bias of his critics than to the defects of his character......Christie is involved in a genuine scandal. Even if he didn't know about the lane closings, he certainly hired some small minded jerks. That said, the Christie scandal is several orders of magnitude less than those of his two predecessors, McGreevey and Corzine. Then there's the scandal surrounding Lautenberg. That man had died two years prior to his appointment to the Senate. They found some corrupt physician to certify that he was alive, but everybody knew the truth. I don't mean to disparage the art and professionalism of NJ embalmers, but on certain humid DC days, the smell was really ripe.

So those "cagers" were sharing and laughing about an idiotic non-fact-based TEA Party article from Milwaukee's black newspaper. Sounds racist and a violation of federal law. An improper sense of humor will get you jail time.

BTW, I see where Politico, with a little less than a thousand days until the 2016 election, is rating Rand Paul and Scott Walker at the top of their list of 16 Republicans

No - Scott Walker guilty of not being as low as we know low can go.

But, surrounding himself with racists, until he's caught?

Yeah, he's guilty as sin,...

Wow - with the history of the world out there, only a racist, or an ignoramus would ask this question.

Althouse, I know Politico isn't a righty publication. I was actually referring to people here on your blog. As for Elizabeth Titus, her take on this is foolish and childish. Because it wasn't sufficienty titillating for her, or because Walker is a Governor from a fly over state, she blows it off, wrongly. She misunderstood the politicos in Washington who were hoping Walker could be their golden boy for 2016, since Christie is out.

Anonymous said...

As for Sanford and his sex scandal with the South American woman, it was titillating all right, but it didn't seem to matter to South Carolinians. It will be interesting to hear if this scandal will be sufficiently titillating for Titus after this current investigation is over. Who knows, maybe it will be a snoozer... Or not.

For those keeping score:

Fast & Furious: NOT a scandal

IRS targeting conservatives: NOT a scandal

Benghazi: NOT a scandal.

Walker did something that nobody can claim is unethical, much less illegal? IS a scandal
