"When I was being questioned by police I felt very intimidated," says George Zimmerman's lady friend.

"I believe that the police misinterpreted me and that I may have misspoken about certain facts in my statement to police."

Samantha Scheibe now says "I do not want George Zimmerman charged" and Zimmerman "never pointed a gun at or toward my face in a threatening manner" and "I want to be with George."

Can't we just move directly to the imprisonment phase for Zimmerman, the Duke Lacrosse players, anyone Sharpton has ever accused?

I mean, what's the hold up here?

How about greedy money grubber syndrome ? There were reports that prior to calling the police on Zimmerman she had shopped her "story", such as it is, around to different news organizations but apparently hadn't received any offers.

This is why the "24 Hour Rule" needs to be extended much longer when George Zimmerman is involved. The press jumped all over it for a couple of days, and then... nothing. Justice got all up about it for a couple of days, and then... nothing.

Word got around very quickly that there was no there, there. The press, having gotten burned before, backed off. The Justice Department is still hemming and hawing and thrusting its chest out on occasion.

Let's see. He has guns and ammunition. As is his right, not being a criminal. And given the tsunami of death threats he's received, I'd say he's got the right idea.

He might be a complete dick. I don't know. But it's not a crime to be a complete dick.

" I mean, what's the hold up here? " There are more people watching these little fiefdom machinations that had ever been possible in the past. And, we talk about and publicize them like never before. Would this have been news 15 years ago ? Likely not. How many people even know that that charlatan Sharpton is the despicable pig he is, how many would have known before the internet ?

Chris Rock, on his rules for not getting your ass kicked by the police: "If your woman is mad at you, leave her at home, 'cause a mad woman will say anything. If your woman is mad at you, there's nothing she'd like to see more than you getting your ass kicked."

Zimmerman needs to go into a monastery for about two years or so, give everyone time to forget him.

Golly, and I was so sure there was a pony in the pile of horseshit this time.

Felony charge actually seems really bogus, based on the 911 call. "He's breaking my shit and waving a gun around." In North Carolina, at least, breaking your shit would be a misdemeanor. Waving a gun around isn't actually anything, unless he points the gun at you, at which case it's a misdemeanor.

In Florida, apparently, pointing a gun at somebody is a felony, and you can five years in prison, maybe more.

Wow, that's a big difference in punishments for the same crime.

The accuser in the Duke Lacrosse case, Crystal Mangum was just convicted of murder last month.

LOL

Like it's Zimmerman keeping the Zimmerman story alive.

All those "journalists" are dying to let this whole matter drop but that darn Zimmerman won't let them!!!

I believe Ms. Scheibe is on 911 tape with these charges?

George Zimmerman needs to get out from under that court order to stay in Florida, then leave Florida and never come back.
Just cut his losses and leave.

I was in a firearms workshop the other night. One of the speakers was a policeman who said that his department waits 72 hours before taking an officer's statement. They find fewer contradictions and inaccuracies with that policy.

In other news, Bobby Cox is going to the Baseball Hall of Fame.

May 1995: Braves manager Bobby Cox is arrested on simple battery charge after his wife called 911 and said Cox hit her. She retracted the statement the following day, and the charges were dropped after the couple attended court-ordered counseling.

Popular in statist circles all over the country.

Yeah, a monastery somewhere deep in the interior of China. No internet, no international press, nada.

Was with an knife, not an evil gun. So she's still a good person as far as the press goes...

Zimmerman needs to have his name changed to Joe Smith then move to South Dakota and work in the oil fields for the next 10 years.

And ditch the girl friend.
