"Well, you know, I don't want to put the men senators down. There are some really great men senators here..."

"... but I do see women working collaboratively and listening more to people to try to find their core common ground to get something done."

I don't think we can afford anymore, "get[ting] something done". We're in the midst of trying to digest your last turd sandwich.

NPR paplum for their female listeners/readers.

"Both Murray and Ryan are highly respected within their caucuses — both are considered tremendously smart and effective lawmakers."

Murray has a reputation for being quite stupid.

But I thought there were no differences between men and women...

That's what the feminazis tell us all the time.

Or is it that there are no gender differences until such a difference might be advantageous to the feminazis...

Let me know if you ever see any Democrat female senators that this description applies to.

It's sad that we have to keep reminding people of these tests:

Well, you know, I don't want to put the women senators down. There are some really great women senators here, but I do see men working collaboratively and listening more to people to try to find their core common ground to get something done.

Well, you know, I don't want to put the Latino senators down. There are some really great Latino senators here, but I do see non-Latinos working collaboratively and listening more to people to try to find their core common ground to get something done.

Some of my best friends are black, Latino, female, male, LGBT Senators.

Hey Patty! Two words: "Harry Reid" You and your marvelous group aren't getting anything done that that old man doesn't like.

Well, you know, I don't want to put the smart senators down. There are some really great smart senators here, but I do see morons working collaboratively and listening more to people to try to find their core common ground to get something done.

Oh please Patty Murray is a former social worker - does anyone really think she is willing to shrink the fed govt!?

She was the one who praised the Taliban for providing free daycare isn't she?

Not thinking that women under the Taliban have no use for daycare since they aren't allowed to work...

Some days I think that NPR has decided that they're just going to go whole-hog for the middle-aged female academic market, and thus program accordingly.

My first thought when I read "women trying to get things done" in Washington was Pelosi "we have to pass it for you to read it".

Yep, real collaboration and working for the better of America. Not.

I thought that women complained that one of the biggest problems with areas that are dominated by men is that there's a "boy's club" and that the real work and networking is done through that, away from work. Aren't they working collaboratively like that? Or does meeting up at the bar or golf course sans women not happen in government?

Murray is as dumb as a stump. She has high turnover of staff once they understand her. Why the Democrats put her as chair of the budget committee is one more example of how thin they are in the mentality department.

Patty Murray is a stunningly stupid individual and an embarrassment to our state. But,by relentless flacking for her corporate masters at Boeing and the support of the equally mindless voters of King County, she remains in office. I can't think of a better example of how and why our political class is a joke.

Oh bullshit. You just run your mouths more.

SGT Ted said...

The only thing Murray has to make her look like a smart Senator is Barbara Boxer from CA sitting in the same room.

Kirk Parker said...

I am sorry. Really, I am so sorry.

BUT... don't blame me, I've never voted for her.

So, Patty Murray is a collaborator?

(Couldn't resist.)

damikesc said...

Will she further regale us on Osama bin Laden's humanitarian efforts?

What a fucking moron.

rcommal said...

But then, maybe the old shade of meaning in that word has gone the way of Cohen-unslept-with-by-Althouse's use of "conventional."

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigt!

Has Murray never worked with women for any period of time?

Because a group of all women CAN'T GET MUCH OF ANYTHING DONE.

Why do people think studies show men AND women prefer a male boss?

What conservative policy has Murray ever supported? None? Working together would indicate she's supported some.

She wants to have her cake and eat it, too. She'll have to pass it before she will know if that is possible.

Men is a noun. Male is an adjective. Should be male senators. Not men senators.
