When even the most clueless get a clue.

"'I remember you on Montel Williams telling the family of Amanda Berry she was dead,' wrote Facebook commenter Lisa Lupas on ['psychic' Sylvia] Browne's Facebook page. 'What do you have to say for yourself? You are a fraud! What a horrible horrible thing to say to a family holding on to nothing but hope and faith. Shame on you!'"

Who believes such a creature? One look at Browne and I'd run in the other direction. But that's me.

I am sorrybut, why would anyone care what some sigh-kick has to say? Why would an adult believe anything one of these says?

Yes, shame this fraud into poverty. She deserves it.

People like that don't feel shame. And their is a sucker born any minute.

She probably thought, like most people do, that 98% of these people who go missing are just dead. I'm starting to wonder if we shouldn't revise that number down a little bit.

How funny . . . We can see the result of a fraud and codmen her justly. But when a Paul Erlich - a "Scientist", the sacred priests of today - predicts massive starvation in the 70's and his predictions donot come true, he is criticized - AND HIS THEORIES ARE STILL FOLLOWED today!

Global Warming entusiasts are in the same category as this psychic.

Learn this time people.

I don't believe in psychics, but, over the course of a lifetime, I have believed in a truly phenomenal amount of crap. If you seek the wisdom of psychics, they will give you the wisdom you deserve.

More psychotic than psychic.

I believe that is against the law in 36 states.

Online users accused psychic of being a fraud

"Accusation" connotes "allegation" which suggests a degree of uncertainty. "Being a psychic" is being a fraud, with no doubt.

Amazing. I hope they run with the clue!

Usually, people like psychic Sylvia Browne are smart enough to keep their claims indistinct or otherwise unfalsifiable.

She flew too close to the sun, is all.

My guess is she's still smart enough not to venture a guess about God's will or the existence of Heaven.

Do you think as a species we have made progress or lost ground on following the truth? It seems that for all the science we have today, there is just as much fraud and bullshit as ever. There used to be oracles, and witches, and snake oil salesmen, but I bet there is more of the modern brands of that than ever in the past. I suspect the relative safety and affluence of modern life gives us much greater freedom to indulge in stupidity, knowing the safety nets will catch us, which is itself a fraud.

Perhaps Browne mean that as 'mostly dead'. There's a difference between mostly dead and all-the-way dead. Something to do with pocket change.

Women are psychics.

They vote for the one who means well.

The Oracle at Delphi was cannier -- telling Croesus that if he crossed the river, a great empire would fall? True either way, and because it fell in the more ironic way, immortalized forever by Herodotus.

Browne could learn a few things from the masters.

Sure, the psychic got it wrong. Don't ever believe what a psychic tells you. The police also got it wrong, and they had a lot more to go on. Don't ever believe what the police tell you? Probably good advice.

Don't get me on doctors and lawyers.

Or bloggers.

Sad that Crack isn't around to comment on this.

To be fair, I would've told the parents that their daughter was most likely dead, but I wouldn't have charged them for it, or claimed some special knowledge.

Sylvia Brown has been feeding off of the grief of people for decades. This scum bag and other fortune tellers like her need to be put out of business. Yeah, I'm looking at you John Edwards, the little mustached monkey James Van Praagh, and that bullet headed skeevosa from long island, Theresa Caputo. Fakes, frauds, scam artists. Every one of you.

What about ghosts? I really don't believe in psychics, but I have seen a ghost. It was a long time ago. I was reminded of it because of a recent visit to Milligeville, GA, to tour their historic homes. Two of them had ghosts. One guy got a picture of one on his phone. It looked like a woman in a white dress. I saw the picture, but not the ghost.

The one I saw was back in the 60s. My girlfriend and I were parked at an abandoned farm house, about a quarter mile from the paved road. We saw someone walking down the lane toward us. We both saw it. I thought is was someone who lived on the paved road coming to tell us to leave, and that they did not want people parking there. They looked like they were wearing white pajamas. After a few minutes of the person getting closer, I turned on the car lights. There was no one there. I turned the lights off and the person was closer. Not only that, the person was not walking down the winding ruts that existed then, but was walking straight down the lane through the weeds. I don't remember how many times I turned on the lights and turned them back off, but I got out of there pretty quick. My car was 52 Ford Flathead V8 with a weak battery. It cranked and I was grateful.

out of this case, I really could not care about Browne or the public shaming she's getting...who the heck listens to a psychic and who would let that poor woman go to one and listen to that nonsense?

The psychics on Fox News during the Chandra Levy debacle was their second worst moment in journalism. It was exceeded, barely, by Shepard Smith's hysteria over rumors of cannibalism in the Superdome during Katrina.

Psychics. Why not wear a clown costume instead?

I was a classmate of the brother of, and coworker of the sister of, one of the first milk carton missing children, Johnny Gosch. An abducted person with no knowledge of what happened or resulted, is an open wound on all who love that person, and their circle of acquaintances.

I still pray for Johnny Gosch and Eugene Martin. It still comes up every once in a while as a subject of conversation and remembrance among my HS mates. Class of 83.

Damn anyone claiming to psychically know that the person is dead. How horrifying if the family gives up looking, gives up hope.

Double damn anyone who abducts another person. An especially hot and torturous ring of hell awaits.
