I love horizontal afternoon and morning light because it makes everything glow--but I do not like how it shows every speck of dust.

(not to cast aspersions on the housekeeping at Meadehouse or anything though)

robots, widgets..

I had two pleasant experiences this week. The guy who takes care of my garden and lawn was planning to seal my deck and I had asked him to make sure there was no activity in the bird nests underneath the deck. Lo and behold, next thing I get a txt msg from him with pictures of the nest!

Then we had two roof guys giving us estimates. One guy, smooth talking listened to what we had to say, and had a look at the roof from the ground up and gave us a number. I was not impressed. The second guy went up in the attic to see where the water was coming on the inside and went up on the roof and emailed us later with a proposal and pictures! Pictures of our roof to show us what was the issue. Needless to say, I picked the second guy for the work.

Pose = Napolean Robot, looking West. Heroic Shading of Light. Short. Constitutional Law Professor keeps Robot as Reminder: if the Law cannot be explained and followed by a Robot it is a Poorly Written Law. The Battery of the Robot is Justice: there is Either a Battery or Not.

Robot Constitutional Judges do Not Understand Penumbra. Law or Not Law: Zeroes and Ones, Ones and Zeroes. Explanation Required = Vagarity.

Robot Understands Ducks. Ducks Enforce their Own Laws. Duck Law does not require Explanation: there is no Appeal. A Shop-Lifting Duck is a Shop-Lifting Duck.

Robot looks out the Window at an Organic World but is Only Six Inches: it cannot Enforce Obvious Truth.

I Have a Deep Understanding of Ann's Robot.

Ann's Robot does not Understand why Justice cannot be Administered Like an ATM delivers Twenties. There are No Tens, No Fives, No Ones: the Twenty is Truth.

Anonymous said...

Making Change from the Twenty is for the Parole Robot.

Lem Vibe Bandit said...

tell us Betamax, was Duck and Cover written by a robot?

Anonymous said...

At the ATM the Rich Man's Twenty is Exactly the Same as the Poor Man's Twenty: should Justice not be the Same?

Robot Knows.

Re: "ell us Betamax, was Duck and Cover written by a robot?"

I know not of Duck and Cover. Page and Coverdale, Yes.

Playboy bunny. I knew it and yet I had to look it up... Even with the brakes I can't drive 55.

I believe Ann's Robot serves Two Main Purposes"

1. To draw me into Her Robotic Tantalizing Web;

2. To Serve as a symbolic Reminder of the conflict between the Mechanical Truism of Law and the Human Need to Variate Such Understanding.

Does Robot Judge Have Mercy? Should Robot Judge have Mercy?

If the Law is Bad should Robot Judge Override it?

Lem Vibe Bandit said...

oh, not playboy bunny after all... coulda been shoulda been.

Re: "Does Robot Judge Have Mercy? Should Robot Judge have Mercy?

The Problem with being a few Time Zones Behind: I would love Ann's Input, but she is Asleep. I figure.

Lem Vibe Bandit said...

Robots are overrated.

Just look at Judge Judy.

Speaking of Playboy Bunnies"

Kristine Hanson (born September 23, 1951 in Illinois) is an American television broadcaster who also was Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for the September 1974 issue...

She currently is the host of DIY Network's The Dirt on Gardening...

Hanson has been the meteorologist on KTXL, KOVR and KCRA in Sacramento, California..

She won an Emmy Award and a first place award for American Women in Radio and Television.

I remember her Weather Forecasts as a Sacramento Teenager. How I wanted Weather Trouble.

That's Judge Dredd...

I am the Law.

If Robots Administered Justice with Mathematical Purity would it not Place More Emphasis on our Human Lawmakers to Actually Write Better, Consistent, Laws?

What?

Betamax related to Jessica?

I'm sorry?

I think Jessica Savitch and Linda Ellerbee used to trade Jello Shots out of each other's Belly Button. Ted Koppel and Marv Albert woud then trade hair=pieces and masturbate.

Lem Vibe Bandit said...

oh.

I thought Betamax had a case of the regrets... and had gone and bough a car with brakes.

If Robots administered Law David Gregory would be in Jail.

Bad Robot, Bad David Gregory or Badly Written Law by Humans?

Re: "I thought Betamax had a case of the regrets... and had gone and bought a car with brakes."

Nope. As Bob Marley would say, "No Brakes, No Cry".

I missed the "Comment Removed." I'd like to think I would've Enjoyed It.

Lem Vibe Bandit said...

it was Jessica Savitch.

I would love "Comet Removed." Ahhh, Kohoutek.

David Gregory is an Exshole box.

Lem Vibe Bandit said...

Comet removed by town ordinance enforced by robots.

Robots don't sensor since they don't experience embarrassment because they don't know they are naked.

Lem Vibe Bandit said...

Betamax is staring to make sense...

Possibly related to Jason Bateman.

Lem Vibe Bandit said...

Robots? I was listening to NPR as I made dinner, always careful to think about what they are choosing NOT to discuss.

They led with a tease about how Sheriff Arpaio has been found to use racial profiling. Then they proceeded with other news, and came back AGAIN to mention it, and then AGAIN to actually report the story. wOW. Three times, that silver-tongued lady gleefully reported the delicious news. a Judge ruled!

Hmm, what a co-eenkeedeenk, this "enemy" of Obama selects group identity criteria to decide to harass American citizens, hmmm, let's see, where have I heard that pattern before lately? The federal taxing enforcement agency maybe?

What lucky timing for the Team.

Then they moved to the 1955 freeway bridge that came down in Washington. Never mind that 5 years ago, the One flooded our coffers with cash, promised to fix our infrastructure with a Stimulus Plan that never did anything of the kind, certainly not to an outdated bridge on a vital interstate on route to Canada. Cricket. Cricket. No. It was just some Canadian truck at fault for being higher than the bridge's too low clearance.

20 years from now, NPR will be appreciated for the massively yellow journalism that they make, and my heart is snapped shut for them, I hope they rot in the Hell they deserve for their lies of ommission and commission.

Red robots, every one of them, stylish, yes, and so cool in the perfect light.

We always used to ask medical students that question on rounds. They would freeze, frightened because they did not know the answer, some offering a technical guess.

You shoulda seen their faces when they heard the correct response.

Surely that collapse would have been prevented but for the sequester.
