The actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt confronts his paparazzi.
Via Metafilter.
I love when the one paparazzi guy tries to explain himself by citing "La Dolce Vita" — the movie where the term "paparazzi" originates — but then he can't think of the director's name and the actor says "Fellini."
By the way, I love "La Dolce Vita." Remember that time FireDogLake attempted to insult me by saying "Every time I look in over there, something so weird is going on that I feel like I just bumbled on to the set of a Fellini film" and I was all...
And remember "I don't want an egg at this hour."
(Note: The man in the backseat is the character named Paparazzo.)

What I love is Feliini's "8 1/2." I saw "La Dolce Vita" at a revival house, and boy, was it long.

It must be watched on DVD, I think. It's episodic, and should consumed in parts or it's really annoying.
I liked this until I read JGL's mindless anti-whatever rant. It always disappoints me to hear stars wrap their self-interest in high-minded bullshit. Get over it. You choose to be a star. You can be annoyed, but at lest acknowledge that this comes with the territory. Enjoy the millions of dollars and get over it.
Amazing. It's like he so turned the tables on the paparazzi!
Pfft, whatever.
Or get a Paparazzi-repelling Robot.
Robots can solve many problems.
Calculators only solve Math problems.
Robot Wins.
I watch LDV once a year. Never seems too long to me.
Of course, I'm watching from a comfy sofa and not in a theater. I don't think there are many opportunities to see it in a theater these days.
His star is bright enough to deserve the attention?
He should be thanking them for looking at all.
I saw 8 1/2 at a revival house and, God, it was long and boring.

Then try the musical remake, "Nine." (Daniel Day-Lewis aside, I thought it was a disaster.)
Or 9 1/2 Weeks.
It's shorter and less boring.
I'm a fan of JG-L, and I'm not afraid to say it. I like his choices in movies, and I like that he's willing to mix it up with paparazzi instead of regarding himself as upper class simply because he's a celebrity. This cut isn't high art, and it's not presented as if it is. It's honest. In a town known for being full of fakes, it's refreshing.
The photographer who had fantasies of gays and who had is nose done was fucking hot.
If you spot it, you've got it?
or something.

Maybe that's why, when I saw it near Lynchburg, Virginia, there were two intermissions. A man seated at an organ rose from the orchestra pit during each break, bathed in a pea soup green light, to play classical music.
JGL is one of the coolest actors currently working. Even if he wasn't, his shifting gravity dream fight in Inception would have sealed the deal. I've liked watching this guy's work since he was a pre-teen on Third Rock.
I loved that video. It was wonderful how he got into the paparazzi's heads at the end.
