"Okay, everybody, who's up for an anal probe?"

(It just seemed to follow given the tenor of the previous posting.....)

Wait until Gabby Giffords hears about this one. No more flying death star ships will be sold legally...only ObamaDrones.

Speaking of abduction, my computer in the office has been abducted by tons of useless start up programs that have slowed it to a crawl. It wasn't on line for some time due to being out of wireless range. Since getting a signal booster and getting back on-line.....every single program wants to download updates and push themselves to the front of the line.

Gah!!! It takes a half hour just to get started and even begin to get to a point where I can apply the updates. CPU at 100% almost all the time.

:-(

One word; Ubuntu.

Of course, my observations in the coffee houses tells me to get a MacBook Pro.

Were it I, I would:
1. Ensure your system hard drive has enough space for virtual memory, i.e. isn't nearly full.
2. (assuming Win XP) START > RUN >'msconfig'. Under Startup tab, select "Disable all" > OK. Reboot. (May have to return and reenable for some specific workplace programs). Also works in Win 7.
3. Run a good malicious software program (full scan), e.g. Malwarebytes (malwarebytes.org).

For starters...

I think first of this.

"Won't you please take me along? I won't do anything wrong."

I especially like the way the lighting changed there near the end when the person in the foreground (Meade?) near the photographer was being abducted, and the effects of the transporter beam energy 'affected' the camera. Nice touch.

I also like how, as in most good cheesy alien abduction movies, the people just stand there frozen and let themselves be abducted instead of screaming and running away.

My greatest fear is that everyone else will have their bodies snatched, and I'll be left behind, all alone, for eternity.

Damn, I'm pathetic.

Isn't that the main theme of the "Left Behind" series?

I want to live at Chip's house. He cooks and does cool stuff.

And Althouse is running after them yelling, "Come back here. That's a borrowed dog".

PS You guys forget the old "Out Of Limits".

PPS Nice one, Chip.

Maybe your best ever.

I think the Left Behind books deal with the Rapture and End Times.

Unless spaceships are going to rapture up the non sinners.

Nice touch w. the Byrds, Ann. Circa the same period there is always "I'm the Urban Space-man" by the UK-based Bonzo-Dog Do-Dah Band. (and produced by Paul McCartny--the Beetles were great fans of the band, as were Eric Clapton, Elton John & Led Zepplin)They used to play wearing giant paper-mache heads. Was the very first thing I saw on BBC TV in Dec 1969 when I finally got my TV hooked up. lol. Check them out on Wiki..

Scotty? One of funniest bumper-stickers I ever saw was a "Beam me up, Scotty--there's no intelligent life down here!" circa mid-70s lol.
