"His only hope is a convention reinvention..." — a faux movie trailer from the Obama campaign...

... presenting Romney as the main character in a movie — "in a world..." — facing a terrible challenge and having very little hope....

I don't know if you're rolling on the floor laughing at all that comedy, but here's what I think. In the stereotypical "in a world..." movie trailer presenting one man who's up against a seemingly insurmountable challenge, that character is a hero, and in the movie, we identify with him and he wins.

Steve Austin said...: I think Obama's campaign did this to try and muddy the waters vis a via the 2016 movie. If they can figure out a way to put in the minds of people that 2016 is equally a cornball parody, it might blunt the effectiveness of it, before it had a chance to get off the ground.

However, 2016 is a pretty serious movie. I'd encourage anyone here to go see it.; 8/26/12, 10:40 AM

It's strange to sit out an election - and not like either guy - because everything looks different, especially the partisans. They just come off as silly:

Romney fans can't see anything they don't want, and Obama's are determined to do the same, no matter what.

I think Romney will win, but know we'll lose either way, so it'll just be the second presidential election night in a row where MY choice will be between watching coverage and getting drunker than Otis.

I understand that Democrats vote for Democrats and don't like Republicans. I get that, but it would be nice if they were honest enough to notice that Obama has run the two most emotional, content-free campaigns in modern times.

The crowds would suggest the RR team is way ahead in momentum. Paul Ryan even had a fainter the other day and called in the EMS. I don't believe Obama has had a single one this time.
