Theme...THEME! We don't need no stinking theme!!

Things are not what they seem?

Shadows, shadows everywhere, if only we could hear them.

Nice theme. I love museum blogging.

Bothered by people talking. Talking and not saying anything.
Saying something but providing only noise. Talking past each other. Partitioned speech.

I don't see a theme, but I see a motif: solutions worse than the problem. It's a motif I'm sure will be seen in every single post by at least one person. Pink noise, duh. Scott Walker, duh. Speech-killing guns, duh. Walla walla walla is probably the most egregious example. In school we used "peas and carrots, carrots and peas, keys and parrots, parrots and keys" to create that unintelligible hum--but neither example creates the authentic air they're intended to. You can always tell they crowd is just muttering nonsense.

My guess for the theme: Using filabustering to block communications about the simply realities of the terrible world we find ourselves in today, using any tools possible.

Noise is counter productive. Creative thought flourishes in silence. ("Silence is golden" for a reason.)

Although for some people silence is deadly. Why that is I can't say.

Soooo.....are you going to share your theme??

"Museum of dog sounds video."

Nice!

Thanks to all for participating in theme deciphering.

You're all pretty much right and you know it.

Noise and silence... bad noise and bad silence... confusion... fuzziness.... blather... murmuring....

Basically, sounds, mostly meaningless.

In drama class, Camp Drake, it was 'rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb' for the crowd scene, not a scene Persey, but a segment for the radio show Invasion from Mars. Apparently as a troupe we were all so bad that our little stage show had to be a depiction of a radio show. I was so bad that I was one of the rhubarb people and that was it. I am just now realizing how lame and cloistered my upbringing actually was.

tradguy is right that it's a terrible world we live in. But why? Surely materially most live ridiculously well. It's terrible because liberty is dying. What's so terrible about a gun that silences annoying or inconvenient speech? Nothing. Not if you don't cherish liberty. What's so terrible about a museum run by cultural marxists who banish bourgeois art? Again nothing to those who don't even have a memory of our heritage of liberty. I know. Lighten up. Don't be a killjoy. Get hip with Ann.

Windows are open. I hear someone using a lawn mower. Was hoping for rain and thunder, more noise, but it looks like that chance has passed us.

OK, I have put up with this nonsense long enough waiting for someone to put out the correct Methodist Church camp official crowd sounds. The males are supposed to say 'soda water bottle' over and over. Females are supposed to say, 'rubber baby buggy bumpers'. Everyone knows, men and women don't talk the same. Let's get it straight.

I'm not sure how there can be bad silence.

Silence has no negative. Yeah...I'm looking forward to the big dirt nap!!

ahh...not that I'm suicidal. I do like the sound of rain on the roof, and birds singing in the morning.

Just had dinner with my son, and that's pretty cool.
