A little consistency, please,..

And, believe it or not, I'm happy for you.

You're celebrating by smoking salvia?

Congratulations and best wishes to Meadehouse.

Godspeed on two years together.
May the next year be wonderful.

May you have many more years!

I've always loved that picture of Meade reading the NYT with the news article about you two in it. On many levels.

Oh - the marriage! I thought it was three years blogging (shows you how attentive I am).

Congratulations and many more happy years.

By all means, Happy Anniversary.

I had to catch up when you two said the vows because The Blonde and I were in MI near Mackinaw (one of The Blonde's favorite places), so I'm glad to wish a very happy third here and now and many more to come.

And if the $7,400 government rebate (taxpayer funded rebate) ever ends, this number will be zero.
Except for the Volts that Barry makes the government (taxpayers) buy.

Has it really been 3 years? It seems like a few months ago to me. Ah, the wonders of raging alcoholism.

Congratulations to both of you.

Happy anniversary. May you have many more years of growing closer to each other.

A very Happy Anniversary to you.

Apparently cotton is the traditional gift for a 2d anni, so why not call it a day at the cocktail hour and get three sheets to the wind?

AllenS said...

Happy Anniversary to you, and I wish you two well on the third year.

ndspinelli said...

If cotton is the 2nd anniversary gift, I'm reminded of my youth. I tired of the term, "On the rag" and coined, "straddling the cottons." But, this hardly seems appropriate and I probably won't sleep tonight for this venial sin.

MikeR said...

Congratulations.

Feliz aniversario! May there be many more.

Titus said...

Are you going to do it tonight?

I would be interested in hearing about all the sex acts. Is it just missionary or do you get a little freaky?

Where are we all going out for dindin?

OMG, my password is "straties"-no shit.

Happy anniversary. I'm sorry I neglected to make you a card. So my brother must share the card I made for him and posted today, he's a Christian good-hearted sharing type. It's a ridiculous penguin pop-up.

What a nice cafe! Flowers and all!

But I'm here on serious business, to point out once again that we are a nation of men, not laws.

Here, a tweet from Twitter:

"Will the state of Florida in the person of Judge [Perry] continue to play fast and loose w/the law in their vendetta against Casey Anthony?"

bagoh20 said...

Wow! Time flies.

Congrats. Keep doing what you love, and looking for new stuff.

We appreciate you both and as a team we love ya.

I have been lurking here for over 5 years and I really enjoy it. But it's hard to believe that you guys have been together that long. I am very happy for both of you, you make such a wonderful pair, you compliment each other.

Congratulations you two! May you celebrate many more in the years to come.

And hey, this means that it's been two years since I stopped in Madison on the way to the inlaws, and went into a Target wearing shorts!

wv: slyze - I felt like a slyze wearing shorts in Madison.

I don't like the word erotic or the word sensual or any of the other words for that charged essence of the passionate but the pictures you posted from your first meeting with Meade in Ohio(?) were filled with that charge. It was there in the beginning and there will only be more of what was there as it goes on. More and deeper.

Groovy!!!! Best wishes!!!!

Hazy Dave said...

To echo all the good wishes seems insufficient, but it is, after all, slightly more than the least I can do, so congratulations and continued happiness to you both.

MadisonMan said...

You know the best part of this anniversary, right?

It's that the GREEN BAY PACKERS are the World Champions!!!!

Aridog said...

Congratulations! The best for all the future years. May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be at your back ... and all that stuff.

Trooper York said...

Congratulations.

I hope you have many more happy years together.

MadisonMan said...

I mean, the first anniversary was okay and all, but who were the world champions? It certainly wasn't the Almighty Green Bay Packers. So Anniversary #2 has to be better.

Here's to the third anniversary, and the continuation of the Packers' championship reign!

Congratulations to you both!

Congrats on your 2 great years together. It had to have been pretty invigorating for the two of you as you worked as such an effective team covering the statehouse protests. We all benefited.

My congrats as well!
Agent Meade has performed admirably in his infiltration of one of Madison's elite voices.
Onward comrades!

I kid, of course. Happy anniversary and Happy Birthday to my Sister!

AllenS said...

Well, I just returned from a date. I was a little apprehensive, when the couple that set us up, said that she was my age, or a couple of years older.

At almost 65 years old, what the hell? So, I said yes.

I had a blast. Big time fun. And, yes alcohol was involed.

Later, I removed her bra, and her breasts fell all the way down to her waistline.

Then, she said: "I have acute angina."

And, I said: "I well, I hope so, because your breasts ain't that cute."

It went down hill after that.

Chip S. said...

AllanS, Did you get the "early bird special"?

ndspinelli said...

Allen S, Very funny! I just listened to the entire ballgame w/ your guy Ueck. He was @ his best the first inning busting LaRussa's balls[Jimmy Piersall hated him in Chicago and purposely called him "LaRusso."]. But still way too many "Err..err.err" for me.

My college speech teacher who was a tough bastard would have broke him of that. Everytime you said "Uh, Err", he threw something @ you. Usually a pen or chalk, but sometimes books.

q12345q6789 said...

... In all due seriousness though, I guess this is as good a time as any to thank you for your perspective on the days events and photographically as well...

An offer: If you want my money - from your Amazon hookup while that lasts - May I suggest a celebratory post consolidating, in list-like fashion, your favorite somethings/recommendations (memorable-movies-shared-between-you-two, Meadehouse Music Cafe', Great-Books-about-Mushrooms, etc.)
Make it a creative "feature" instead of Insty's obligatory "In the Mail..." posts. Just a brief thought.

AllenS said...

Chip,

I have no idea what the "early bird special" is.

I don't think that we do that where I live.

FleetUSA said...

The New Yorker is for snobs. They will chuckle at any "pseudo-literary" turn of situation event. Especially one poking fun at Judeo-Christian tradition.

I'm sure we could put out a similar story of Algore waking up one 4th of July in the Middle East (as Prez Dim's emissary) to the driving snow storm which cancelled his charter jet home.

AllenS said...

Hey, spinelli,

Bob Uek, don't back down from nobody. I listened to the pre-game, and I'll say it again, ain't nobody better than the Uek.

Thank you, everyone. Seems like only yesterday we were up there on Bellyache Ridge vowing our vows amidst the mountain asters, butterflies and clouds.

I liked everything about her then and even more so now. She is a wonderful wife and friend who makes me a better man than I would be without her and she continually amuses with her wit and amazes me with her beauty.

Thanks everyone for reading and commenting. May all your good wishes return to you and yours a thousandfold.
