Odd to me that this was a short blurb in the Milwaukee JS...somebody threatens to kill multiple public officials and it gets a few paragraphs buried in the paper a month later?
Not only did she threaten lawmakers. The email account she set up was in the name of a girl she sent threatening text messages to in the fall. The union cops weren't able to contact the teacher back then.....nice police work.
Unless she teaches in private school -- she has no teaching license in Wisconsin. And these things are so easy to verify, too.
A woman who I believe to be her mother does have a school psychologist license, though, which makes me sad: over her four-decade career she spent much of her time dealing with the emotionally and behaviorally disabled.
Also the Dane County District Attorney was apparently dragging his feet on this case. Some links with additional info are here: http://theundergroundconservative.wordpress.com/2011/03/31/early-childhood-teacher-charged-in-death-threats/
Educated at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Part of the $20 in return you get for every tax dollar spent. Bombs and bullets have to be made by someone, and that's economic activity.
And this is because Wisconsin police are corrupt and should have their pay and pensions reduced.
Wisconsin police are also going door-to-door to businesses and trying to extort business owners into putting up pro-union signs by telling them they'll "remember" if the business owner does not comply.
It's out-and-out extortion practiced by police and it's disgusting and immoral.
She does look a bit like Lynette Squeaky Fromme or Sara Jane Moore. Contrary to the liberal template, there actually are historical instances of crazy left wing women who threaten GOP politicians.
Why is she not in custody? Will New Media Meade ask the DA this question?
"Please put your things in order because you will be killed and your families will also be killed due to your actions in the last 8 weeks."
"I hope you have a good time in hell,"
she purportedly listed scenarios in which the legislators and their families would die, including bombings and by "putting a nice little bullet in your head."
“I sent out emails that I was disgusted and very upset by what they were doing.”
The Racine Journal Times downplays this story on Page 9a admidst the larger story that "Anti-picketing e-mail leads to report", where the concern is that "Union Director received alleged threat that contained his address, names of family members."
The Racine Journal Times also hides the story of Sen. Wanggard calling for an investigation into the Union Grove business threats on the bottom of page 11a.
The local papers have become irrelevant. The Blogosphere is where it's at.
After going to the Underground Conservative I see the problem, Ms. Windels is Fat AND unhappy. Also the product of liberal indoctrination. She needs unserstanding, therapy and support. Now, stop picking on her.
So if one "what you talkin' 'bout Willis" sign (in a sea of thousands)defines the entire Tea Party as racist, what does this incident say about union thugs?
Why should anyone condemn the fact that she's been charged?
Condemnation of the actions first. No condemnation of "being charged" as it's just a precursor to guilty or not guilty. Certainly condemnation if found guilty, or if OJ-guilty, but gets off on a technicality or with a suspended sentence from a empathetic bench.
Be honest, though, MM. Were the situation reversed politically, you know the media vitriol would be a sluce of condemnation and calls, nay demands!, for conservative statements in kind.
"Send emails to your representatives. Tell them what they're doing is WRONG...” So she got a little carried away with the tone of her own emails.
"Who's house? OUR house!..." So she got a little carried away with the housecleaning efforts.
Who among us has never been drawn into violent intimidating criminal mob mentality - stirred up by teachers, parents, assemblymen, Democrats, lawyers, judges, unions, TAs - all with a little innocent everyday self-interest on the line - and sent things in emails that, the next morning, we regretted writing or maybe three weeks later when the Department of Justice knocked on our doors?
OF COURSE Ozanne was dragging his ffet on the case. Filing charges related to actual recent death threats against the lawmakers substantiates any claims that 24 hour notice of hearings was a Bad Idea. Which undermines his suit.
There is a pathology among the fringe left that requires serious intervention. The difference between them and the so-called 'tea partiers' is stark. Whereas the anarchist left defaults to violence the tea partiers default to the constitution.
The democratic party is stirring up the useful idiots, dolts and inhabitants of the far left while maintaining plausible deniability. Cannonfodder for the utopian dream easily sacrificed. A softer version of ME suicide bombers are these anarchists seeking attention and glory for the wrong reason.
So do Wisconsin emergency services personnel respond to fires or robberies if you don't have one of those posters advocating fisting in your window?
I have to think that despite all of the propaganda there has to be a silent majority who has had about enough of their kids being walked out on or intimidated into being props at political rallies. They have to be tired of being threatened and they have to be appalled that they have to worry about whether there is anyone left in their government that will enforce the law faithfully and fully without regard to your political views.
The only things unions are good at are intimidation and graft. I think we are seeing how much of the former they are willing to engage in to protect the latter. We are getting a case study in why public unions cannot be allowed to exist.
OF COURSE Ozanne was dragging his ffet on the case. Filing charges related to actual recent death threats against the lawmakers substantiates any claims that 24 hour notice of hearings was a Bad Idea. Which undermines his suit.
This woman is not charged with "allegedly making email threats."
She is charged with ACTUALLY making email threats.
I had the same reaction: "charged" implies "allegedly". It reads like "allegedly" was added to subtly minimize the charges.
But to be fair to the Journal Sentinel, I think that reading is incorrect. This is a bit of awkward editing on the part of Professor Althouse. Here's the full statement:
A 26-year-old woman was charged Thursday with two felony counts and two misdemeanor counts for allegedly making email threats against Wisconsin lawmakers during the height of the battle over Gov. Scott Walker's budget-repair bill.
Breaking that down... She was charged with four counts. Why? For allegedly making threats.
Alright but come on - who here can really blame her?
"Recall Walker..." So she got a little carried away with the recall effort.
"This is what democracy looks like..." So she got a little carried away with the peaceful non-violent protests.
"Send emails to your representatives. Tell them what they're doing is WRONG...” So she got a little carried away with the tone of her own emails.
"Who's house? OUR house!..." So she got a little carried away with the housecleaning efforts.

In any case one of them did the crime, and should have to do the time.
She does look a bit like Lynette Squeaky Fromme or Sara Jane Moore. Contrary to the liberal template, there actually are historical instances of crazy left wing women who threaten GOP politicians.

Sara Jane Moore hung out with leftist organizations, only to become first an FBI informant and then an ATF informant. How likely are government informants to sincerely hold their professed beliefs?
Regardless of her employment status we certainly know what side she's on, so let's not pretend it's a puzzler. I wonder if Judge Sumi would have dismissed the case.
Doesn't count because:
1. she only has good intentions
2. her cause is just and right, extreme measures are not just allowed, but required.
Or some such nonsense.
Last line of story: she is not in custody.
West sider. Figures.
Whoops, forgot.
3.She is a Wisconsin Elementary School Teacher.
Apparently she fell behind on her payments to the Policemen's Benevolent Society.

Geesh. That's how I reacted when someone called St. Charles a "suburb" of Chicago.

Exactly, Irene. Everyone knows St. Charles is a suburb of Geneva.

5' 4" 180 lbs.

Negatory, rubber duckie.

Well, she posted the sign. That's king's X.
No way anyone could have acted earlier.
Yow:
The complaint was filed hours after the Department of Justice expressed concern that Ozanne had not yet filed charges against the suspect.

Her LinkedIn profile says she's an after-school teacher for K-5 kids at a Lutheran church. Dr. Sam Walters would have given her a pass.

Nobody should want to live in Wisconsin.
Just a teeny-tiny minority of violent union protesters... +1
The complaint was filed hours after the Department of Justice expressed concern that Ozanne had not yet filed charges against the suspect.
Brandeis got it right nearly 100 years ago: sunlight is the best disinfectant.
Hope this is the Twitter twat that also threatened Ann.
Stay safe, you crazy kids.

Stay classy, Libtards.
Perusing the standard MSM outlets, I see this is getting about what would be expected as far as national coverage.
I appreciate that the usual trolls on this site have not (yet) risen to her defense. Thanks, good show, and all that.
More of the same and I will feel the need to take your comments much more seriously in the future.

Also, on behalf of Trooper York, I ask that her fatness be ignored.
Neighborhoodist.
West side in Cinci has a bad rep too for some reason.
She is a Wisconsin Elementary School Teacher.
Further proof that you don't have to be that smart to be a school teacher.
"Teach your parents well,

Anyone else see a "Bill Ayers Award For Civil Discourse" in this little darling's future? Maybe an endowed chair somewhere?
"Non-union member non-elementary school teacher emails threats to Wisconsin lawmakers"
I condemn these threats and hope the state prevents her from caring for children after school because she's obviously loony.

After the dust settles, this woman will have her own show on MSNBC or CNN.

(1) "Windels was not in custody. She was expected to be served Friday with her first court appearance in late April"
(2) WI police and firefighters have threatened to boycott businesses that do not put the WI Fist sign in their windows.
Wisconsin has two sets of laws, one for Democrats and one for everyone else.
Welcome to liberal fascism.

She's quite a troubled young lady. Glad nothing came of it and a good reminder for the practice of "restraint of pen and tongue."
Her mother is a school psychologist and her dad is an NP in psychiatry.
