It is the snake doing the talking and it's understood snakes have no respect for proper spelling. The snake is warning about stepping in accordance with the newest attempt at controlling language and being nice about it. Foot=ped. The snake felt it necessary to retain the 'h'. Plus they're terrible with aspirated bilabial plosives.

The last flag is intentionally different. It's showing what a Gadsden would look like if the charges already leveled against Palin, Beck, Tea Partiers, ets. were anything other than desperate.; 1/14/11, 2:04 PM

My favorite, BTW, is the third. The implied threat masked with a disarming smile.
