Man has invented his doom
First step was touching the moon

Reminds me of the fourth Harry Potter movie, when they're running to the old boot. And the cinematographer had the original idea to track the camera through the grass. Durrr.

"track the camera through the grass:

The camera in my picture is pretty much eye level. Tall grass.

The grass is almost tall enough to touch the moon. Aside from the colors, that's what I like best about this photo; the grass itching at the sky.

"...the grass itching at the sky."

HKatz, if you aren't a writer, you should be. That's an evocative turn of phrase.

Did someone say prairie?

Thanks, Penny. I love writing (and words generally).

Does the moon rise in the west in Wisconsin now?

Oh don't get me wrong. I always love your pictures. I don't always love the cinematographer of the Harry Potter movies. I hear he dropped out the the last few installments because "he didn't want to repeat himself." I think he should have been more concerned about repeating other people.

What?

Althouse ran for the tall grass?

I'm disappointed ;)

He caught a glimpse of the moon
After stumbling out of bed
On the way to a 3 AM leak.
He knew he was supposed to
Feel something but a pressing matter
Took precedence, so to speak.

If the camera was at eye level, I'd say more than one moon was rising.

Anything you say, Madame.
