Koi ponds are one of those hobbies I didn't understand until I worked at a place that sold koi. People would pay $7,000 to have single koi shipped from Japan overnight to prepare for a koi show. I saw the thing and it was absolutely enchanting. They're very Japanese: graceful, colorful, and you can't easily tell the difference between the sexes. I remember hearing about one koi that sold for upwards of $250,000. Really remarkable.

Hey! Where's America's Politico?

Last I saw, he was assuring us that the Iraqi forces had the US Army on the run...

Oh nice, here is how our man-child president is flipping the country the bird for not voting "his" way.

"US to spend $200 mn a day on Obama's Mumbai visit"

http://www.ndtv.com/article/india/us-to-spend-200-mn-a-day-on-obama-s-mumbai-visit-64106

The US would be spending a whopping $200 million (Rs. 900 crore approx) per day on President Barack Obama's visit to the city.

"The huge amount of around $200 million would be spent on security, stay and other aspects of the Presidential visit," a top official of the Maharashtra Government privy to the arrangements for the high-profile visit said.

About 3,000 people including Secret Service agents, US government officials and journalists would accompany the President. Several officials from the White House and US security agencies are already here for the past one week with helicopters, a ship and high-end security instruments....

When it comes to spending money, who's your Daddy, eh?

HD - Do you think Alec Baldwin will at long last make good on his threat?

He and Randy Quaid could form an actors colony in Edmonton.

Went to vote, but the school parking lot was full and people were parking up the street. Have not seen that before. This is generally a Republican "cloth coat" neighborhood.

Will try again later.

Gah! I'm too pissed about the shady backroom deal that just stuck us with an 800 million choo-choo that no one wants!

Even Tom Barrett said it was shady dealmaking, and he's pro-choo-choo.

Doyle can't be gone fast enough.

Hagar ...Just get in line and stay there until you have voted. No REMFs are needed today.

@ HDHouse,

I hear that Yemen is lovely this time of year.

By the way, all three of your "witches" are way hotter than Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer and Hillary Clinton.

Just sayin'.

Give a man a fish you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will buy it a bicycle.

Or something.

hd is going anywhere.

Nobody is buying in the Hamptons during Obama's depression.

HD...Is that the new line-up on Fox news? No wonder they always beat MSNBC, who only has ugly witches. The real story today is that the powerful Witchcraft Spiritual casting out strength in Palin has sent Obama into India and Hillary into Malaysia. That is quite a triumph for Nov. 2010. Now onto Nov. 2012 when Roves, Bushes and Romneys all feel a need to leave on sudden trips abroad.

This new PETA ad teaser is a lot more pleasant than the Pam Anderson one where she appeared to have one giant boob.

Nicely done, Chip, you got the movement just right.

I'm moving as I am finding this country inching toward the right and over the edge of the cliff.

HD is searching for a clue; the country is moving right, but it's running as fast as it can, and it's moving away for the cliff.

And, if you're really moving, don't let the door hit you...

PS Agree with Clyde; I'll take HD's witches over the harridans in the Democrat Party any day.

PPS He forgot the apprentice witch, Ruth McClung.

Well, duh. How else is the little fish going to get from the pond to the train station?

Olbermann March 22, after the Obamacare vote:

Failed Mr. Boehner. You lost. You blew it. . . . I would think the “will and desires of your fellow countrymen” should be pretty damn clear by now: Your countrymen think your policies are of the past, and your tactics are of the gutter. . . . And so I offer this olive branch to the defeated Republicans and Tea Partiers. . . . You are rapidly moving from “The Party of No,” past “The Party Of No Conscience,” towards “The Party of No Relevancy.” You are behind the wheel of a political Toyota. And before the mid-terms, you will have been reduced to only being this generation’s home for the nuts.

Keep Leaning Forward Keef and maybe your head will eventually pop out of your arse.

@Hagar, opposite situation at my polling place. I'm stuck in a left-wing lunatic fringe precinct, and the turnout is very low. I had no lines when I went in this morning and my wife, who went mid-morning says she saw only the poll workers.

That could change by tonight, of course.

Opus One Media said...

@BJM

now now.try and keep a civil tongue. If you think that following Boehner's lead is any different than being in a parade band behind the elephant show...well..just watch where you step.

HD...Don't you wish your Dem witches were hot like ours? The problem is only beginning for the GOP, but don't you wish you had their problems instead of Obama's teleprompter to guide you?

To continue tg's theme, consider this update from Michelle Malkin regarding CT and DE turnout.

We may have a very buff witch in the coven after tonight.

PS Not to ruin HD's day, but... why not?

On election day, the campus usually is filled with chalked slogans for one Democratic candidate or another.

Today was no different. Someone had written "Barrett for Equality" in many places on the sidewalks.

The *change* this time was that another group apparently slipped in afterward and, underneath "Equality" wrote, "You mean Socialism."
