How much snow has fallen so far? More than enough to styme my car. Perhaps I should go for a long winter walk, But it's already past eleven o'clock. So to sleep I must go and have a great snooze, While the streets are swept clean by the city's snow crews.
As the snow flies On a cold and gray Copenhagen morn Al Gore grabs the mic and shouts out a warn: "Climate ghetto"
And the shepherd cries 'cause if there's one thing that he don't need it's another e-hack and another press leak Climate ghetto
People, don't you understand Al Gore needs a helping hand or he'll grow to be an angry old man some day Take a look at you and me, Do we really need electricity? Do we simply buy the line: "ManBearPig lurks within? "
Well the globe turns and a hungry Al Gore with a private jet he plays to our fears: "Hard rain's a gonna blow" Climate ghetto
And his hunger burns so he starts to roam Danish streets at night and he learns how to steal and he gets uptight Climate ghetto
Then one night in desperation Al Gore breaks away He invents internets, steals carbon credits, tries to run, but he don't get far And the shepherd cries
As a crowd gathers 'round an angry Al Gore he's down on his luck with a phony ice core Climate ghetto
And as his big scheme dies, on a cold and gray Copenhagen mornin', another million dollar grant is torn Climate ghetto
Did you measure 4 inches yourself, or get that off the news? I'm about a mile from you. When I did a first run with the snowblower at 9pm last night I had a nice clean edge to measure. 7 inches.
Now be careful out there, my friend. Don't go walking around in that cold Kentucky rain, thumbin' for a ride on any of those lonely Kentucky backroads.
You could catch pneumonia!!
(Wisconsin snow keeps floating down... and out ahead's another mound... that I'll... go... shov'lin' to.
In central Iowa, snow fell for a long time Making it a storm worthy of rhyme. While I shoveled (twice) last night The accumulation came to half my daughter’s height. The job (mostly) done, I took a walk with a snifter But to get my kid over a drift, (sorely) I had to lift her

Four inches?
Wow! Turn on the steam heat radiators and stay up blogging until the snowfall reaches the deck level.
Up to the door hinge?
Dash Snow?
Enough Snow has fallen to cover up Dash Snow's bloated corpse lying in the back yard?
Enough to pour a big snifter of Courvoisier.
@Palladian LOL. Damned autocomplete. Fixed (to "snow").
You got more than we did -- so far at least. We are expected to get more through the night and all day tomorrow.
We'll see if it's enough to close the schools. The kids haven't had a snow day in years.
We'll be buried in the morning, but right now it's just four inches
In the morning, snowed in, Meade will squeeze oranges
And the shepherd cries... or whatever
We need some more regular cafes around here. I've been keeping a couple off-topic things -- they are probably stale by now.
Since MM just stole my rhyme I've gotta say as long as your fringe?

@Peter It just so happens, I have put up an inn. One post up.

Buried by morning,
but now just four inches.
Awaken, snowed in,
Meade will squeeze the juice oranges.

Seems to me somebody gets creative when he gets snowed in.
Well done, Meade!

Hush my shepherd
Don't cry my shepherd
The Meade will squeeze oranges.
Just rain, a deluge, here in Philly. Have to go to New Jersey today if it has not been washed into the ocean.
I wish we had snow instead. We got way way too much rain this year.

With Al Gore as my muse. )
Which also, sadly, rhymes with the most important - but disappointing - measurement of a young man we once met at a sling party at the Jackhammer.

Four 'undreds works too, sort of. Lucky we're warming.
