Good thinking. When times get as ghastly as they have been this weekend, you have to walk away for a little bit and remember to live.

You don't walk away from what has to be done, you walk away to get some perspective.

WV "flang" In TX, the past tense of fling.

I watched Coffee and Cigarettes.

The bit btwg Steve Coogan and Alfred Molina was the best.

I love trees... there should be more of them.

On weeks such as this, it's really goo to be a child, blissfully unaware of anything in the world but Spongebob Squarepants or a lego set. Sometimes I wonder what's the point in becoming aware of the world when all it does is bring pain and anguish.

I'd get your pints in now before MayorBloombergism comes to middle America as sponsored by Nurse Ratchet Pelosi and none of us are allowed to enjoy a little Chunky Monkey every now and then.

Being very childlike myself, I was delighted by the weather and unaware that the House had passed a Heath care/insurance bill. Do pro-life activists get upset if their group health plans cover abortion? That is likely to be a much bigger personal contribution to paying for abortion than any federal program would be.

Ratchet=Ratched. That's one evil dame whatever you call her.

It was a spectacular two days here too. Doors and windows open, gutters got cleaned, Christmas lights up (not to be lit until Thanksgiving) one strand not working and will need to be replaced.

Part of the joy of eating is overeating. But beyond a certain age you can't do ice cream, or any dessert for that matter, or even three square meals a day, or truth be told even two square meals a day without putting on the pounds. I'm talking about normal people not that tiny percentage blessed with the lean gene. Oh well, there's always memory.

It was a warm day in New England as well. Indian summer. For dinner I made Hawaiian pizza -- the kids favorite. Their side had ham and pineapple, our side had prosciutto and pineapple. In other news, I happily discovered that Drawing Comics the Marvel Way is still in print.

Feh. You bought into the Frozen Custard Conspiracy.

You should've screamed for ice cream. Babcock Hall on the Union Terrace.

ricpic - the key is when you're still young(like in your late 20s, early 30s) to get really fit and strong and then you can eat like a horse the rest of your life - provided you keep up the fitness routine!

I was wondering who took my ice cream.

We've just finished watching The Big Sleep. What I wouldn't give to have Robert Mitchum's voice, height, looks, etc.

Frozen custard -- obviously our hostess and her man have their cholesterol under control.

Warm fall days is the only time to get Michael's Frozen Custard, because it melts way too fast during the sultry days of summer.

One of the many things I miss about Madison - Micheal's Custard
