He was really something, though, and the girls (5 and 2) really got a kick out of it. 'course they were the reason I wasn't quick enough with the camera.

You need a rooster walking around to keep the ticks down.

Our dogs would be solid ticks after visiting my folks until they got some chickens from McMurray. (http://www.mcmurrayhatchery.com/)

The chickens roamed a couple of acres and the ticks disappeared. They stayed gone for a couple of years even after the chickens were gone.; 6/16/09, 3:23 PM
